Earthquakes around the world

The orbital rhythm of the moon likely has a bearing on that, it has about a 15 day swing from peak to trough in the distance to earth.
Yes, the moon comes to mind. But it's not a general pattern visible in the previous years of seismic activities. Also, I saw the frequency doesn't match the full moon / new moon pattern. The current yellow bar falls on a full moon, but the previous red bars fall more in between full/new moons. I don't know if the distance change is linked to the phases or has its own frequency.

Subjective.
Every hypothesis is subjective. But hypotheses are always a necessary part of any research. From Wikipedia:

"In Plato's Meno (86e–87b), Socrates dissects virtue with a method used by mathematicians,[6] that of "investigating from a hypothesis."[7] In this sense, 'hypothesis' refers to a clever idea or to a convenient mathematical approach that simplifies cumbersome calculations.[8] Cardinal Bellarmine gave a famous example of this usage in the warning issued to Galileo in the early 17th century: that he must not treat the motion of the Earth as a reality, but merely as a hypothesis.[9]"

So, in the future be careful with your judgements. Judgements are easy. Thinking is not so easy.
