Hi,

I did very small analysis of 1 hour broadcast of one of Polish radio stations Eska and it's musical content emitted Friday 5th April 2024 between 7 and 8 AM - time for many people to drive to work.
I used criterion of how was man / woman depicted.

ARTIST, SONG TITLESUMMARY of the songMAN / WOMAN depiction
1. Kelly Clarkson, Stronger (what doesn't kill you)Strong woman in opposition to weak, self-centered and stupid man.Strong woman / bad man
2. Ray Dalton, All we gotMan dazed by sexual feeling. No self control.Weak man
3. Kenya Grace, StrangersWoman succumbs to emotions and desire. Doubts love.Weak woman
4. Pelican Tribbs, The Bad TouchDegradation of human to animal. Description of sexual intercourse.Weak man
5. Enej, Symetryczno-LirycznaMan woos woman seeking narcotic high in sexual feeling.Weak man
6. Jason Derulo, DownMan woos women and demoralize them to get the most of what he likes for himself.Bad man
7. Alvaro Soler, El Mismo SolNostalgic man dazed by sexual feeling with admixture of resignation.Weak man
8. Ofenbach Ella Henderson, HurricaneWoman gives up to dangerous desire. Knows the danger but ignores the mind.Weak woman
9. Vixen, Ne RozumijuMan seeks support in woman. No control over his life.Weak man
10. Lost Frequencies Bastille, Head DownLost boy sound like a man. But not man yet.Weak man
11. Katy Perry, RoarGirl power in opposition to man. Fight. Wrong boundaries.Strong woman / bad man
12. Bryska, ObcaLost woman with hurt (from her home?). No control over her life.Weak woman
13. Robin Shulz Kiddo, All we gotGirl/kids power in opposition to the mind and social norms. Dreaming of or doubting love.Strong woman? kids?

Result: on 13 songs
- 2 empowering women in opposition to men
- 1 empowering women / kids
- 3 showing bad men
- 6 showing weak men
- 3 showing weak women

Conclusion: no positive man depiction, 3 empowering for women focusing on their independence and care of their own needs, 10 songs showing succumbing to desire.
Focus on: sexual desire for all, independence and power for women, strengthening self-centeredness (is there such a word :)),
A lot of positive life contexts missing.
Haven't I gone too far with this?

Probe very small.
What do You think?

A lot of positive life contexts missing.
I agree with you, it's a symptom of a decaying society.

A few years ago, on my flight back home, a pop song started playing as everybody was getting ready to exit the aircraft. Husbands, wives, children—all of them had to listen to the depraved chorus "cheating on me? cheating on you!"

Paul Harvey's monologue "If I were the Devil" (from 1965) is more relevant than ever.
If I were the Devil

If I were the Devil..... if I were the Prince of Darkness I'd want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I would have a third of it's real estate and four-fifths of it's population. But I wouldn't be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree, thee.

So I'd set about however necessary to take over the United States.

I'd subvert the churches first, I'd begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve, "Do as you please."

To the young I would whisper that the Bible is a myth, I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what's bad is good and what's good is.. 'square'.

And the old, I would teach to pray after me.... "Our Father, which art in Washington."

And then I'd get organized. I'd educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I'd threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa.

I'd peddle narcotics to whom I could,
I'd sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction,
I'd tranquilize the rest with pills.

If I were the Devil I'd soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves.
Until each in it's turn, was consumed.

And with promises of higher ratings, I'd have mesmerizing media fanning the flames.

If I were the Devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects but neglect to discipline emotions, just let those run wild!
Until before you knew it, you'd have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.
Within a decade, I'd have prisons overflowing, I'd have judges promoting pornography.

Soon I could evict God from the courthouse,
Then from the schoolhouse,
And then from the houses of congress.

And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science.

I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls and church money.

If I were the Devil I'd make the symbol of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas.... a bottle.

If I were the Devil I would take from those who have, and give to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.

And what will you bet... I couldn't get whole states to promote gambling, as the way to get rich.

