Your last choice track before the meteors hit?

This is a great thread for us hopeful :grad:
My choice is the Mission Impossible theme song (this version only 1:11!) :cool2:

Though seriously, here is the song that had most impact on me:

Magic Flight - Space

Especially in light of the 50-year anniversary of Gagarin's flight to space...

Hmm well if nothing else was going on, like I was stuck with my working laptop and youtube and everyone else was safe etc. I would play the worst new pop song ever. Just for kicks. Friday by Rebbecca Black.

Mmmm curious that after anart you change your attitude for this thread.

I find it curious that you have found my attitude in this thread curious. I have a wide taste in music and in humor. Pop culture is funny to me, and I still love my memories of the classics.

Anart had a good suggestion for musical choice. And I had to wear a flapper dress for the play that I sang in, so I remember it quite well.

So.....ok.

Yeah ok, I have checked to what you referred and realised that wasn't you, it was another user with a flower in her image.... sorry, so much flower for me. And it was because she was like agressive and then I watched your post and thought it was the same person.

Ah yes, I looked it up and see what you were saying. LOL! No worries, different flower icon people. :D

So many tunes to pick from, maybe I'd go with Stardust by the man with the velvet voice, Nat King Cole. Maybe his best song.

And now the purple dusk of twilight time
Steals across the meadows of my heart
High up in the sky the little stars climb
Always reminding me that we're apart

You wander down the lane and far away
Leaving me a song that will not die
Love is now the stardust of yesterday
The music of the years gone by

Sometimes I wonder why I spend
The lonely night dreaming of a song
The melody haunts my reverie
And I am once again with you
When our love was new
And each kiss an inspiration
But that was long ago
Now my consolation
Is in the stardust of a song

Beside a garden wall
When stars are bright
You are in my arms
The nightingale tells his fairy tale
A paradise where roses bloom
Though I dream in vain
In my heart I know it will always remain
My stardust melody
The memory of love's refrain

Great Gig In The Sky with Pink Floyd maybe. Or the whole of Dark Side of the Moon and then Wish You Were Here afterwards :D.
Or The Prophet's Song with Queen.

I love all these songs! Great thread. I'd go with the Circle of Life from the Lion King. My favorite movie as a kid.

And for the survivors I'd play "You Are Loved" from Josh Groban on the cosmic jukebox.

Edited: for clarity

i'll go completely the opposite of 'ill be seeing you' that anart recommended.

probably think of some fast rock (with lots of drum & bass) song with lyrics something to the effect of 'going down in a blaze of glory'. probably something from 'the offspring' or similar 8)

but then, it is more likely the song is ringing inside of your head because you wont have the time to reach for your ipod to play it ;)

Final hour/minutes – have a weakness  for the strings of BB, Freddie or Albert King http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fk2prKnYnI&feature=related or perhaps Otis Redding by the Dock of the Bay, and if time permits, perhaps also a nice piano violin concerto by Amadeus or Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQVeaIHWWck&feature=related

WOW! after reading some peoples attitude to the idea of the thread i decided to leave it alone as i dont want to offend anyone and it was never ment to be that way but there're some really REALLY good and, to me atleast, possative songs that i personally woulnt have ever thought of. i love REM's end of the world and also some classical music i would never ever have heard. Im so very greatful for all the input and i think i may have totally changed my mind from the orginal post i made. Seriously some of the music offered has sent a tingle down my spine and might have even ( along with some recent articles and the recent session) changed my perspective on things. Thanks to all those that have participated.

( as an aside i dont post much on here , not becuse i dont agree monumentally with what this forum is about but, because every qustion i have ever had is always ALWAYS covered in the search function. i enjoy every second on this forum no matter the subject material )

thank you, all of you :)
