Television Satelites

Has anyone noticed lots of service interuption on the digital television service? Most of the interption is that the channels break up, or they freeze for minutes at a time, or they just go off the air. Its been getting worse.

Its interesting also that we have been seeing colored meteors here in Oregon.
Mom saw a large orange one and I saw one that was a neon blue. Moms did not have a tail but mine did. It was not one of the small ones you see way up there. These seemed much closer. Of course it may have looked closer than it was.
I've never seen colored one's. Does anyone know if that is due to the minerals in it?

Hi Tarri,

I am in Beaverton area... where and what area are you seeing the meteors?

Lately, we have been clouded over for awhile so the skys are
not visisble here and has been for awhile. Storms are continuing
and also be aware that due to high winds, power lines are snapping
and this causes power fluctuations on the power grid which might explain
the TV signal breakups. It is not always the TV signal itself as it
can also be due to the TV not getting stable power as I have seen
the same signal breakup and noticed that the TV itself was going down
then up very rapidly. TV's today do not have large storage capacitors
so as to hold the power longer and are much more susceptable to power
fluctuations.

I'm in Albany. Mom saw the orange one in the sky over our apartment, going west towards the coastal hills. I saw mine over were I work, and guessing, I'd say it was going south. Mom was just saying that she thinks it was cloudy the day I saw the blue meteor, so that would possibly make it below the cloud line. Wish I had been paying more attention.

What you said about the TV interruption makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.
