Which romantic songs do you like?

There's so many great songs, I think one of my favorite song writers, when it comes to romantic music is Juan Luis Guerra, he has a very delicate and fine writing. Here's a few of his that I enjoy

Open the leaves of the wind, my life
Place a saddle on the river
Ride and if you get cold you wrap yourself up
With the skin of the stars,
As a pillow the full moon, my life
And as a dream my love

And a poppy flower told me yesterday
That I will see you, that I will see you
And a rainbow painted my skin
To wake up with you

And a poppy flower told me yesterday
That I'm gonna see you, I'm gonna see you
And a rainbow painted my skin
To wake up with you

Close the night and the day, my life
So that everything may be ours
And a great escape of kisses
May rest on your mouth
And may the singing of the roses, my life
Tell you how much I love you

And a poppy flower told me yesterday
That I'm going to see you, I'm going to see you
And a rainbow painted my skin
To dawn with you

And a poppy flower told me yesterday
That I'm gonna see you, I'm gonna see you
And a rainbow painted my skin
To wake up with you

This is another one.

They say that the flowers wouldn't stop singing
Your name, your name my dear
That the waves of the seas made a shawl for you
Of foam, clouds and lilies

And the moon was not convinced
And she came down to look at your heart
And when she looked at you she said she had never seen a radiant sun
Lovelier than (you) my blessing

To hold you, to kiss you, to walk hand in hand with you
My darling, to look at you, to say I love you in your ear
I tell you, what a blessing

They say that the palms trees would clap their hands upon hearing
Your footsteps, your footsteps my dear
That the rivers overflow out of their banks upon contemplating
Your eyes, your divine eyes

And a star was not convinced
And came down to look at your heart
And when she looked at you she said she had never seen a full moon
More beautiful than (you) my blessing

To hold you, to kiss you, to walk hand in hand with you
My heaven, to look at you, to say "I love you" in your ear.
I tell you, what a blessing

When you speak to me I hear a love chorus
For two
The falsetto of an "I love you" attached to
Your voice, what a blessing

To have you, to kiss you, to walk hand in hand with you
My darling, to look at you, to say I love you in your ear
I tell you, what a blessing

To hold you, to kiss you, to walk hand in hand with you
My darling, to look at you, to say I love you in your ear
I tell you, what a blessing

A few others.. this one, but by Andrea Boccelli (in my opinion), timeless and one of my all time favorites

This one, which has so many versions, but I like Shakira's Spanish and French version

But if you're more dancy.. there's a salsa version and a merengue version of it too, here's one of them

Going back to English, here's a few others

I haven't been a fan of romance songs either since my mid 20s; they are either superficial and irrelevant to me and my life, or they just make me pine for something that doesn't exist, at least not anymore, and I sigh and roll my eyes. There is one however that for some reason stands out above all of the others and has stuck with me:
This one would be a distant second, due to their love being extremely deep, nuanced, and meaningful (especially if you're familiar with the movie):
Otherwise, there are a few more I listen to occasionally because I find that they have a catchy beat, but couldn't really care less about the romance aspect.

A Norteña song. (from north of Mexico)

Your New Sweetheart.

Leave my way free, follow your path
My destiny is poverty, your ambition is money
Find yourself another sweetheart, because I don't love you anymore
'You thought to improve yourself with the love of a rich man
How happy you had with your new sweetie
But then you left him because he wasn't your type

You come to forgive you, you come with your imprudence
I don't forget your name, I don't forget your absence
I am poor, I am not rich, but I am ashamed
Why are you sad? It's useless to cry to me
Because since you left you left me among the flowers
Now I have another sweetheart that perfumes my loves

Being a bit of a 'classical nerd' I can't help but posting one of my favorite recordings of a romantic song. It's a song called 'Adelaide' composed by Beethoven and here sung absolutely stupendously by one of the greatest (IMO) classical tenors of all time, Fritz Wunderlich. For those of you not familiar with Wunderlich, I highly recommend listening to more of his recordings. His singing and his voice gives me chills every time, the technique is so perfect and the timbre is sublime! :-)

ADDED: while I'm at it, I'll post another one by Wunderlich. Short and sweet, a song called 'Im wundershönen Monat Mai' by Schumann (from the song cycle Dichterliebe).
