Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

There is no hope for nowadays humanity through war, where the end result, at best, would be the creation of another empire on the ruins of the current one, which would still be detrimental to our planet and people's life, IMHO...
May be there is no other way though.
What a crazy world !
I think you are seeing it from a very mundane perspective and without applying issues such as psychopathy... in addition to programming that killing is unacceptable in all situations and perhaps the myth of "unlimited progress" also has something to do with it.

Russia's media regulator has restricted access to the Google News service, accusing it of providing access to "false" information about Russia's offensive in Ukraine, Russian news agencies reported Wednesday.

The decision was taken at the request of the Russian General Prosecutor's Office, according to a statement by the country's media regulator Roskomnadzor cited by the agencies.

Apparently the account of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shared this, (it was already deleted) which is a video of the game Arma lll... it would have been acceptable to swallow it the first day (I myself quite believed one of the videos) for not adding which is completely false and unverified.

Mint Press has an article which goes into some detail as to the massive PR campaign which the West has undertaken. The scope of it points to that for the West this is no ordinary war. It is a war which the West feels it can't loose and thus they throw everything at it. Yet, lose they will. Here is the article Ukraine’s Propaganda War: International PR Firms, DC Lobbyists and CIA Cutouts

And here are a few points from there as seen on Telegram from Intel Slava Z :
🇺🇦🇷🇺 The American right-wing portal Mintpress.com did an impressive homework and described in sufficient detail how the system of strategic Ukrainian propaganda works at the present stage. Traditionally, let's turn to the cards:

1️⃣ The Ukrainian propaganda campaign is exceptionally well prepared. Key “partner media” in different countries of the world (mainly Western Europe and Russian-language media of the left spectrum) receive in real time the necessary and very detailed information on how to cover various events in Ukraine. For example, the blocking of the Zaporozhye and Chernobyl nuclear power plants, calls for the establishment of a NATO no-fly zone over Ukraine, and so on.
2️⃣ Ukraine, with the help of foreign consultants, has built an effective network of foreign peer-agencies that actively contribute to the promotion of properly prepared messages into the information space.
3️⃣ The main operator of the information campaign in support of Ukraine is the London-based PR Network agency (4 Old Park Lane London United Kingdom W1K 1QW, phone +44 0203 137 6605, if anything - call), which acts as an integrator of the chain of boutique PR agencies and is closely related with the British regulator in the field of communications UK Government Communication Service Strategy and Evaluation Council, as well as with the international network of independent peer-agencies ICCO Worldwide (separate greetings, by the way, to Andrey Barannikov, SPN and Elena Fadeeva Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard, longtime partners of ICCO).
4️⃣ The key financial operator of Ukrainian strategic communications (psychological operations, GR, propaganda, interaction with international media) is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
5️⃣ An important element of the Ukrainian information campaign is the site Ukraine.ua, which is headed by a certain Yaroslav Turbil, who, according to the author of the material, is associated with American intelligence;
6️⃣ An important element of strategic communications to a Western audience from Ukraine are memes, in which Nazi symbols are present in abundance (examples are given in the material).
7️⃣ For orientation, foreign media journalists are sent guidelines on the use of the correct terms in communications and the correct angle of coverage of events. Relevant information are updated daily.
8️⃣ NATO is actively using its bot farms to spread propaganda messages through FB. The campaign itself is actively funded by the governments of Great Britain, the Czech Republic, George Soros' Open Society and the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Support is also provided through USAID.
9️⃣ Among the resources used by Ukrainian PR agencies, the author of the article names Meduza, Novaya Gazeta, Dozhd, BBC, Current Time.
🔟 US lobbying firms such as SKDKnickerbocker and Yorktown Solutions, Your Global Strategy are also heavily involved in the campaign. The campaign is also supported by specialists from Edelman, the largest global advertising agency. In total, as noted in the material, about 150 communication and lobbying structures are working on the information campaign. To support this information operation, they dedicate entire teams within their agencies.

Russian Su-34 Bombers Are Now Using Advanced EW System To Jam Ukrainian Air Defenses
Screen grab from a video released by the TASS news agency.
Russian Su-34 fighter bombers have apparently begun to use an advanced electronic warfare (EW) system to jam Ukraine’s remaining air defenses.
On March 24, the TASS news agency released footage showing a formation of Su-34 fighters preparing for a combat mission over Ukrainian. One of the fighters was carrying the advanced EW system, the SAP-14, to provide protection for the formation.

The SAP-14 system primary mission is to jam advanced air defenses during ground attack missions by imitating electronic signatures of various aircraft and generating false targets within enemy sensors.
The EW system, which was developed the Kaluzhsky Scientific Research Radio-Technical Institute (KNIRTI), covers ground-to-air and air-to-air threats in the D and F bands and is deployed in one large, centerline pod.
The system was designed to be installed on a single heavy fighter, like the Su-30 or the Su-34, along with two SAP-518 jamming pods.
The Russian Aerospace Forces have apparently began using the EW system to protect fighter bomber formations supporting the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. The system is likely being used to jam Ukraine’s remaining medium and long-range air-defense systems, like the Buk-M1 and the S-300. These systems managed to shot down a number of warplanes in the early days of the Russian operation.
The Russian military is currently working to neutralize Ukraine’s remaining air defenses. According to the most recent briefing by the Ministry of Defense of Russia, 189 Ukrainian air defense systems have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation in the country.

Where do these ideas come from ?

Vienna, Austria
View attachment 569961648136460282.png
I remember when I came to Vienna for the first time at the top of my things to do was have strudel and viennese coffee. After a bit of walking around allowed me to spot an old fashioned cafe, where I ordered and enjoyed the excellent serves by professional waiters. Next I thought I'd go and see the Palais Schwarzenberg. I walked following the map, when suddenly I saw this huge monument with a Soviet Soldier with a gold shield. I was much more than just surprised, I was confused. I can honestly say that after finding out the details about why it was built, I saw no problem with it being there. Apparently the Austrians think likewise to this day and have no need to demolished it. What Poland is doing (apparently many more such memorial objects were taken down) however is really very stupid. The three partitions and Napoleon's treatment of Poland should have by now convinced the intellectual class that Poland can not count on "help" coming from the West. To do so is to risk suicide, a risk apparently freely accepted today. Ukraine is learning this lesson right now.

Just my two cents: a world split in two is, to me, a mundane thought. shutting down someone's expressions of grief over losses of lives or livlihoods is unecessary. it's simple to understand how woe results from might - you'd literally have to be a psychopath not to.

That's not what I meant. The monopoly position of CIA/Silicon tech giants results in a lack of Free speech alternatives.

The West will remain at the mercy of this, while Russia is in a position to create alternatives. Hence, let the world split into two. In which the Free East leads by example.

Nobody is trying to dehumanize anything.

Accept the fact that without confronting the Empire and seeking its downfall. There will be no hope for humanity.
I basically agree but I think the more empowering and strong stance is to stand for humanity and freedom rather than against the empire. IOW, direct overt confrontation invites suppression whereas standing for one’s rights in an appeal to natural law while rejecting dominance makes a clearer and cleaner statement to the universe.

Standing up against the Empire is taking a stand for humanity. OSIT. But I think that I get what you mean. It's not about hating and fighting your enemy but about creating a better and bright future for potentially everyone.

It is a shame without a doubt, but letting yourself be completely dominated by that type of thinking is unnecessary and goes against the philosophy that we have learned during these years, to name a couple, detachment and understanding that there are only lessons and with that we cannot deny these last to the others who are in their learning points where they must live this in part.

It looks good, as far as it goes and remains to be seen, the rubles thing was a great move at a level that I'm still laughing.

