Prayer Presentation

In a few months, i have to present a one hour presentation on prayer to a group of hospital chaplains. My initial thought is to present a sort of survey of prayer from the different major religions and then examine prayer from other disciplines including some scientific studies about prayer (maybe even include Masaru Emoto and his work with water?). If anyone knows of any good resources on this topic I'd be grateful if you'd share them. I'll be happy to post the presentation when it's complete. Thanks.

Since there are so many different ideas about what "prayer" IS, I think you'd have to eventually arrive at a definition of "prayer" that most can agree with -- and also talk about how it does (or doesn't) differ from "meditation".

Just my immediate thoughts on the subject, FWIW....
