I think you and Alejo are referring to these talks planned on Tuesday Dec 20th:

Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu, his Iranian counterpart Hossein Dehqan and Turkey's Fikri Isik are due to gather in Moscow on Tuesday, coinciding with the meeting of the nations' respective Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Mevlut Cavusoglu, reports Efe.

A statement released by the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs said the discussions would focus on finding a solution to the conflict in Syria, while aiming to contribute to the resolutions made by the UN Security Council. The Ministers are expected to discuss the next stage in the Battle of Aleppo once the last remaining opposition neighbourhood is cleared.

While the ongoing evacuation process was brokered by the three regional powers, the Syrian civil war has provoked conflicting policies from the nations. Both Russia and Iran have maintained firm support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by providing military support and counsel, while Turkey employs members of the opposition Free Syrian Army in an attempt to create a buffer zone in Syria's north.

Altintas [the gunman] is reportedly an ex-police officer and reports suggested he allegedly committed the attack in the name of Syria, Turkey’s civil war-torn neighbor caught between the U.S., Russia and ISIS.

However, Reuters was also reporting that Ankara’s mayor believes Altintas motives had more to do with his following of Turkish preacher and former imam Muhammet Fethullah Gulen and not Syria.

Gulen, who Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan blamed for the attempted coup in his country this summer, has lived in exile for the last 17 years in the U.S. The Turkish government has said he and his followers are terrorists.

In a recent interview with “60 Minutes,” Erdogan said he wants Gulen to be sent back to Turkey.

Alexey Pushkov, the former head of the foreign affairs committee of the Russian State Duma, or lower house of parliament, has claimed the killing was a direct result of media "hysteria" concerning Aleppo, purveyed by "enemies" of Moscow. Vladimir Zhirinovsky, a far-right Russian nationalist parliamentarian, claimed that the West orchestrated the shooting to prevent Turkish-Russian rapprochement following close to a year of a breach, which has gradually narrowed in recent months.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova issued a statement: "Terrorism will not pass! We will fight it resolutely. Memory of this outstanding Russian diplomat, a man who did so much to counter terrorism in his diplomatic line of work, Andrei Gennadyevich Karlov, will remain in our hearts forever."

Meanwhile, pro-government journalists in Turkey are beginning to suggest that the assassin was affiliated with Islamist movement of exiled cleric Fethullah Gülen, who is widely blamed in the country for orchestrating last July's abortive coup. (He lives in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and Turkey is seeking his extradition from the United States.)

Tens of thousands of Turkish officials and public employees have been arrested in a sweeping national dragnet following failed putsch, although Altintas does not appear to have been one of them.

Same psychos behind the shooting down of the russian fighter are behind this one too :mad: I hope Erdogan and Putin uncover them publically, because killing an ambassador in any country, is like attacking the country itself.

There's also reports of gunfire heard near US embassy in Ankara a while ago.

Immediatelly after the shooting the assassin uttered some Arabic sentences including one containing the word "jihad", most probably a recitation of a popular slogan from the history of Islam: "We are people who have obeyed Muhammad and promised him for life-long jihad". I don't think that he can speak Arabic at all. Then came the message in Turkish, his mother tongue. "Don't forget about Syria, Aleppo..." etc.

Some government members claimed the assassin has ties with the terrorist organization al-Nusra. But if this is true, then it means they have no problem about keeping policemen having ties with terrorist organizations. It is no secret that the Government helped al-Nusra a lot and has been extremely unwilling to see it as a terrorist organization.

But yes, I believe that it was not the Turkish government behind the attack, but those who hate the Government's gradually switching from the US to Russian affiliation.

The footage has shocked me deeply. I'm extremely sorry for the ambassador Karlov, his family and his beloved ones. I wish him the best guidance to the spirit home, and patience and fortitude for his family and friends.

Russian rulers know very well what is going on. I hope that the Turkish government and majority of Turkish people will get a great lesson and be more determined towards closer alliance with Russia and act accordingly.

Also let me remind the Istanbul Airport bombing (killed 45 people) on 28 June this year just 2-3 days after Erdogan apologized Putin for shooting down the Russian jet and the relations started to normalize.

Assassination of Russian ambassador in Ankara, truck ploughs into Berlin's market, now this:

"The Schaerbeek area of Brussels was reportedly on lockdown for a period this evening as police carried out a security operation. (...)

A number of streets had been sealed off and people were escorted back to their homes by police, according to RTL Info. These streets have now been reopened after police lifted a large security perimeter just before 8 pm.

Five tram lines halted services for some time at the order of police. All have now resumed operations, according to Brussels transport operator STIB - MIVB.(...)

It’s been speculated that the operation is related to a terrorism investigation. Political journalist Thomas Gadisseux tweeted that significant resources have been deployed as part of an anti-terrorist operation which has been ongoing since the start of the day." End quote from RT

So today we just witnessed a terrorist attack involving a diplomat (i.e. government) in Turkey and a truck ploughing through a crowd in Berlin, while back in July there was an attempted coup of the Turkish government and just 1 day prior to that a supposed terrorist ploughing through a crowd along the coast in Nice.

It does not look like mere coincidence to me.