Russia's stock market reopens after month-long closure

Russia's stock market opened for the first time in a month on Thursday as investors took part in a highly restricted trading session.
The benchmark MOEX index gained as much as 10% in early trade in Moscow and ended the day 4.4% higher. Russia's central bank has banned short sales, and foreign investors are not allowed to dump shares, prohibitions that could help support stocks.
Investors were able to trade 33 stocks during the limited session from 9:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Moscow. Blue chip stocks Gazprom, Lukoil, VTB Bank, Sberbank, Rusal and Rosneft were among the equities that traded.

Russian stocks last traded on February 25 after President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine caused shares to plummet. The MOEX index had lost roughly 35% of its value this year, while the RTS index — which is denominated in dollars — had plunged 42%.
In the weeks following the closure, sanctions imposed by the West crushed the ruble and put the country's economy into a tailspin. President Joe Biden is expected to announce additional sanctions during a trip to Europe this week.
Foreign investors were not allowed to sell shares on Thursday under new rules that ban brokers from executing sales on their behalf.
Foreign funds held more than 80% of all shares trading on the Moscow Exchange in the first half of 2021, according to Reuters. The United States and Canada accounted for 54% of the total, with 22% from the United Kingdom and 21% from the rest of Europe.
The Biden administration described the reopening as a "charade."
"Russia has made clear they are going to pour government resources into artificially propping up the shares of companies that are trading," deputy national security adviser Daleep Singh said in a statement. "This is not a real market and not a sustainable model — which only underscores Russia's isolation from the global financial system."
Despite strong, double-digit gains in companies, including energy producers Lukoil, Rosneft and Gazprom, some companies tumbled when the market reopened Thursday. Most notably, Russian airline Aeroflot sank 16.4%. Power and heat holding company Inter RAO fell 7%.

Do you think that the world has never suffered before this moment? The Americans killed MILLIONS of civilians (and millions of children) of the countries they invaded: Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia and many others (let's not forget Korea and Vietnam). How did people live for 8 years in the Donbass under daily shelling of their homes (15,000 dead)? In Russia in the 1990s, hundreds of thousands of people died of hunger and poverty. What do you think about this? How have you been living all these years?

I liked how Putin in February (just before the start of the special operation in Ukraine) said:
“And why do you think that goodness must always be powerless? I do not think so. I think that just good implies the ability to protect oneself. We will proceed from this, ”Putin said, answering the question of a Kommersant journalist whether it is possible and necessary to solve all problems with the help of force and remain on the side of good.
"Not in my backyard", as people say. Some people are euro(American/Western) centric, which makes them feel like things are only bad if things get "close" to them. If millions of children starve in the world somewhere, it's just a statistic that some people get emotional about. If the same thing happens closer to them, or in their own country, "the world is suffering" all of a sudden.
The only thing that has changed is that the proximity of the events has made it more prominent in people's daily awareness.
Recall the famous t-shirt that shows people that endless list of countries that the US has been bombing near you? Things are always going on somewhere, but their specific nature can sometimes make it more "relevant" for our active awareness the same way that an active threat to your well-being makes you focus on it, even when you know that this threat always exists somewhere. I guess it is a question of learning. You can't learn your lessons that are individual to yourself if you are under the constant barrage of all the problems that exist everywhere. But your awareness can shift from one thing to the next, and this is how you can handle them. The only wrong thing in that is to assume that just because it has not turned up in your "queue" yet doesn't negate its general existence in the cosmic scheme of things.

a rejection of dominance, caring about the message being sent out to the universe, celebrating mutual rights and mutual consciousness, unity over division - these concepts push back against the mundane.

Don't be surprised if Ukraine, along with Belarus and other countries, voluntarily (by referendum) returns to its borders within the former Russian Empire at some point.

The Ukrainian leadership missed its chance for a sovereign state, - the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova

"They have already missed the main chance for the existence of Ukraine within their own borders, a sovereign Ukraine, an independent Ukraine," she said.

If you read between the diplomatic lines and Zakharova does not carry a gag, then this can be understood in such a way that a course has been taken for the annexation of Ukraine.
