This is a book a read years ago, but it popped up again in my mind. I just love it. I can recommend not reading any descriptions, synopsis etc in order avoid spoilers, maybe even the backside of the book.

Read it many years ago. Loved it, too. Such an endearing (at least partly) real life story. I call such books "time or even timeless travellers" since they are jewels that seem to move people across time and, perhaps even, space.
