Is it still possible to share youtube videos on the forum?

Every time I try to post or view a youtube video I get the following message: 'This video is not available'.

No, I noticed also. Right click and copy the URL link still works.

I went to the "What are you listening to?" thread and most of the YT linked videos are now "unavailable". Strange. 🤨

Yesterday, I checked much older posts...ALL YT videos are not working. In other words using the best technical jargon I can muster, the thingamabob that embeds the videos is busted. 😊

Yup, it seems like there's a problem on YT's end. The forum is not broken. YT is responding with an error instead of a video.

YT embeds still work on SOTT, so maybe YT is blocking/broken for only some sites?

@Scottie I just checked another forum which uses the same as us. YT videos are working on it.

Maybe we have been blacklisted ? Otherwise, there could be a limit to embedded vids which we have unwittingly broken ? Just guessing.

I think there are some problems with link generated by the forum engine. When I've tried to embed some video, it seems that the generated link has incomplete query parameter (the last one):

https://youtube.com/embed/xxx?wmode=opaque&start=0&list=

This link was generated by the forum, this one was fixed by removing said empty/malformed query parameter.
