Not so sacred geometry

I am close to finishing my paper on "Not so sacred geometry" (the real title will be "Quantum fractals on n-spheres"!)
While most of the research for this paper was in four dimensions, today I decided to add one example from 3D. It is a quantum fractal generated by
"Octahedron" - one of the five Platonic solids in 3D. While I already generated such quantum fractals long ago, this one I like very much.
It is like from a science fiction movie. So here it is:

Hmm, I can't appreciate it. It just looks painful to me. Or it just looks like a graph (a symetrical one), with lots of circles made of spikes. Well... It just doesn't do much for me, really.

Why do you like it Ark? Is it saying something to you that I don't understand?

Well,

It appears like one of those pin-cushion mats that
perhaps a chest-naked swami would use for his
back or head? Also, maybe those spikes can
be useful as ancupuncture points? :D

It's reminds me of a crop circle. Maybe there is a connection? Thought representation.
