Jordan Peterson: Gender Pronouns and Free Speech War

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith had announced unveiling a Parental Rights Policy. I haven't seen this in the official news yet, but this looks to be the meat of the matter, from Keean Bexte of The Counter Signal:

BREAKING: "Top and Bottom" surgeries BANNED in Alberta for all kids aged 17 and under.

NEXT: Hormone Therapy (AKA Puberty Blockers) will be banned for all children aged 15 and under.

FURTHERMORE: Teachers are PROHIBITED from unilaterally changing the name and pronouns of young children without the consent of parents.

SPORTS: Biological Women will have the right to participate in WOMEN ONLY sports. Male-to-female transgender athletes will not have access to these spaces.

So that's a dose of sanity for Trudeau's Canuckistan.

A small dose, though. I'd like to see the surgeries & hormone therapy banned for anyone under the age of 18 years - at the very least. Thinking about myself at 18, I didn't have a clue about much of anything, what it meant to be a man or a woman. I had some vague ideas, but I think I was still more interested in Nintendo. Such is the cultural poverty of the West.

But still, this is much better than nothing, and I'm sure many sensitive groups in Alberta will wring their hands and gnash their teeth at the horror of such a reasonable policy.

I'd much rather see something like Putin's policy of a total ban, to be honest. Or at the very least, remove 100% of state funding from 'gender-affirming care' and focus those funds and medical attention on the many people on the huge list for actual health emergencies.

It'd be nice to see other provinces follow suit - if I were to guess, I think Scott Moe of Saskatchewan would be next.

Kudos to Jordan Peterson, too - I think this kind of legislation is due in large part to his original effort to raise the alarm all those years ago.

As part of this policy, the premier is also requiring that schools ask parents to give informed consent for children under the age of 15 if they wish to change their names and/or pronouns.

Global news does a good summary of the policy here...

Alberta proposes parental consent for name changes in schools, age limits on gender affirmation care | Globalnews.ca

Alberta will be requiring schools to notify and gain parental consent if their child changes their name and pronouns in school.

In a social media post on Wednesday afternoon, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said the government will require parental notification and consent if a child 15 years or younger changes their name and pronouns at school.

In the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, parents of children aged 16 and 17 will not need to consent to the changes but will need to be notified.

Parents will also be given the choice to opt their children out of classroom discussions and instruction on gender identity, sexual orientation or human sexuality. All third-party materials regarding these subjects must be pre-approved by the Ministry of Education.

Progress for sure, but only in the context of the completely insane Overton window that has developed over the last half decade. You get in a time machine and propose these measures to Canadians in 1960 and you'd have been locked up.

I've noticed something very strange when searching for JP on YouTube (from Canada, not logged in, flushed cookies). Usually he appears in the top two suggestions as soon as I type "j" or "jo," but now even when I type his full name he doesn't appear at all!

Is Jordan Peterson shadow banned from YouTube Search? 😯
Can anyone confirm this?
Can confirm he does not come up in suggestions, but even while logged out, if you hit enter, his page comes up.

Jordan and Mikhaila Peterson have noticed it too!
"If you go to YouTube on an incognito tab (logged out) @jordanbpeterson doesn't autofill and neither do I. My views recently have tanked. His have as well. This will crush my podcast on @Youtube if it's not reversed."—Mikhaila Peterson

Anger erupts as Jordan Peterson is censored on YouTube

...and then YouTube does damage control.

Tennessee passes a law banning LGBTQ flags in public school classrooms. Tennessee is becoming a location for too much drama for my taste. Nazi march last week, now this.. Enjoy the show I guess. ;-D At any rate, let all the false idols fall.
Finally something to be proud of!
In Canada, we can't even erase stupid bike lanes causing massive traffic jams in front of hospitals...

Robin Monotti posted an interesting 10 point criticism of JP on X...

It came in response to this tweet by Peterson, which I'm including here for context...

It's such a bizarre position to take. Hard to wrap ones mind around it.

"(Ashkenazi) Jews are disproportionately successful"

Successful at what?

Usury?
Propaganda?
Slavery?
Espionage?
Pornography?
Blackmail?
Communism?
False Flag Attacks?

And of course anyone who dares criticize their actions is "bitter, resentful and vengeful", because according to JP, we all secretly wish we were as proficient as the Zionists at bombing hospitals, killing journalists, targeting civilians, stealing property, and full on public genocide.

The amount of mental gymnastics required to arrive at such a conclusion is staggering. His brain should take a job at Cirque du Soleil.

This is a detailed study of how we got to where we are and where we are going with gender confusion and other societal ills caused partially by environmental factors, changing worldviews, etc. Some aspects of the work are subtext. Well-researched with many sources familiar to forum members.

JK Rowling has been reported to the police in the UK for 'misgendering' a trans newsreader, India Willoughby…

It comes after Rowling, 58, called Willoughby, who is Britain’s first trans newsreader, a “man” in posts on X, formerly Twitter.

Willoughby, also 58, said the best-selling author had “definitely committed a crime” in her posts on Sunday and that it was a “cut-and-dry offence”.

Responding to the claim, which was made in an interview with Byline TV, Rowling said no law compelled her to refer to Willoughby as female.

Northumbria Police has not confirmed to The Telegraph whether it has been contacted by Willoughby or whether it is investigating the matter.
Instead of referring to Willoughby as a 'woman', Rowling "said she was just a man revelling in his misogynistic performance of what he thinks 'woman' means: narcissistic, shallow and exhibitionist"

To my mind, Rowling's view is likely correct; there is no legal basis for a case against her in the Equalities Act and this appears to be more narcissistic attention grabbing:

Other people have also questioned what charges could possibly be brought against Rowling by the police.

Harry Miller from WeAreFairCop, a gender-critical organisation, told The Telegraph: “There is no possible charge. There is no such thing as a hate crime without there first being an actual crime. India is relying on the police not understanding this basic fact.

Misgendering may be rude but it’s not even in the foothills of being criminal.”

I caught this one tonight during my news round, from Andy Ngo

A woman has been convicted by a Portland, Ore. jury of criminal harassment and a hate crime after she misgendered and confronted a trans person using the women's bathroom.

Cassandra McIntyre told Riis Larsen (pictured below), a far-left trans activist formerly known as Ronald A. Larsen, that they're a man and to "get out" after the male allegedly shoved another person to cut in line for the women's toilet. The jury saw video of McIntyre lightly shoving Larsen during the confrontation. She was sentenced to two years probation plus community service—longer than what convicted violent BLM-Antifa rioters and arsonists received in Multnomah County.

Larsen is a self-identified Marxist "queer demi-binary trans woman" who posts online often about transphobia. Support my journalism:

The Multnomah County Circuit Court last week sentenced McIntyre to two years probation and 50 hours of community service, for doing her job, for catering to the complaints of other customers of the establishment, that has got to be one heck of a low blow to anyone's morals and sense of right and wrong.
