Recovering from Arthritis

Thank you for sharing your update, Claudia. I agree with others: There's no need to feel guilty on taking this medication. As it is being said, sometimes we have to choose our battle. And if this option helps you in the process to eventual betterment of your condition, then I wouldn't see any any reason why not to include it.

Wishing you all the best for the surgery as well, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. :flowers:

I agree @ClaudiaYG. Taking drugs and medication, and having operations, can take a toll on you. I can certainly attest to and identify what you're going through. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel so I would encourage you to stay the course. You have the Fellowship behind you, and I can probably safely say that everyone who has posted on this thread has you in their thoughts and prayers. I know I do.
Anyway, I've said enough. It's a journey, but man oh man, there can be some big potholes on the road. The good news is we're hear to help you navigate them.
BIG HUGS SWEETIE :hug2: :hug2:

Dear Claudia, don't feel guilty about anything, it's not worth it, you have endured these sufferings as best you could and with courage...
You are in our thoughts and prayers every day, personally in the morning and evening with the group, we are all with you...
I have noted in my diary the date of the 25th for your surgery, may the Divine Cosmic Spirit extend its protective hand over you...
I embrace you...

And I will be very honest with you, deciding to take the medication makes me feel judged, that I failed. That I failed all of you, my husband and myself.

Even though I know that you care about me, that you want me to be well but sometimes it is inevitable to have those thoughts.
Maybe if you prayed and ask for some answer or guidance without anticipation., the answer do not come as some additional work on yourself but answers come from outside like the prescription from doctor, some medicine or pian releif? Im not rejecting the standard madical procedures or medications if the condition that is in advanced stage or there is existing process of medication which proved to be working. And if pain becomes unbearable isn't it better to get some releif in order to help you to stay sane and more calm?

Dear Claudia, it's quite human to feel somewhat disappointed be it because the healing process takes longer than expected or because of having to rely on pills and supports from others despite all your personal efforts. Well, I would surely have the same kind of thoughts like yours fluttering around my head now and then in your situation.

What I've learned though is that depending on the person, well to be clear I think this applies to most people whenever they find themselves on the receiving end, in the sense of receiving support from others, it might be more stressful than one would think at first glance. Here we all want to offer our help to you genuinely, but my take is that we have it much easier than you as the ones giving you support than you on the receiving end. So no worries, as you know, we've been repeatedly told so many lies about who we are that we more often than not might feel bad about not being able to "fix oneself", that is, according to modern social mandates.

I'll keep you in my prayers for the best outcome on March 25th.

I think you should not struggle with yourself, or want to control, but rather honor yourself and go through those emotions that come up. As for the judgmental thoughts, why believe them, rather let them go (whether you take the meds or not).
You've already shown so much strength and courage, and it's a little exhausting, but faith is with you!
I noted March 25. Prayers will definitely accompany you. Big hugs :hug2:

I understand too! But you know? I think it must be a program/belief that you can let go of now. I'm pretty sure that if anything, most of us are super proud of you, and admire you!!! You have been the contrary of stubborn or inflexible, dear Claudia! You are an example of perseverance for many to follow. So, it´s all the contrary of what a part of you believes. If you ask me, whatever works is good! It doesn´t matter that it needs to be this or that medication. And some medicine is really great, not the whole system is bad. In the end, YOU deserve the best. So, whatever gets you there is excellent.

We'll be praying for you on March 25th!!! :hug2:

Hi Clau,

Not at all, I think this comes from a misconception of what the expectations of everyone around you are. What everyone around you wants is your well being, no matter how it is attained, not for you to follow a single specific path to get to a place where you're well. It is not conditional.

And speaking from my own experience, I know how much you've tried, so many avenues.. but if this is the path to follow now.. you have my full support, from knowing you personally, I think you have such a special gift of intuition, so I, and I am sure your husband and your housemates and everyone here, trust your choices.

Perhaps, put another way Clau, what you have here is support and interest, not judgement. So, go at it with the best mindset and the best intention, no need to add any unnecessary stress about the decision, specially if it's based on an imaginary notion that has no basis in reality, specially when the reality it's quite the opposite :)

Thank you for the update and you will be in my prayers dear Clau.

Absolutely, what everyone else said!!
It reminds me of that famous little story:

A storm descends on a small town, and the downpour soon turns into a flood. As the waters rise, the local preacher kneels in prayer on the church porch, surrounded by water. By and by, one of the townsfolk comes up the street in a canoe.

"Better get in, Preacher. The waters are rising fast."

"No," says the preacher. "I have faith in the Lord. He will save me."

Still the waters rise. Now the preacher is up on the balcony, wringing his hands in supplication, when another guy zips up in a motorboat.

"Come on, Preacher. We need to get you out of here. The levee's gonna break any minute."

Once again, the preacher is unmoved. "I shall remain. The Lord will see me through."

After a while the levee breaks, and the flood rushes over the church until only the steeple remains above water. The preacher is up there, clinging to the cross, when a helicopter descends out of the clouds, and a state trooper calls down to him through a megaphone.

"Grab the ladder, Preacher. This is your last chance."

Once again, the preacher insists the Lord will deliver him.

And, predictably, he drowns.

A pious man, the preacher goes to heaven. After a while he gets an interview with God, and he asks the Almighty, "Lord, I had unwavering faith in you. Why didn't you deliver me from that flood?"

God shakes his head. "What did you want from me? I sent you two boats and a helicopter."

Flexibility is good! Best wishes and good vibes to you, you're in my prayers..

Thank you for your words, I receive them with much appreciation and love.

I have already received the results of the blood tests after 6 months of daily autohemotherapy and supplements.

The values indicating inflammation in the body are all negative. And one marker in particular I have not seen negative for 6-7 years.

One antibody marker is still positive but it did decrease by 30-35%.

Another antibody marker came back negative but other antibodies are still positive and active.

The doctor mentioned that the disease is certainly more controlled than it was 6 months ago but there is still activity.

I am going to continue with daily autohemotherapy, Vitamin D3, Omega3, Curcuma fitosomada and add a disease modifying drug which is Leflunomide.

Leflunomide has side effects mainly respiratory infections, I welcome your suggestions if I need to add other supplements to help me with the side effects if they occur. I am going to take the medication for 6 months until I repeat blood tests.

Seeing these results on my blood tests makes me feel calm, confident and that I am on the right track.

Thank you for reading and I hug you all!

I have read that NAC is great for the lungs. It's a glutathione precursor, so will also probably be a boost for you overall. I'm sure one of our medical specialists can provide more options, too.

Beyond supplements, you might consider the Samozdrav breathing device for lung health more generally. It's quite cheap when compared to the HBOT, and looks to be a very good therapy device.

All the best to you, and I will keep you in my prayers on the 25th!

Hi Claudia,
Seeing these results on my blood tests makes me feel calm, confident and that I am on the right track.
Great! You are for sure on the right track, and I'm glad to learn that you are seeing the results of your effort and dedication. You'll be on my thoughts and prayers the 25th!🙏

I have read that NAC is great for the lungs.
I have read the same, and along with glycine powder could be ideal to stimulate glutathione synthesis, which is best for the lungs.

Big hug dear Claudia:hug2:
