Hi
I am looking into the possibility of conducting a few interviews over the phone and im not sure how to set it up as regards recording them. How is it done? Meaning how is it set up, what equipment does one use so as to be able to hear and record the responses from the person being interviewed.

Do i need one of those phones that has a speaker attached , where you press a button and the persons voice is amplified out of it and one just records it , or is there something i can attach to a basic phone.

Thanks

Hi Rabbit,
As far as I can tell, as long as you’re not using a mobile phone or a wireless phone, you’ll need a tape recorder and an adaptor.
Do a search for a:- Telephone call recording adaptor.
Apparently these plug in between the handset cable and the phone base, and then you plug the 3.5mm audio plug into the microphone input socket of a cassette recorder. Adaptor costs about £9.95
