Is China Preparing a 'Special Military Operation' In Taiwan?

Well done, old man! Blinkin had just tried so hard, he was crucifying himself there in Beijing, and then grandpa whispered with his senile tongue and everything was on the "smarty".
NBC: Biden's words about Xi Jinping caught American officials by surprise

Senior representatives of the US administration were caught off guard by the statements of the head of the White House Joe Biden to Chinese President Xi Jinping, NBC News reports, citing sources.

Earlier it was reported that the American leader, speaking at a fundraising meeting for the election campaign in California, called Xi Jinping a "dictator."

According to the TV channel, Biden made these statements to the Chinese president just 24 hours after the official visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Beijing.

After the statement of the head of state, American officials privately tried to clarify that his words did not reflect a change in the official policy of the administration.

At the same time, as noted in the publication, representatives of the US administration do not expect that Biden's words will damage "progress in relations with Beijing."

Deputy State Department spokesman Vedant Patel also expressed hope that the derogatory statements of the American leader to Xi Jinping will not affect the schedule of upcoming contacts between representatives of the two countries.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Washington's mentoring tone had become unacceptable for a huge number of states. At the same time, he pointed out that the United States continues to pursue a contradictory policy.
NBC: слова Байдена о Си Цзиньпине застигли американских чиновников врасплох

Молодец, старикашка! Блинкин только что так старался, распинался там в Пекине, а тут дедуля шепнул своим маразматическим языком и все на смарку.

Kind of interesting, isn't it? Especially now, when the US is considering allocating some funds from military support for Ukraine to Taiwan.

Lost military equipment highlights issues: report

LACKING OVERSIGHT: Major discrepancies were found between inventory and accounting records, and no one has been held accountable, the National Audit Office said

Incidents of military equipment going missing this year demonstrate a lack of strict management and structure in the Ministry of National Defense, the National Audit Office said in its Central Government Budget Audit Report.

A handgun and other components were reported missing from the navy’s inventory in March, followed by bullets and other weapons that were allegedly acquired by gangsters in the same month, said the report, which was released on July 27.

The management unit failed to check and take inventory during the process of maintaining, packing, transferring, storing and distributing ordnance, it said.

Such incidents have taken days to be reported to the top levels of the military, the report said, adding that regular inventory checks failed to identify the missing military equipment, showing that inventory management is “not rigorous.”

Regulations stipulate that when discrepancies between actual inventory and the accounting records are found, the cause of the discrepancy should be identified and the records should be adjusted accordingly, the report said.

Inventory should be replenished when items are lost or damaged, it added.

The ministry is responsible for compiling the details of military materiel, and conducting accounting checks monthly, the report said.

Last year, the ministry checked the naval weapons and logistics management information system records, it said.

After comparing its findings with the records of the Office of Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Logistics, huge discrepancies were found regarding the number and cost of materiel, it said.

An inventory inspection found about 560,000 more of some items — valued at NT$141.66 billion (US$4.47 billion) — than in the accounting records, while about 430,000 other items — valued at NT$87.9 billion — had been recorded, but could not be accounted for, the report said.

The reasons for the discrepancies were not looked into, and no one was held accountable
, the report said.

Despite coordinating its units’ operations every month, the ministry failed to find the accounting mistakes, it said. [...]

4 large Chinese banks withdraw from the London Bullion Market Association - Wikipedia

My Question – “What do you think of the news that ICE Benchmark Administration claims that the Bank of China itself requested that it be suspended from the LBMA Gold Price auction ( *Subject to a temporary period of suspension as requested by Bank of China), and especially in the context that there were 3 Chinese banks in the auction (Bank of China, Bank of Communications, ICBC) and now there are none?”

ChatGPT answer – “The news that ICE Benchmark Administration (IBA) claims that the Bank of China itself requested its suspension from the LBMA Gold Price auction is highly unusual and noteworthy.

The probability of a major financial institution like the Bank of China voluntarily requesting its own suspension from such an auction is extremely low.

In the context of financial markets, suspensions are typically imposed by regulatory authorities or exchanges in response to various factors.

This event is unique and raises questions about the specific reasons behind the Bank of China’s suspension and the role of regulatory authorities in this matter.

The absence of all Chinese banks, including Bank of China, from the auction after previously participating is also a significant change that warrants further scrutiny and investigation by relevant financial industry regulators and media so as to ensure transparency and integrity in the functioning of financial markets.”

Just watched this Carl Zha presentation on the history of Taiwan. Its brief on ancient history, with things getting way more detailed as the tumultuous times of the Dutch, Spanish, British and Japanese Empires ramp up their land grab games aimed at Taiwan. Its as complex as the early settlement of the Americas, with lots of natives, colonists, vying world powers, slaughters, wars, etc.

Then there is the American period after WW2, featuring the KMT getting US military training and the installation of American nukes aimed at mainland China. Also it was the period of 'White Terror' where any non-KMT political activities could be punished by imprisonment and execution. Meanwhile, the KMT continued to present itself as the rightful ruler of all China, while its main supporters were the landlord class. In '71, the UN expelled the KMT, recognizing the Peoples Republic of China for a seat at the Security Council.

The Shanghai Communique signed by Nixon stated that the Chinese are free to sort out the Taiwan question for themselves, and Zha states that at this point, most of the population of Taiwan identified as Chinese.

Chiang Kai-Shek died and was replaced by Chiang Ching-kuo, who ended the White Terror and martial law, beginning democratization at the winding down of the cold war. This happened at the same time as democratization in South Korea. Both regions were US-backed right wing military dictatorships formerly, and the US needed their regional vassals to be more democratic looking to give US support legitimacy.

Reps from Taiwan and China meet in Hong Kong, agreeing that there is only One China - this is called the '92 Consensus. This is a milestone still referred to today.

Zha mentions that Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIA) was created by the Americans decades ago, and almost half of it cuts across a large section of mainland China. So when we hear about China 'violating Taiwanese airspace' these days, this is what the MSM is talking about:

The tiny pink arrow at the bottom left of the box on the right had the MSM up in arms. Threat detected!

He then goes into more modern times (this vid is from 7 months ago), and answers questions from the host, saying basically that China fear is good for justifying military budget spending, 'defending Taiwan' instead investing in US infrastructure or health care.

All in all, a good watch for a basic understanding Taiwan's 5000-year old historical links to mainland China.

Another short bit from Carl Zha. He says China has no interest in SMO Taiwan because time is on China's side, and they are getting stronger every day. The Taiwan issue is not as pressing as it was for Ukraine and Russia, where the SMO started in the context of outright Nazification, the tens of thousands already killed in the Donbas, the shady biolabs, talk of giving Ukraine nukes, accession to NATO and the EU, and a planned offensive.

Due to American Empire investment in Israel and the Middle East, as well as Ukraine, conflict in Taiwan instigated by the West is unlikely. Unless they are totally insane and can't see they are already overextended. The PTB will try to keep tensions high with light provocations here and there in order to justify US presence, but there's really no military resources for SMO Taiwan. The RT hosts gives a Pentagon quote that the US would run out of ammo in less than two weeks if SMO Taiwan began. They might have tons of military bases around the world, but their capabilities are weak.

An assassination attempt on Xi Jinping was prevented in Beijing — Media
An assassination attempt has been made on Chinese leader Xi Jinping. This is evidenced by the video distributed on the WEB.

The footage shows how a black car tried to drive through the gates of the Chinese leader's residence in Beijing. Several guards reacted quickly and quickly dragged the driver out of the car and carried him away from the scene. Other palace guards began to examine the car.

It is still unknown whether this was an assassination attempt. There is no official information and it is unlikely to be received, since China treats such things strictly.

Recall that on Tuesday, March 5, it became known that China will increase defense spending this year by 7.2%, to a record 1.67 trillion yuan.

The president of the ANO "Center for Asia-Pacific Studies" Sergey Sanakoev, in a comment for the "Paragraph", recalled that during Xi Jinping's time in power, not only the defense budget, but also the country's GDP as a whole increased:

"China's economy is developing, so in this case, all these percentages of GDP are relative. It is impossible to say unequivocally that Beijing is preparing for a military confrontation in the near future and therefore has increased military spending," he said.

The expert does not believe that China is trying to intimidate anyone in the region in this way or is signaling a desire to return Taiwan by force. On the contrary, these actions are a forced response to aggression from the West:

"Beijing demonstrates that it is ready for any threats from the aggressors. The increase in the military budget is a kind of warning," Sanakoev expressed his opinion.

In addition, Xi Jinping instructed the military to "focus on preparing to participate in real combat operations," which means that technical development, production, exercises and related measures will be strengthened, and a serious transformation process will take place.

Of course, the title of the article is too loud. What really happened does not look like any attempt at assassination. It looks more like a drunken prank by some idiot.

Конечно же название статьи через чур громкое. То что реально произошло ни на какую попытку покушения не похоже. Похоже больше на пьяную выходку какого то идиота.
