There's an interesting article about the 2022 Eurovision contest cheating in the mainstream media French newspaper "Le Parisien". Interesting because it show the deep of the control the PTB have an how they proceed. In substance it's interesting too because with this kind of fraud the PTB shoot itself in the foot.

Here is the translation :

Eurovision: Romania assures that its vote was not taken into account

The Romanian jury explains that it wanted to give its twelve points to Moldova, and that they finally went to Ukraine, the winner of the contest.

May 15 2022

We're not talking about cheating at this point, but a serious setback. The Romanian jury's vote in favor of Moldova was "replaced" on Saturday at Eurovision by a "substitute calculated in a non-transparent way," Romanian public television TVR said Sunday. "We were unpleasantly surprised to see that the vote was not taken into account in the final ranking, with the organizers assigning another set of scores to the competitors in the final," TVR wrote in a statement. "We clarify that the Romanian jury decided to award the maximum score to the representatives of Moldova," it detailed.

On Saturday night, the twelve points of this country went not to Moldova but to Ukraine, which won the competition. Romania also regretted that "the rules were changed during the game", its presenter was not "allowed" to intervene live as the majority of other countries to communicate the vote of the jury of his country. Depending on the response it receives from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the organizing body of Eurovision, it reserves the right "to take measures to correct the situation.

Irregular voting patterns identified in six countries

At Eurovision, jurors from each country distribute points to the different countries and viewers vote by phone. On Saturday night, the EBU pointed out "certain irregular voting patterns identified in the results of six countries" in the second semi-final and the final.

It did not specify which states were affected or whether these irregularities could have an impact on the final ranking. "The EBU takes any alleged attempt to manipulate the voting at the Eurovision Song Contest very seriously," it said in a statement. Ukraine won the contest in Italy ahead of the United Kingdom and Spain, thanks to the vote of viewers who voted for the group representing the country invaded by Russian troops.

On Sunday, Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko regretted that the Kiev jury did not award any points to Poland and Lithuania, two important supporters against Moscow. "Such an assessment does not reflect our true attitude towards you, our closest friends in Europe. It is a real shame to give Poland and Lithuania 0 points. Ukrainians give you 12 points!" he assured on Facebook.

As I was doing my rounds this evening, I came across an article that had an interesting take on it, I will translate it below:

In the photo, on the left, one of the escorts of Ukraine's Eurovision representatives shows the trident on his T-shirt. This medieval symbol did not become Ukraine's emblem until 1917-1918, at the initiative of historian Mikhail Hrushevsky, and was adopted as the country's coat of arms in 1996. Its base can be drawn in two different ways and the variations in its colors also have particular meanings. The variant carried by the individual in the photo is not the official version but that of the flag bearers.

The annual Eurovision Song Contest took place last weekend in Turin, Italy. The official organizer of this annual song contest is the European Broadcasting Union (European Broadcasting Union or EBU), which groups the European state television stations, with an estimated audience of 200 million people.

At the initiative of France's Delphine Ernotte, president of the EBU and France Televisions, Russia - which is a full member of the EBU - was excluded from the competition because of its military intervention in Ukraine. Of the 65 EBU member countries, only 25 participated in this year's Eurovision.

The truth is that one has to be very naive to believe in the honesty of the Eurovision Song Contest, which is above all a propaganda tool... created by NATO in 1955 (see the documents included at the end of this information) and which has always been under the strict control of that war bloc.

The real referee in Eurovision is the United States, a country that does not even participate in this song contest.

If you don't believe it, judge for yourself.

This is the third time Ukraine has won at Eurovision.
The first "coincided" with the "orange revolution", in 2004;
the second one, in 2016, "coincided" with the return of Crimea to the Russian Federation and
the third "coincides" now with the Russian military intervention in Ukraine.

This year, NATO preferred not to have a "text" song win in order to avoid a controversy like the one in 2016, when the song 1944, whose lyrics referred to the deportation of Crimean Tatars, in Stalin's time, was given as the winner. Many viewers then denounced the involvement of Tatar tribes alongside the Nazis during World War II, highlighting above all the actions of members of the Crimean Tatar SS Legion and the SS Idel-Ural Legion.

Upon learning the result of the contest, the singer of the winning Ukrainian group belted out "Glory to Ukraine!", which is the battle cry uttered by the flag-wavers as they murdered 1.6 million Ukrainians under Nazi occupation, during World War II.

The documents we include at the end of this information were declassified on January 16, 2015, in accordance with U.S. law, and bear the signature of the American Geoffrey Parsons Jr, head of NATO's communication service and spokesman for the Atlantic alliance.

Breaking with tradition, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg interrupted a meeting in Berlin to hail the victory of Ukraine's Eurovision representatives.

Now, the documents alluded to in the article above are here(from 1956) and here (from 1955). They are short declassified NATO documents apparently and they show the interest and the pragmatism with which propaganda is discussed, and the purpose is exactly what Eurovision does in the EU, provide a non-news segment that validates the sentiments that the official narrative claims are felt by everyone. i.e. The news agree with the government about Ukraine, and people do too, it's clearly visible in Eurovision.

It's like adding a bit of salt to their reality recipe.

I personally didnt watch the show but my colleagues did. They asked me who I think won and I guessed Ukraine and they said yes. I think "We shall know them by the fruits of their actions..." if the saying fits the context in anyway.

The Eurovision jury has voted politocally for at least 40 plus years to my knowledge, rarely was it based on talent. Often it was just to slight one country (usually the UK), or to favour another (often Isreal), whatever was the flavour of the month.

This program is as old as Methuselah. It is incredible that
it still exists and that generation after generation people look at it. Most of the songs are horrible. And the winner is always so proud to win. It's like a soccer game.

Since my childhood this program exists. I remember the year Spain won, around 1968 with a bad singer, Massiel. Of course, the adults were proud that Spain got the first prize. Now we know that everything is wrong, including the winners and that it is just a political junk, but more, propaganda.

Yeah and the cheating over the years is official thanks to US declassified documents. Voltaire Network wrote an article about it.

The Pentagon organizes Ukraine’s victory at Eurovision 2022

This medieval symbol became the emblem of Ukraine only in 1917-18 at the initiative of the historian Mykhailo Hrushevsky. It was adopted as the country’s coat of arms in 1996. There are two ways to draw its base. The color variations are also significant. The one of the attendant is not the official version, but the one of the Banderites.

The festival of Eurovision 2022 was held in Turin (Italy). It is organized by an association, the European Broadcasting Union, bringing together the public service televisions of the European continent before 200 million viewers.
At the initiative of the French Delphine Ernotte (president of the association and France-Télévision), Russia, although part of the 56 member countries of the association, had been excluded from the competition for political reasons. Only 25 participated, 15 others were eliminated in the semi-finals.

Only the naive think that this competition is fair play. It is above all a propaganda tool. Nato, which conceived it in 1955 (see document below), has always pulled the strings. The United States, which does not participate in Eurovision, is still the real arbiter. This is the third victory for Ukraine. After that of 2004 ("Orange Revolution"), that of 2016 (attachment of Crimea to the Russian Federation) came that of 2022 (Russian-Ukrainian war).

The Nato gave up the triumph of a text song because of the problems that followed the victory of the song 1944, in 2016; a song about the deportation of Crimean Tatars by Joseph Stalin. Some viewers had uncovered the involvement of Tatar tribes during World War II with the Nazis (including fighters from the Crimean Tatar SS Legion and the Idel-Ural SS Legion).

When he got the title 2022, the band’s singer exclaimed "Glory to Ukraine!", the battle cry of the Banderites with which they murdered 1.6 million of their fellow citizens during World War II.

The following documents were declassified on January 16, 2015, in accordance with U.S. law. They are signed by Geoffrey Parsons Jr., Nato’s chief of communications and spokesman for the Atlantic Alliance.

Breaking with tradition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Ukraine’s Eurovision victory at a meeting in Berlin.

The best thing ever to come out of the Eurovision song contest and subsequently launched their very successful career were the winners in 1974 - Ladies and Gentlemen -ABBA! (From Sweden).

They won the competition with a song (oddly enough referencing an attempted take over Europe by a dictatorship) entitled Waterloo.

OK, camp it up -

The good old days are far gone, as old as I am. Remember when France won the Eurovision contest. ;-)

This is the only thing I knew about Eurovision until last Saturday.
I never watched it but knew how proud our parents were of Marie Myriam and, I thought it was still like this today.
We came to watch the end of it by accident and, my God, what happened ?
This was just awful ! I thought I was watching science-fiction. The music, outfits, lighting effects etc... Everything was scary !
Nothing like the old days indeed !

For the anecdote, Marie Myriam parents had a restaurant, only some streets away where I live. In one video Marie Myriam explained that she trained in the basement of this restaurant. So I think of her when I pass by the house. :-)
