Please don't hesitate to provide a link thus other members don't have to search for it.

If I'm correct, the ressource you mentioned is the DEOS Gulf Stream velocity monitoring.

Indeed it's not working, at least today and from my computer.

In a 2003 report, Robert Gagosian cites "rapidly advancing evidence [from, e.g., tree rings and ice cores] that Earth's climate has shifted abruptly and dramatically in the past." For example, as the world warmed at the end of the last ice age about 13,000 years ago, melting ice sheets appear to have triggered a sudden halt in the Conveyor, throwing the world back into a 1,300 year period of ice-age-like conditions called the "Younger Dryas." It is also now known that the Gulf Stream weakened in 'Little Ice Age'

Re: gulf steam watch broken?

perhaps something is happening that they don't want us to see? :/

...or a computer broke, somewhere.

of course, if it were the former, the latter would provide a very plausible alibi.

Re: gulf steam watch broken?

Very strange indeed. And the latest July's pictures seems a lot weaker compared to the same period in 2007.

UPDATE checked today and it was back on :D but yes it looks like it wants to flow slower/weaker than before ,so combined with the sun spots not being there..... it looks like the interglacial period is over ... next ice age here we come (-http://news.scotsman.com/scitech/Last-Ice-Age-happened-in.4351045.jp) and http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=9414.0
