"The shooting is no surprise considering Democrat city leadership has failed to enforce law and order. The out-of-control crime is so bad that notable trading desks in the Inner Harbor area have told us they're actively seeking to relocate because of violent crime."

More details about the Philadelphia shooting from the Daily Mail:

Turns out the shooter was Kimbrady Carriker - a crossdresser and BLM supporter, at least according to his Facebook posts

Seems he just walked through the streets indiscriminately firing at crowds.

Police pursued him for 10mins before cornering and arresting him in an alley. He had tried to use a police scanner to aid his escape.

He killed 5 and injured 2.

The killer has now been revealed to be a computer nerd who was obsessed by firearms - even posting video a few days ago of children at a gun range.

Facebook posts from March 2022 show Carriker dressed as a woman, wearing a bra, hooped earrings and gold bracelets.

He had posted eerie articles to Facebook titled: 'How do you know if an evil spirit is following you,' as well as a photo of a map listing historic 'black massacres' throughout the US with the caption stating: 'We kept the receipts.'

He had also shared images of items of clothing with phrases like ‘the first amendment defines us, the second amendment defends us’ on them.

Another hooded sweatshirt includes branding that says: ‘I lubricate my AR-15 liberal tears.’
One other design includes the eerie phrase: ‘Know this we are many they are few. To fear death is a choice and they can’t hang us all.’

Besides this, Carriker had also shared images showing support for former President Donald Trump and promoting being Vegan in another.

At least five people were killed and two others, both minors, were injured by gunfire when a man wearing body armor opened fire in a Philadelphia neighborhood Monday, police said.

The injured were described as boys ages 2 and 13, who were stable at a hospital, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle M. Outlaw said at a news conference. They suffered gunshot wounds to their legs, police said.

Two men were taken into custody, police said Tuesday. Earlier, authorities said that they believe they had the gunman in custody. The other man may have picked up a firearm and returned fire, police said at a news conference.

A police spokesperson said no formal charges have been filed.

The suspected shooter is described as a 40-year-old man who had a semi-automatic rifle, a handgun, a ballistic vest and a police scanner.

He also had multiple magazines of ammunition, Outlaw said. She described the rifle as being in the style of the AR-15, a weapon initially developed for military use.

A motive was under investigation.

All of those shot were male. Police identified the deceased victims Tuesday as Lashyd Merritt, 20; Dymir Stanton, 29; Ralph Moralis, 59; Daujan Brown, 15; and Joseph Wamah, Jr., 31. They had all been shot multiple times.

Two other people, a 33-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy, were injured by shattered glass.

Officers responding to the attack at 8:29 p.m. heard shots and gave chase, and the suspect continued firing, Outlaw said.

“He was actively shooting a firearm at the time,” she said.

He finally stopped when he was cornered in an alley, and he surrendered without incident, Outlaw said. She commended the first officers at the scene.

“I can’t even describe the level of bravery and courage that was shown,” she said.

When the shooting ceased, police found about 50 spent shell casings, Outlaw said. Multiple vehicles had been struck by gunfire.

Police believe that all of those shot were either on the street or in vehicles when they were struck, Outlaw said.

“At this point, we don’t see a connection to any of the victims and the shooter,” she said. She said police were investigating what happened and why.

The first five months of 2023 have reached a historical record with 8,122 wrongful homicides in the country.
Mexico City / 06.07.2023 01:05:00 Rafael Lopez Mendez
During the first five months of the year, 8,122 culpable homicides have been registered in the country , a figure that represents the historical maximum for a similar period, since they exceed 7,893 cases documented by the Public Ministries in the same period of 2022, from According to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP).

On a national scale, this type of homicide has registered an upward trend , starting in 2018 when the Public Prosecutors of the 32 entities recorded 7,410 fatalities; The only period in which there was a reduction was 2020 due to mobility restrictions caused by the covid-19 health emergency .

The increase in culpable homicides could be due, to a large extent, to the fact that there is an alteration in the figures for murders linked to organized crime in entities that face severe security problems such as Guanajuato or Jalisco .
“We have corroborated it in at least three entities: Mexico City during the government of Miguel Ángel Mancera and recently Guanajuato and Jalisco. It is a strategy of making up figures that state prosecutors operate, which are the ones that feed the metrics of the National Public Security System and that pass off intentional homicides as if they were guilty. An execution is made to pass as a traffic accident”, explained the specialist in security issues, David Saucedo.
Among the entities that concentrate more cases of accidental homicides , the case of Guanajuato stands out , where 881 people have died due to fortuitous causes in the first five months of the year and ranks as the state with the most cases.

It should be remembered that this same entity also leads the list of murders related to organized crime , with 1,380 fatalities so far in 2023.

In only two years, culpable homicides grew 30.5 percent in the entity, since in 2021 there were 675 crimes of this type without the intention of attacking and by 2022 the figure stood at 776 cases .

A particular situation that occurs in Guanajuato , and that allows to reduce the number of violent or accidental deaths, is that the prosecutor's office has decided not to add the bodies found in the clandestine graves, to the records that are presented each month to the authorities. of the federal government.
“Missing people are not missing, they are dead. So those numbers are being added to the final metric, but not in all states; For example, Guanajuato does not add the people who are in the drug pits in its homicide metrics, but Tamaulipas does," said Saucedo.

Another entity that presents high rates of culpable homicides, and that was pointed out by David Saucedo for altering the metrics, is Jalisco . In that entity, 542 unintentional homicides have been recorded, which represents the highest number in the last nine years, according to SESNSP reports.

From 2018 to 2023, the number of culpable homicides in the entity grew 29.3 percent, if the period from January to May of each year is taken into account. In 2021, 440 homicides of this type were committed , but so far in 2023 the figure is already higher by 102 cases.

The fact that two violent entities such as Jalisco and Guanajuato are accused of altering figures represents a national problem when reporting crime incidence figures , since there are five states in the country that have the highest number of homicides , it is enough that in three of them this make-up of figures is operated so that the overall figure for the entire country decreases.

This has been going on for a year and a half with the aim of making governors appear effective in combating violence and insecurity; And the president does not say anything about this because he helps his national metric of him, Salcedo maintains.
