My jewellery in a shop!

Just wanted to share that finally I grabbed an opportunity to have the remainder of my home made and assembled jewellery collection up for sale in an actual shop. I started making, designing and assembling pieces over 12 years ago and, being the most non-commercial person on the planet, always had pieces sold at house parties organized by friends. Many times though, seeing how wonderful items would look on ladies, I ended up giving many pieces away. Since we moved to Portugal over 3 years ago, I have not had any access to the good stuff and have not done much creating since. Besides, reading, researching and translating takes up most of my time, so I had kind of closed the jewellery chapter.

So, when my friend here opened up a gift shop in our village's five star luxury hotel a few weeks ago, I remembered the encouraging and warm words of @Alana, @maiko and @Chu and decided to be just bold and ask her if she would be interested in selling my pieces in her shop. She was! So thank you so much, ladies!!

Yesterday, my friend sent me this picture of the display:

When I went over to hand over my stuff last Thursday, i noticed it wasn't really hard to let go of my goodies, whereas before, i sometimes found it difficult to part with some pieces. (I did keep quite a few silver and gold items though, who knows when they might come in handy for trading when things go kaflooey).

Anyway, let us hope that there are people out there that resonate with some items and wear them with as much joy as i experienced creating them. If not though, I am already so happy that my precious friends enjoy their moment in the spotlight!

Congatulations!!! I think they will be a success at your friend's shop. They really are beautiful. And sometimes doing something like this gives your creation a new meaning, as if letting go with the intent of someone else benefitting, did something for you too. OSIT.

Une jolie corde à votre arc que j'ignorais, vos créations sont charmantes...
Avez vous un lien ou un site où il serait possible d'en acheter ?...
Félicitations en tous cas, je vous souhaite de belles ventes bien méritées...

A pretty string to your bow that I didn't know, your creations are charming...
Do you have a link or a site where it would be possible to buy it?...
Congratulations in any case, I wish you beautiful well-deserved sales...

Thank you everyone for your warm wishes, so very encouraging 😍!

Do you maybe have a shop on Etsy or have your own website?

No, I'm afraid I do not @PERLOU and @grini, i have thought about it though, but never made it happen. However, the last time I sent somebody in Europe a small pair of earrings with the national Portuguese mail, all wrapped up in 'bubbly' plastic, and placed inside a wishing card in a normal envelope, the receiver reported receiving only the card plus a letter from the mail company that they were very sorry for delivering only a completely torn and broken envelope! We don't know where the theft happened but it did, and i remember feeling relieved that it hadn't happened in a professional situation, and now I would be very wary to send people jewellery they already paid for, and which then never arrives...

It's a shame what happened, but I understand you, when I sent my "Reborns" I was only calm when the client told me that she had received it... That doesn't take anything away from your adorable creations ... Congratulations 🥰
