New Warship Launched - Built From Trade Tower Steel

The Living Force
This just in from the World-Wide Web of disinformation or psychopathic patriotism. I haven't researched the facts of the matter, but my hunch is this disinformation, given reports the steel was whisked away on a slow boat to China to dispose of "crime scene evidence."

If it's legitimate, I can only imagine who christened it -- Condi Rice? Nancy Pelosi? NY Sen. Clinton? The Bush Twins? (You can bet it wasn't Rosie O'Donnell or "The Jersey Girls")

Keep a "barf bag" handy, especially for the part about the "rough steel workers" getting choked up. I'm beginning to think soap-opera writers were recruited into COINTELPRO (prior to the recent overture made to science fictions writers, featured this week on SOTT).

Here SHE is -- The USS New York, made from the World Trade Center!

tradetowership.jpg

The USS New York was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the WorldTrade Center.

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite , LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept. 9, 2003 , "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up." "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? "Never Forget"

Please keep this going so everyone can see what we are made of in this country!

Ummm... could you provide a link where you got this information and maybe research it? Sounds very hokey and right with propaganda-ish to me.

Unfortunately it appears that some of this is true.

Ship Yard

LPD 21 New York is under construction at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Avondale Operations, greater New Orleans area, Louisiana.

Casting the Bow Stem

Steel salvaged from the World Trade Center wreckage has been used in the construction of New York. The shipyard and Navy inspected the steel and found that it was of sufficient material strength so that it could be incorporated into the bow stem of New York.

"We're very proud that the twisted steel from the WTC towers will soon be used to forge an even strong national defense," said New York Gov. George Pataki. "The USS New York will soon be defending freedom and combating terrorism around the globe, while also ensuring that the world never forgets the evil attacks of September 11, 2001 and the courage and strength New Yorkers showed in response to terror."

On 4 August 2005, the LPD 21's bow stem with its World Trade Center steel was erected into the main hull and will forever lead the future USS New York. The complete bow was erected into place in March 2006.

Keel Laying

The keel was laid for New York on September 10, 2004.

Christening Ceremony

The ship's sponsor is Mrs. Dotty England, the wife of Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England. She will "christen thee New York" in a ceremony in 2007.
Sick bag time...

A Google search for 'USS New York' turns up plenty of links.

Two hoax debunking sites – Snopes and Hoax Slayer – have articles: Snopes here and Hoax-slayer here. They both say the ship is being built.

Further research confirms this with articles at the following locations:

http://www.ussnewyork.net/

The ship really does use steel from the WTC; 24 tons of it. At least that's what is being claimed by the Navy and Northrop Grumman. NG claim to be 'defining the future'. Be warned, though, you will need the Acme ® Patented Super Expanding Barf Bag to hand when reading some of the comments on these sites. For example:

On 7 September 2002 in a ceremony aboard USS Intrepid in New York City, then Secretary of the Navy Gordon England announced the decision to name the fifth amphibious transport dock ship of the San Antonio class, New York (LPD 21). Secretary England said, "This new class of ships will project American power to the far corners of the Earth and support the cause of freedom well into the 21st century. From the war for independence through the war on terrorism, which we wage today, the courage and heroism of the people of New York has been an inspiration. USS New York will play an important role in our Navy's future and will be a fitting tribute to the people of the Empire State."

Does anyone think the photo looks either enhanced or CGI? My first impression was that it looks 'too good to be true'. I couldn't see any people on the ship, not that the absence of people says anything one way or another. But I was left with the impression that the photo is a little odd, a little too perfect. According to Snopes, it is actually a photo of the USS San Antonio.

Here's an artist's impression of the USS New York steaming out of New York harbour to bring American Freedom and Democracy to the world.

The ship's patron is one Mrs Dotty England.

In British English, dotty means:
1. crazy, mad
2. eccentric or absurd, often in an endearing way (although how anyone could find it endearing to sponsor a killing machine is a moot point)

Since October 1800, there have been several warships bearing the name 'New York'. Considering the 'coincidences' of dates:

On 11 September 1911, the battleship New York was laid down and then commissioned on 15 April 1914.
(hXXps://www(dot)pms317.navy.mil/ships/lpd21.asp)
Looking at the numerical representation of 11 September 1911, we see:

11 9 1 9 11

A curious pattern of numbers. A word that reads the same backwards as forwards is called a palindrome. Is this some kind of marker in time? From 11 September 1911 to 11 September 2001 is 90 years or 32,873 days. The pattern – 11 9 1 9 11 – suggests that the mid-point of the two dates might have significance.

The American Ephemeris said:
The Julian day is the count of the number of days elapsed since December 31, 1899, at Greenwich Observatory at noon. January 1, 1900, is Julian day 1; January 1, 1901, Julian day 366, and so on.
The Julian day numbers are:
11 September 1911: 4271
11 September 2001: 37144

The Julian day number for the mid-point of these dates is:
37144 – 4271 = 32873, then
(32873 ÷ 2) + 4271 = 20707.5.

The mid-point date is 10 September 1956 (Julian day 20707) plus 12 hours (0.5 day). Noon plus 12 hours at Greenwich is midnight, which in New York is 7pm.

Here is a list of contents and cover for Time magazine's US edition of that date. The corner banner on the cover says: 'Is there enough money? The Flow and Control of Credit.'

William McChesney Martin, who is featured on the cover, was at that time the ninth Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. I thought the image of the blue hand holding the reins of two horses was an interesting symbol. The grey horse is formed from a photo of coins, and the white horse is a collage of deeds, mortgage documents, and so on. Jack Tresidder, in Dictionary of Symbols, says of the horse:

With the notable exceptions of North and South America, where horses mysteriously disappeared for thousands of years until the Spanish re-introduced them, the horse was linked everywhere with the rise of dominant civilizations, and with superiority. The mastered horse is a prime symbol of power […] Death is usually represented by a black horse – but rides a pale horse in the Book of Revelation. (Tresidder)
Of the hand, he says:

Power (temporal and spiritual), action, strength, domination, protection […] the conceptual link between hand and power (words synonymous in ancient Hebrew) is overwhelmingly important in pictorial symbolism […] (Tresidder)
If anyone has further information on this curious symbol, please post it.

Strangely, there is an article in the Religion section entitled 'The Professor's Ark'. It is a review of 'An Historian's Approach to Religion' by Arnold Toynbee. The reviewer remarks that 'Under pressures of population and technology—as Toynbee sees it—human liberty is in for some drastic restrictions, even to state control of the size of families.'

I read through the Federal Reserve article "The Bankers Bank" and found these comments noteworthy;
"...Bill Martin...has turned the Fed, after a ten-year interlude (1941-51) as a puppet of the Treasury, [note the disdain for Constitionally-mandated control of U.S. currency being in the hands of the U.S. Treasury!] back into an independent and effective custodian of the nation's money...Martin regards central banking almost as a religion whose chief temple is Washington's white marble Federal Reserve Building...
...Too few of us realize how deeply the roots of the Federal Reserve are embedded in the soil of democracy [what nauseating propaganda! Yeah, a certain kind of "democracy" described well here (midway into it): Immigration: Ignota nulla curatio morbi! http://www.signs-of-the-times.org/articles/show/133611-Immigration%3A+Ignota+nulla+curatio+morbi%21 ]
...in the understanding that power over money, if abused, can be a tyranny which can destroy all liberty and freedom. [don't say they didn't warn us!]"
A footnote at the end of the article provides a simple explanation of how Elitist exploitation works:
Although the maximum legal interest rate on bank loans in New York State is 6%, a consumer who borrows $100 for one year at the maximum rate has $6 interest deducted in advance. Thus the borrower not only does not receive the full amount of money on which he pays interest, but keeps paying interest on the full amount of his note as he repays the loan. The borrower winds up paying the bank an effective rate of some $12 interest.

MEMO TO THE NAVY:

Muslim terrorists can sink the USS New York by simply throwing Molatov cocktails of jet fuel. (I guess that's why they didn't build an aircraft carrier from that uniquely-meltable steel.)

Reminds me of the short story by Roald Dahl called 'Lambs To The Slaughter'

Alfred Hitchcock based an episode of his 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' on the story that was aired in 1958:

Synopsis of the story is:

Mary Maloney is a devoted wife and an exceptional housekeeper. One day, her husband, the police chief, announces that he wants a divorce because he has met another woman. Mary is quite angry and kills him with a blow from a frozen leg of lamb. She calls the police and provides and alibi for herself with the story that she'd been out to the store when the murder took place. The investigating officer, Lieutenant Noonan, is further frustrated when he cannot find the murder weapon. Knowing of the long and hard hours spent looking into the case, Mary invites Noonan and the other investigators for a bite to eat. They dig into Mary's leg of lamb and Noonan still thinking about the missing murder weapon says "For all we know, it might be right under our very noses."
