Putin's birthday

Nikolai Romanov came to Belgrade right on time to see Putin. If this doesn't make EU and USA angry, I don't know what will!

They moved latin page. Here it is:

It is interesting that the TV station B92 (officially owned by former CIA stuff ;) ) spread the news that the stone for the monument's pedestal which came from Russia is radioactive. State agency for ionizing radiations and nuclear safety did tests and the news proved to be a crap :)

Have just read it in today's Russian news (my short translation):
Yesterday there must have been a football game between Serbia and Albania (as part of future Euro 2016 tournament). The Serbs brought a large banner "Honor to Putin" with them:

pic_101b79ec14942b8429beb9d158b1bb04.jpg

At the 41th minute, some fans started throwing petards at the field. Then there appeared a drone with Albanian flag. The Serbian frontman torn off the flag and then the fight began between the players. The game was stopped.

It is suspected that the provocation in V.I.P. zone was done by Ofri Rama - the brother of the Albanian PM, Edi Rama. He was arrested. According to the Serbian police, the drone with Albanian flag was navigated by him.

Rama was sent to Albania, where it turned out that he is a US citizen. He has been released already. Here are the videos:

And this is just a football field - one can imagine what battles will start on political field when Putin actually arrives in Serbia (tomorrow, right?).

Yes, he comes tomorrow. I don't know if this is connected to his arrival, but it is possible.

Hehe. Yes, many people like Putin here.

At the 41th minute, some fans started throwing petards at the field. Then there appeared a drone with Albanian flag.

The fans started throwing petards and flares when they saw a flag flying. You can see our player showing the referee that there is a flag above the pitch. Referee then stopped the match so that the flag with the drone can be removed.

The Serbian frontman torn off the flag and then the fight began between the players.

You can see here exactly how it happened:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDs5mwNRY7U

Now, the flag itself did made the fans angry because it was a map of Greater Albania, not just present Albania (which included Albania, Kosovo, Southern Serbia, and parts of Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece), but what really pissed them off was the action of Albanian players who ran to Serbian players to take the flag from them because, as they latter told to the Albanian press, "they couldn't let Serbs touch their flag"!

As you can see, the Serbian players weren't doing anything bad to the flag, they were just taking it down, along with the attached drone.

And then the fans jump in to take the flag from Albanian players. And that's how the fight started.

I do not understand the language, so could not follow the commentary. However it was plain to see that the actual players were quite upset by the disruption.
I am not sure what the civilians were doing on the field apart from interrupting the game.
Is this sport where you come from?
Where I am, we (generally) hurl abuse at the referee and let the game continue. Cans & stuff not generally favored. Too full of good things.

They were chasing the flag.

Yep.

Yeah, well we generally do that too, but this game was a little bit sensitive because it was connected with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosovo_War

I was watching online the Victory Parade in Belgrade today - it was great, the people were so excited and inspired. Go Serbia!

It's curious that the Parade was arced with a rainbow:

It wasn't anything spectacular like Russian parades, but it was nice. And Russian pilots also helped. :)

I was just about to comment on that. There was a little bit of rain at the parade, but that gave us that beautiful rainbow that you can also see on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCUfqyEB_Kc
Maybe it's something symbolic? :)

People in the audience were cheering "Putin", and there were of course transparents like "Thank you Putin" and "Glory to Putin". :)

Maybe this football game incident was a warning to Belgrade. West isn't looking very happy about this display of sympathies btw Russia and Serbia, furthermore they've already notched Serbia as "theirs' (assimilated in EU)... some resemblances of Ukrainian situation - before war... those fiendish PTB

Yes, quite possibly. We will see next week what UEFA will say.

A lot of Putin fans at the parade: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeSXGRadhO0

They were chanting: "Serbia! Russia! We don't need (European) Union!"

:)

I don't believe that, I mean the incident was so silly. But I do believe that was one of the reasons that Putin's security was so tight this time.

Also thanks to the one Mig29 from Russian aerobatics team who entertain people for almost an hour before the parade since Putin and delegation was almost one hour late because of talks.

I also heard that when exciting the Belgrade's liberators cemetery there was small group of Partisan veterans who wanted to see Putin and shake hands. Apparently security didn't let them, but Putin approached them and did talk to them and take pictures (which was nice of course :) ) That wasn't on the protocol so no official cameras filmed that. (so I heard :) )

Wow! I had a dream couple days ago that Putin and I were going out on a drink :). Now I know why, we were celebrating our birthdays (mine was few days earlier).Cool

He then was very late for his meeting with Angela Merkel in Milan, because he stayed in Serbia longer than initially planned. First the media announced that the meeting was canceled, but then they finally met late at night - at 11:15 p.m. local time. I can imagine their faces in Milan: everyone except Putin came on time, because they weren't invited to the Parade. :P

And yes, the Moscow pilot team was great, here is one photo from Belgrade - they make impossible things, indeed:

Therfore, I shall never forget because I share the same day and year.

Happy birthday brother from another mother!
