Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

So, it's up to Ukraine to make the decision, but the 'US-led alliance' is telling Ukraine what decision to make, but can't say it themselves because Ukraine is a sovereign and independent country and that would be wrong. ...oooookaaaayyyyyy. :headbash:

Ukraine to decide how much territory it trades for peace – NATO

Alliance chief Jens Stoltenberg said that peace comes at a price, but insisted it’s up to Ukraine

June 12, 2022

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Sunday that the US-led alliance aims to strengthen Ukraine’s position at the negotiating table, but added that any peace deal would involve compromises, including of territory.

Stoltenberg spoke at the Kultaranta Talks in Finland, following a meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto. While the NATO chief said that the West was willing to “pay a price” to strengthen the Ukrainian military, Kiev will have to make some territorial concessions to Moscow in order to end the current conflict.

“Peace is possible,” he said. “The only question is what price are you willing to pay for peace? How much territory, how much independence, how much sovereignty…are you willing to sacrifice for peace?”

Stoltenberg did not suggest what terms Ukraine should accept, saying that “it’s for those who are paying the highest price to make that judgment,” while NATO and the West continue supplying arms to the Ukrainians to “strengthen their hand” when a settlement is eventually negotiated.

The secretary general did not directly endorse the ceding of Ukrainian territory, but he did bring up the example of Finland, which gave up Karelia to the Soviet Union as part of a peace deal during the Second World War. Stoltenberg described the Finnish-Soviet settlement as “one of the reasons Finland was able to come out of the Second World War as an independent sovereign nation.”

Stoltenberg’s statement comes amid growing sentiment that Ukraine may soon be pressed into a peace deal by its Western backers. While US and British officials publicly insist that Ukraine “can win” its war with Russia, a recent CNN report suggests that officials in Washington, London and Brussels are meeting without their Ukrainian counterparts in an effort to plan a ceasefire and peace settlement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also claimed that unnamed foreign parties have been trying to “push us a little” toward a deal, as the public in countries backing Ukraine grows “war weary.”

French President Emmanuel Macron has publicly denied urging Zelensky to give up some territory in exchange for an end to hostilities, as former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger suggested last month he should do.

Kissinger proposed in May that Ukraine accept a return to the “status quo ante,” meaning it would relinquish its territorial claims to Crimea and grant autonomy to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Crimea has been a part of Russia since 2014, while Moscow recognized the independence of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics several days before its military operation began in February.

Zelensky has shifted positions several times on a potential peace deal, with the president periodically expressing interest in negotiating a settlement with Russia, only for his officials, the US State Department, or Zelensky himself, to express the opposite sentiment shortly afterwards. After announcing his willingness to enter negotiations late last month, Zelensky came out several days later and told his citizens that “there will be no alternative to our Ukrainian flags” flying over the Donbass republics.

“We understand that it is very difficult for Ukraine after all this fighting to give up their land,” Niinisto said during the discussion with Stoltenberg on Sunday. “But seeing that Russia would lose all its holdings is not at this point foreseeable. Gaining peace is absolutely difficult.”

On June 13, Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, said that the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of populated areas in the DPR had become more frequent, in connection with which he noted the need to increase the military contingent of the Russian Federation and the DPR. He claimed that “An understanding has been reached that all the necessary additional forces of the allied forces, primarily the Russian Federation, will be involved”. The head of the republic also noted that Ukrainian soldiers violate the rules of combat and use prohibited methods of warfare.
June 13 marked one of the heaviest attacks of the AFU on civilians in the city and nearby settlements. At least three more civilians died on the spot, including a 11 years-old-boy and his mother. The shelling was carried out throughout the day and it continues.

In his video message, Denis Pushilin states the following: “The enemy has crossed all lines. Forbidden methods of warfare are being used, sleeping areas and central districts of the city of Donetsk are being shelled, and other cities and settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic are also under fire right now. In this regard, there is an understanding that all necessary additional forces of allied forces, primarily in the Russian Federation, will be engaged.
I would also like to note that over the past 24 hours we have destroyed and suppressed about 30 enemy firing points, and also destroyed the enemy command post near the settlement of Myrmryk.
Of course, even taking this into account, the enemy still has enough weapons to attack our settlements. In this connection, the heads of ministries and departments have been recommended and instructed to employ a minimum number of people at their workplaces. It is necessary to transfer the main working personnel to remote work. Such a recommendation was also given to private enterprises. In the coming days, I still recommend all citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic to stay in safe places as much as possible and not to leave children unattended. The authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic are taking exhaustive measures to ensure the full safety of the citizens of the republic in the shortest possible time”.
It is not yet known what scale of additional military contingent he is talking about. At the same time the demand is clear, the DPR forces need to be reinforced by additional Russian troops. This could affect the consolidation of the territories of the republic by the DPR and Russian forces. Thus, the transfer of additional Russian forces or even a partial mobilization in Russia can be expected.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shared a new video showing the use of the French-made CAESAR self-propelled howitzer on the front lines in the Donbass region.
French self-propelled artillery units 155-mm CAESAR have already been in service with the AFU since April. The transfer of the CAESARs from France was claimed on April 22, 2022. Then the French president Emmanuel Macron said in an interview that he supplied Ukraine with a variety of weapons “from Milan to CAESAR,” adding that Paris plans to continue supplying Kiev with weapons. The French media suggested that a division of self-propelled guns in the amount of 12 units was delivered to Ukraine. Previously, the Ukrainian military were trained in France on the use of CAESARs.
In June, France2 French TV channel reported that Paris has already transferred 18 CAESAR self-propelled artillery mounts from the storage bases of the French army to Kiev.

Earlier, in June, the Ukrainian Radio Liberty agency dedicated one of its reports to the use of the French CAESAR howitzers by the AFU in the Donbass. According to the analysis of the footage, it was made near the village of Novopokrovka to the northwest of Avdiivka. French-made howitzers deployed in the Avdiivka area are used for shelling on civilians in the city of Donetsk and settlements nearby.

One of the AFU attacks with CAESARs was recorded on June 12 in the center of Donetsk. The DPR representative in the JCCCP confirmed that the strikes were made by the French self-propelled howitzer CAESAR with a caliber of 155 mm. The attack was ordered by Ukrainian Colonel Roman Vladimirovich Kachur, commander of the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of shelling in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk an elderly woman born in 1938 was injured.

Amid constant shelling of peaceful civilians by Ukrainian formations, it was reported that France intends to supply Kiev with contactless fuses for CAESAR self-propelled artillery shells.
Moreover, according to the Ukrainian documents leaked online, the 155-mm OGR F1 projectile are used with CAESAR in the Donbass.

The OGR F1 is a 155 mm cluster munition. The concept of such weapons implies the rupture of the main warhead in the air with the release of dozens of smaller submunitions capable of covering a vast territory. The bomb explodes into 63 small elements.
Due to the extremely high probability of harming civilians, cluster shells were banned by the UN Oslo Convention, developed and approved by 46 states, including France, in 2010.
In 2016, the French National Commission for the Elimination of Anti-Personnel Mines reported on the elimination of all M26 and OGR F1 ammunition.
However, judging by the reportedly leaked documents, Paris not only did not destroy the prohibited type of weapons, but also handed it over to Ukrainian servicemen who continue using them against the civilian population in the Donbass.

Scott Ritter jumps in a few days ago with the below. He is talking to Judge Napolitano. He said to this Judge concerning denazification - if you had asked me two days ago my answer would be different, yesterday (now a few day ago), Lavrov made a distinction not said before, denazification of [E]astern Ukraine.

The money issues came up, the massive funding by the US (and others in a much lesser degree) 50 something billion, and Scott was extremely angry, and rightly so, at all this; arms, stinger missiles, money, being syphoned off into the corrupt state, the black market of markets, to be used by Nazi's willy-nilly outside the theater of war on whoever and whatever they choose. He shakes his head at Americans (or whatever other state - Canada for instance) whose leaders are bilking taxpays to fund Nazi's who our fathers fought on the beaches and on the fields of battle (and Russia ten fold). Who would not be angry, and yet people are blindly cheering, cheering Nazi's.

Of course, Zelenskyy is so far out of his league, and he knows it and can't get out - the puppet on a string.

Scott talked of foreign into Ukraine Howitzers coming in from outside after training in France and Germany - being feed GPS cords from outsiders, and there is not much one can do as they are effective. The Russians are more so, but still there is death and destruction on all sides.

Ritter reminds Napolitano that with Russia, they are strategic in not destroying citizens and infrastructure, they come in immediately after and start to rebuild, unlike the usual suspects have done in history.

That caught my attention too when Lavrov said it. Up until that point everyone assumed that Putin meant the whole of Ukraine with "Denazification", which might still be what the plan is, or not.

Yesterday there was a shelling of Donetsk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This attack was the largest in all 8 years, more than 700 rounds of ammunition arrived. Accordingly, there are victims, 5 dead, several dozen injured. In itself, this event is unprecedented, but still the shelling of cities and towns in the LDPR has been happening for all 8 years, which was the main reason for the start of a special military operation by Russia. I decided to write not exactly about this. The reason for writing this message was for me a blatant fake on the part of German TV. Now on the Russian 1 TV channel, a fragment of the news release of the German TV channel "Das Erste" was shown in the news release. Footage of the burning Donetsk market after yesterday's strike is shown. Behind the scenes, a female voice says that Donetsk has been shelled (not some other locality), the number of victims is reported (the wrong number, by the way), while it is reported that the shelling is Russian. Who is it designed for? Or in that media space, no one is following the meaning at all?

Now I will give a message from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. From now on, I promise not to be surprised if Das Erste or someone else from ARD reports that the bloody Russians shoot the poor Ukrainians who surrendered.

The Ministry of Defense reported the shooting by nationalists of 32 Ukrainian soldiers who decided to surrender

MOSCOW, June 14. /tass/. The Ukrainian nationalist detachments opened crossfire on the servicemen of the 54th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who decided to surrender, as a result, 32 Ukrainian servicemen were fatally wounded and killed. This was announced on Tuesday by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

According to him, after the firing preparation of the offensive of Russian troops in the area of the settlement of Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk People's Republic, more than 30 servicemen of the 25th battalion of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to lay down their arms and surrender.

"At about 22 hours, the AFU servicemen with white flags began advancing towards the Russian positions. At that moment, a unit of the Ukrainian nationalist detachment that arrived at the stronghold on armored vehicles opened crossfire in the back at the servicemen of the 54th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. <...> As a result of this shooting, 32 Ukrainian servicemen were fatally wounded and killed," Konashenkov said.

According to him, the Ukrainian military, who wished to lay down their arms, occupying a strong point in the area of the animal farm, contacted the command of the Russian unit by radio, asked to cease fire and provide a corridor for exit.

"This incident, like many others like it, clearly shows that against the background of increasing military failures and demoralization of Ukrainian troops, the Kiev nationalist regime is trying to stop the retreat and surrender of its units by punitive actions of detachments," the general stressed.

He noted that the lives of Ukrainian servicemen and mobilized fighters of territorial defense units mean nothing to the current leadership of Ukraine. The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stressed that during the special military operation, the Ukrainian army continues to suffer significant losses. "I would like to emphasize that in recent weeks, incidents involving the shooting of Ukrainian servicemen in the back by nationalist units have become more frequent in combat areas," he said.

A few videos about yesterday's shelling of Donetsk

You will be surprised, but for 8 years of fighting in Donetsk, I cannot recall such activity of the Ukrainian artillery in the city center. There was all sorts of tin, there was fierce trash, but I can't remember this. I'm writing this while squatting in the hallway over a laptop. A little anxious, there is a pregnant wife and child nearby. I am writing, the phone is on the windowsill taking pictures, and there is one question in my head: what is there with the decision-making centers?

Donetsk: a direct hit to the maternity hospital. Courageous and cheerful Donetsk women are waiting out the shelling of their maternity hospital in the shelter of the hospital.Vishnevsky. There is nothing and no one in this building that would be related to the war. Only peaceful women and children.voenhronika.ru - Военная хроника

The correspondent of Readovka Kirill Imashev hoped for a lull and decided to record a stand-up. Born again. Right now Donetsk is under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces — the Ukrainian military fired more than a hundred rockets and shells at the city center in just one hour. As soon as it became quieter, our military commander Kirill Imashev came out of the entrance to record a stand—up on the street - but a couple of minutes later he came directly under another shelling. Kirill's indescribable emotions are right on the video.

I took the video above from here. There are a lot of fresh videos from a Special Military Operation

As of June 13, the fierce battle for the city of Severodonetsk continues. The recent days were marked by several incidents which confirmed the deplorable situation for the Armed Forces Of Ukraine in the city.
The AFU confirmed the loss of control over the center of Severodonetsk
Advisor to the Minister Yuri Sak in an interview with Deutsche Welle said that the situation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonetsk is very difficult, but events are developing more intensively. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed that Russian forces have significant advantage in firepower and compared the situation in the city to the blockade of Ukrainian forces in the Azovplant in Mariupol.
The AFU are still hiding in the industrial zone and the Azot plant, as well as the railway network adjacent to it. The size of the industrial zone of Severodonetsk is about 6 km2. In the zest it is located near fields and forests which lead to the Seversky Donets River. The defense of the industrial zone is held by the units of the 4th special purpose brigade of the National Guard, the 115th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 118 brigade of territorial defense and a few detachments of the mercenary groups.

On June 12, the commander of the AFU in the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk metropolitan area, Major General Nikolyuk, reportedly gave the order to blow up the Proletarian Bridge across the Seversky Donets in order to prevent the units defending the industrial zone of Severodonetsk from leaving the area. In turn, the Ukrainian military blamed Russian forces for destruction of the bridge.
As a result, Ukrainian servicemen were blockaded, and could only leave the area by swimming across the river or surrender to the advancing Russian forces.

” Severodonetsk is actually blocked after Ukrainians blew up the last bridge that connected them to Lisichansk on Sunday”, the Deputy head of the Department of the People ‘s Militia of the DPR Basurin said. According to him, the Ukrainian military remaining there have a choice – to surrender or die, there is no other option.
The footage from the area confirmed that the building of the scientific and production enterprise “Impulse” in Severodonetsk was destroyed as a result of the clashes. Impulse was the only plant in Ukraine that produced components for nuclear power plants.

On June 11, the LPR Ambassador to the Russian Federation Rodion Miroshnik claimed that the number of Ukrainian military personnel at the enterprise reaches 300-400 servicemen. In addition, there may be about 500 civilians at the plant.
The blocked Ukrainian militants reportedly demanded to release them to Lisichansk with hostages. Miroshnik noted that negotiations were underway on the safe evacuation of civilians.
On the next day, on June 12, some civilians left the area of the Azot plant to the Russian military. They came out through the second checkpoint of the chemical plant. The fact confirmed that the area of the checkpoint is not controlled by Ukrainian militants. The number of evacuated civilians was not revealed. It is reported that some of the hostages remain in the industrial area.

The AFU continue shelling of the residential areas taken under Russian control. The satellite imagery of the city confirmed that large fires broke out in the city and nearby areas.
The fire is carried out by Ukrainian artillery in the industrial zone as well as from Ukrainian positions in the city of Lisichansk.

At the same time, artillery duels reached the city of Lisichansk. As a result, civilians who were not evacuated from the city suffer.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military is reinforcing their forces in the city. Another group of 80 fighters reportedly arrived there the day before to strengthen the Ukrainian defences. However, this seems not enough to stop the Russian advance.
The official of the US Department of Defence reportedly claimed to the Washington Post that the Russian army is guaranteed to take full control of the entire territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic within a few weeks. The Severodonetsk-Lisichansk metropolitan area is the last stronghold of the AFU in the Republic.

In an attempt to arouse more sympathy from its Western partners, the Kiev regime is changing its rhetoric and even begining to recognize the real situation of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield.

On June 12, Vladimir Zelensky signed a law allowing the Ukrainian command to use territorial defense fighters to perform tasks in areas of military operations.

The Territorial Defense is a paramilitary structure created in the wake of Euromaidan. At the beginning of 2022, its brigades included about two million fighters.

The so-called Teroborona units consist of Maidan activists, nationalists and veterans of the war in Donbass. Basically, these are not professional military, but rather civilians who have not received the necessary training. They were mainly used as armed groups serving the interests of local business.

Previously, members of Teroborona were exempted from conscription in case of hostilities in Ukraine. However, after the start of Russia’s military operation, some of them had to take part in hostilities for which they were not ready either morally or technically.

Dozens of Ukrainian units complained about the huge losses and lack of weapons and training, pointing out that they were sent to the front lines illegally.

As a result, Zelensky’s decree legalized sending untrained members of Teroborona to the front as cannon fodder for the professional Russian army. Zelensky’s current decision confirms the huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine has already admitted that Ukraine is losing to Russia in technology and is not capable of conducting offensive actions. He confirmed that the Ukrainian offensive is impossible.

On June 12, one of the main propagandists of the Kiev regime Alexey Arestovich claimed that a significant part of the Ukrainian military could join the Russian army.

According to him, if the West does not help Ukraine, 500 thousand Ukrainians will join the 1.5 million service members of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, after which these forces will allegedly go to war on Europe.

Arestovich confirmed the pro-Russian sentiment among a large part of the population of Ukraine, including among the military.

Zelensky’s complains and threats from Arestovich had no result and the West does not believe in the victory of Ukraine any longer.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claimed that peace in Ukraine is possible only if Kiev makes territorial concessions. In its turn, NATO is helping the Kiev regime to pay the lowest price.

Thus, the hysteria among the leaders of the Ukrainian regime and the recognition of Kiev’s inevitable defeat in the war confirm that the changes in the military tactics of the Russian command are bearing fruit. The orderly grinding down of Ukrainian forces in the small boilers in the Donbas continues.