I would caution against extremes:
In hard work
In patriotism
In moral conduct

I would convince the young that marriage is old fashioned, that swinging in more fun. That what you see on TV, is the way to be.

And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed, with diseases for which there is no cure.....

In other words if I were the Devil I'd just keep right on doing what he's doing.

Don’t get me started on the pop Spanish radio stations in Chicago. 1 word, starts with S ends with ex, usually in reggaeton music with barely understandable Spanish. That’s 99% of music broadcasting in the radio. I don’t know.. but that music irritates the living life out of me. I actually can’t listen to it, it’s like torture. Maybe it’s just me, and it all sounds the same, like songs being pumped out of the same conveyor belt with different artificial flavors lol. This really cannot be good for people. God forbid we broadcast songs about a man and woman falling in love for just love

Michal, I think you did a very good analysis and all comments sums it all up very well. Same opinion here.
Like Natus said : it's a symptom of a decaying society.
Here's some good analysis on the subject:

Top 3 Government and Media Mind Control Hacks :
#1. Repetition
- 85% of all mind control is based on repetition. Repetitive messaging is very important to place a population under mind control.

THE FALL OF MEN AND THE AGENDA BEHIND IT……….
#3. The Male Role Modelling In Media Is Purposely Negative and Confusing – very few are aware of the proven science in this area, showing that all humans literally copy what they see on the screen, as their primary form of learned behavior. The psychology professor at this added link explains this fact with extreme clarity. http://bit.ly/2G9WSMy. The negative and confusing role modelling for males in media is massive. I talk about just one example of this in the Hollywood movie, The Circle. http://bit.ly/2ty0jtY Males are continually and increasingly portrayed in Hollywood production as weak, confused, addicted, dependent and good for nothing other than war or having sex with, in order to acquire material possessions from. Sexually confused male characters are predominant in many TV and movie productions, even though such population subsections only represent 2-3.5% of the public in most developed nations. The presentation of sexually confused men is so predominant in media entertainment that when public gallup polls are taken, the average person now believes that 25% of their own populations aren’t heterosexual, when the numbers are 2-3.5%. Protecting marginalized groups from prejudice and attack is essential in any society but is there something else going on here, where 2-3.5% of the population are now dictating public policy for the other 97%? http://bit.ly/2oWl3XI We’re reacting to the screen, not responding to reality. Women heroes and super strong female characters also now dominate the men in most, if not all Hollywood production. Again, not a mistake or random happen stance.

Hi!
Interesting material meadow wind thanks. Natus Videre - I heared it somewhere already and indeed it suits the topic.
Steph_rivers - looks like it is common problem at least for people who would like to have option to hear something beautiful, true - not only dark true but also bright and shiny true... and good - something that is building us from inside, incites our motives to be good, to make our lives better and our surrounding.

Why I did this analysis is not to look into the darkness but to practice and learn and hopefully share some more that can help recognize messages we are being fed and be able to explain it.

My struggle here and not only here is that I do not trust my feelings. And even if there are true genuine feelings that are based on reality that still I think I should be able to explain them. I try to gain clarity. Try to sharpen my mind hopefully finding some universal methods. Rational methods to tackle reality.

Other thing is that it would be supper to have radio broadcast that does opposite job: creates environment with musical vibrations and lyrics that make path to Kansas :).

Very interesting analysis Michal, thank you for sharing. It reminded me of an interview excerpt where Shane Lynch from a 1990s boyband Boyzone talked about rituals being performed to sacrifice music to the devil. He called the music industry "a satanic industry". Given how disgusting or ridiculous (often both) the lyrics have become, and how perverse the visual side of the industry is, it's not hard to imagine there's may be more than a grain of truth in it.

With one person being the author of a vast majority of the lyrics to songs in the charts these days it's not like those singers are anything more than puppets. And it's easy for them to to push their agenda when the content comes form the same well-tested source. Throw in autotune to the mix and are it's an oxymoron to link their names with the word "artist".

Plus, Shane Lynch's revelations match those of Roland Bernard so I'm pretty inclined to believe him.

Here's the video I'm referring to:
