I don't know how many of you saw the film by Nic Bettauer:
"Duck, Think outside the flock?" with Philip Baker Hall?
It depicts a retiree who lost all because of his dying wife's medical
expenses. He goes homeless in LA, and makes friend, a Duck.
Poignant, lots of international awards, not so much in the US. And
that is likely because of the heart-rending images of what Los Angeles has become.
Now we have it in real life, except that it's a goose:
