Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Gonzalo‘s thoughts (we are just witnessing the birth of a new world?):

Thanks for posting that Russian meeting. I've been trying to get on the Kremlin site all day and nothing. Biden says: Russian cyber attack. Pffft!

I thought of this article from Sputniknews after watching those Gonzalo videos:

Germany’s Scholz Admits to Blowback From Anti-Russian Sanctions as Food, Energy Prices Skyrocket

Mar. 23, 2022

Berlin joined its European Union partners and the United States in slapping Russia with more than 2,700 new sanctions over Moscow’s decision on 21 February to recognise the Donbass republics as independent states, and Russia's subsequent military operation in Ukraine.

Western sanctions are hitting “many German citizens hard, and not just at the petrol pump”, and restrictions must remain “proportionate” so that the countries which implemented the sanctions aren't damaged more than Moscow, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said.

“Sanctions must not hit European countries harder than the Russian leadership. That is our principle,” Scholz said, speaking at a debate in the Bundestag.

“We have to be very clear: [the crisis in Ukraine] may turn out not be a short-term issue, but a long-term confrontation. And we all have to get through it together. Therefore, Germany’s position on this issue remains unchanged. It’s also a fact that many [EU] member states are highly dependent on imports of oil, gas, coal, even more so than Germany. And no one should be left out in the cold in this regard,” Scholz said, explaining his government’s opposition to a total ban on Russian energy imports, as has been proposed by some EU members.

“We will end dependence [on Russian energy] as quickly as possible. But to do this in one day would plunge our country and the whole of Europe into a recession. Hundreds of thousands of jobs and entire branches of industry would be at risk,” he said.

At the same time, Scholz boasted that Europe and its partners have adopted the “toughest sanctions ever applied against such a large country”. These restrictions, he said, will hinder Russia’s economic development dramatically, with the economy “faltering” and hundreds of foreign companies leaving. “But that’s just the beginning,” he promised, saying sanctions will continue to be tightened.

Scholz’s coalition government reportedly agreed on relief measures aimed to ease biting energy prices for German consumers on Tuesday. The measures are said to include a fuel price discount, an energy allowance and a temporary transport allowance.

German media also reported on “out of control” price rises at major food retailers, with sunflower oil doubling in cost, mineral water, coffee and toilet paper up 10 percent, and dairy products up by five percent.

On Wednesday, the Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research predicted that inflation would reach an average of 6.1 percent in 2022, with growth expected to slow to between 2.2 and 3.1 percent – below the 3.7 percent previously predicted as the country continues to recover from Covid lockdowns. Russia and Ukraine’s status as major exporters of wheat and grain also mean increased food costs, according to the institute. Ifo calculates that German consumers will lose some 6 billion euros in purchasing power by the end of March alone.

This one gives some numbers. Emphases Sputnik's:

Dow Plummets 448 Points as Oil Prices Surge Amid Concerns Over Inflation, Supply Shortages

Mar. 23, 2022

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn earlier this week warned that the American economy could be headed toward a “recession, or even worse" amid continued US and global support of Kiev following the initiation of the Kremlin's special military operation in Ukraine.

At close on Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped some 448.96 points (1.3%), while the S&P 500 declined around 1.2% and the Nasdaq Composite fell approximately 1.3%.

The dips come days after Jerome Powell, chairman of the US Federal Reserve System, said the government's central bank was prepared to increase interest rates by half-percentage-point increments, to reel in inflation.

While Tuesday's market close did not appear to reflect a potential rise in interest rates, indexes slumped on Wednesday after observing a rise in the price of Brent crude, a waterborne crude oil used as the international benchmark for much of the world's oil.
Brent crude rose $6.12 a barrel (5.3%) to $121.60, amounting to the third-highest settlement value of the year, according to the Wall Street Journal. Overall, Brent crude has surged 56% in 2022.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, the US oil benchmark, also saw a 5% gain, amounting to almost $115 a barrel.

"It’s very difficult to try to gauge how the higher interest rates will impact inflation, the economy and earnings growth, and then you add on top of it a war that’s constraining oil," Jack Ablin, chief investment officer for investment firm Cresset Capital, told CNBC.
As energy stocks rallied, Hess and Diamondback Energy were the top gainers at the S&P 500's close, respectively rising 4.6% and 3.9%.

While the S&P 500 has recouped some losses since the beginning of the Kremlin's special military operation in Ukraine, fears of a possible economic downturn remain, particularly as yields on long-term US government bonds slip below yields on short-term bonds. The rare occurrence, known as an "inversion," similarly sounded alarms for financial experts in 2018.

Bandera terror at the official level: shocking document from Odessa (PHOTO) | Russian Spring
That's how Bandera fighters fight — I give an exact translation of the order given by the head of the Odessa regional military administration M. Marchenko.

Extract from the order
16.03.2022 Odessa, No. 101

About the organization of defense

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 64/2022 of 24.02.2022 "On the introduction of martial law in Ukraine", approved by the Law of Ukraine of 24.02.2022 No. 2102-IX, the Laws of Ukraine "On the legal regime of martial law", "On the Defense of Ukraine", to meet the needs of the state in the conditions of the legal regime of martial law in connection with military aggression Of the Russian Federation against Ukraine,
to order:

1. To equip strong points in: School No. 1 (Mikhailovskaya pl., 10), School No. 57 (Yamchitskogo str., 7), School No. 59 (Kanatnaya str., 89), School No. 101 (Bolshaya Arnautskaya str., 9), School No. 94 (Marazlievskaya str., 60), City Hospital No. 8 (Fontanskaya Road, 110), Odessa Regional Clinical Medical Center (Surgical Department) (Sudostroitelnaya str., 1), Clinic of Odessa Medical Institute (Shady str., 8), Maternity Hospital No. 1 (Slepneva Lane, 3), Maternity Hospital No. 4 (Pavel Kravtsov Lane, 7), Mariinsky gymnasium (9 Lva Tolstogo str.), Evening school No. 25 (ul. Staroportofrankovskaya, 45-a), Lyceum "Richelevsky" (Elizavetinskaya str., 5).

2. To organize the equipment of anti-tank and firing positions, engineering and sapper barriers at the selected strong points.

3. To prevent the exit of the civilian population through humanitarian corridors.

Head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration (signed) Maxim Marchenko

Read carefully: turn six schools and educational institutions, two maternity hospitals, three medical institutions into military facilities, strong points and firing positions.

For what? In order to lie later that the Russians are destroying schools, hospitals and maternity hospitals.

Read carefully: do not allow civilians to exit through humanitarian corridors.

What does "not allow" mean? And this means killing everyone who tries to go out through the humanitarian corridors proposed by Russia, as Bandera members do in Mariupol. Use the civilian population as a human shield.

And read the preamble especially carefully: ALL THIS TERRORIST ABOMINATION AND ABOMINATION IS DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF UKRAINE ESTABLISHED BY THE BANDERA AUTHORITIES.

And draw your own conclusions.

Creepy footage: Ukrainian UAV shot Mariupol from the air (VIDEO)
23.03.2022 - 15:51

A Ukrainian drone flew over Mariupol. These heavy shots show what the seaside town has become after fierce battles with the Nazis.

Recall that the Ukrainian militants, who were holed up in the city, set up firing points in the apartments of civilians, attacking from there the Russian military and the DPR People's Militia soldiers.

They did not allow the civilian population to leave Mariupol, turning hundreds of thousands of its inhabitants into a human shield.

Currently, the DPR and Russian troops are completing the cleanup of the Left-Bank district of the city, assault groups are knocking out the surviving Nazis from residential quarters.

'The deployment of NATO "peacekeepers" to Ukraine would be considered as "NATO territory".'

Article in full:
Earlier, the US president, Joe Biden, came to Europe to hold a series of meetings in Brussels and Warsaw with NATO allies and partners in arranging additional aid to Kiev and additional sanctions on Russia over the special military operation in Ukraine.

The Biden administration has put together a team of national security officials to draw scenarios for how the US will respond in the event of a chemical, biological, or nuclear weapon attack by Russia during its ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, The New York Times reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, citing sources within the discussions, a so-called 'Tiger Team' is considering what to do if Russia crosses into NATO territory to destroy convoys carrying weapons and aid to embattled Ukraine.

The committee, which reportedly meets three times a week in closed meetings, is also considering how to respond if Russia moves into neighboring countries such as Moldova and Georgia, as well as how to prepare European countries for a massive new influx of refugees.

The committee, which reportedly meets three times a week in closed meetings, is also considering how to respond if Russia moves into neighboring countries such as Moldova and Georgia, as well as how to prepare European countries for a massive new influx of refugees.

Sullivan's memo also reportedly organized a second team of officials to look at long-term potential for the US to better its geopolitical position as a result of the current standoff over the Ukraine crisis.

According to the outlet, the White House believes that the special military operation will hurt Russia in the long term, hurt its economy, and alienate potential allies for years, but some officials reportedly caution that it is too early to tell.

In recent weeks, the White House and NATO headquarters have ramped up warnings that Russia may resort to its most potent weapons in its special military operation. Also on Wednesday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned that if weapons of mass destruction were used inside Ukraine, it would have "dire consequences" for NATO. He also reportedly mentioned that one question being investigated is whether collateral damage would be considered an "attack" on NATO under the organization's charter, evoking the military response.

Stoltenberg reportedly said he believed that "allies will agree to provide additional support, including cybersecurity assistance and equipment to help Ukraine protect against chemical, biological, radiologic and nuclear threats."

The claims are made as Russian troops discover secret biolaboratories in Ukraine, that were funded by the US. And according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, these laboratories could be used to develop biological weapons.

Russia has also repeatedly stressed that it has disposed of its stockpiles of chemical weapons, while the US has its stockpiles. On Tuesday, the Russian embassy in the nation noted that Washington deliberately delayed the destruction of their remaining 3% of chemical weapons.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with CNN this week that the Russian government would only resort to using nuclear weapons in the event of an "existential threat" to its own existence.

On Thursday, Biden will attend an extraordinary NATO summit on Ukraine and meet with G7 leaders, according to the White House. He will also attend a European Council summit and hold a bilateral meeting with European Council President Charles Michel, before ending his trip in Warsaw on Saturday where he will discuss humanitarian issues with his Polish counterpart.

Accept the fact that without confronting the Empire and seeking its downfall. There will be no hope for humanity.
There is no hope for nowadays humanity through war, where the end result, at best, would be the creation of another empire on the ruins of the current one, which would still be detrimental to our planet and people's life, IMHO...
May be there is no other way though.
What a crazy world !

The Empire creates chaos, Russia puts out the fires. That’s our current geopolitical situation.

Sadly all of this is necessarily.

Read this SOTT article from 2018 to get a better understanding who Putin is at hearth and why he is taking a stand.

He is a man of conscience.

People are not "things"...
How tragic a "show" !
It is painful of any death. But, Suffering always existed on this planet whether Western media showed or not to their audience. How many times western media showed African kids digging sewage land for a little bit of metal so that they can sell that metal scrapple to have something to put in the stomach? When all attempts for safe coexistence have failed, fighting will come one way or other.

Some shocking video in this article, the AFU are really taking it hard. Specially those in bunker, once discover the they call tank and they take them out. Filled with differant explosive and ordonnance inside, they blow up and kill everyone inside and around.

New Russian Victories Mark Month Of Military Operations In Ukraine

Irpen
March 24 marked a month of the Russian military operations in Ukraine. After the Russian blitzkrieg thrust in the first days and Kiev’s incapacity to negotiate with Moscow, Russian troops together with DPR and LPR forces have moved to the implementation of their goals by military means, orderly destructing military infrastructure all around Ukraine and eliminating the AFU grouping in the eastern regions.
The speed of Russian advance raises doubts about the success of the Russian tactics. On the other hand, the AFU are yet to claim any strategic victories. While the most powerful AFU groupings are surrounded or risk to be surrounded in the near future, the attrition war seems to be working in Russia’s favor.

By the morning of March 24, the units of the Russian army took control of the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region. The claims were confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defence. Fierce clashes continue in the village of Kamenka, where the AFU is trying to prevent the Russian advance to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk region and Barvenkovo town. After Russian forces break through the Ukrainian defence in the region, they could cut off the road and advance dozens of kilometres to the southern direction.
In their turn, LPR forces are trying to encircle the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk region, continuing their offensive in the direction of Popasnaya, Bakhmut, and Soledar with the aim of flanking the AFU grouping in Severodonetsk from the south and the southwest. After the town of Rubezhnoe, located in the north-western outskirts of Severodonetsk was taken by the LPR, no other successes were confirmed in the region.

The units of the DPR People’s Militia are advancing in the town of Maryinka. They are slowly advancing street by street, pushing Ukrainian soldiers to the western outskirts of the town. Local military reporters confirm that numerous foreign-made weapons, as well as bodies foreign mercenaries killed in the clashes, were discovered in the area. The full control over the town by the DPR is yet to be claimed.

Another important battlefield for the DPR forces is the village of Avdiivka, from where the AFU have shelling civilians in Donetsk and nearby villages for years. Taking into account that the AFU positions in the region have been fortified during the years of war, DPR troops avoid entering the town and are slowly encircling Avdiivka from the north. Meanwhile, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) and DPR artillery continue shelling of the AFU positions near Avdiivka nonstop.
While Russian troops are encircling the whole AFU grouping in the Donbass region, DPR forces deployed in Donetsk with support of the Russian VKS are suppressing enemy positions on the city’s outskirts in order to stop shelling by Ukrainian forces on local civilians.
According to the DPR representative in the JCCC, in 35 days, 62 civilians were killed, another 466 were injured, including children.
In the city of Mariupol, DPR forces continue the mop up operation. So far, about 70% of the city were taken under the control of the joint Russian and DPR forces.

In the other regions of Ukraine, Russian ground forces are not actively moving.
In the Kiev region, Russian troops are conducting tactical-level operations in order to deplete the AFU military potential in the region. The AFU command is forced to keep troops there and attempt counterattacks, which lead to heavy losses.
In order to prevent the AFU from moving their military from Nikolaev, Odessa, Zaporozhie, Russian forces do not enter the cities.
Mine clearance in the Kherson region:

Meanwhile, military facilities of the Ukrainian armed forces are being constantly destroyed by high-precision long-range naval and air-based weapons.
On the evening of March 23 and the night of March 24, 13 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed as a result of the strikes, including nine S-300 and four Buk-M1 in the settlement of Danilovka, south of Kiev, the headquarters of the compound and a warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons in the settlement of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, as well as a temporary deployment point of the nationalist battalion in the city of Lisichansk.
In general, overnight 60 military facilities of Ukraine were hit, including two command posts, two multiple rocket launchers, four ammunition depots, 47 areas of accumulation of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian air defense systems destroyed 2 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the cities of Staraya Markovka and Kharkiv. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The large landing ship was likely Orsk ship of the 1171 project which was built in 1967 or another ship of the same project Saratov, built in 1964.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine rushed to claim the destruction of the ship:
“A large landing ship “Orsk” of the occupying army was destroyed near the port of Berdyansk,” the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
However, judging by the footage, the explosion could also be either the result of the work of a Ukrainian sabotage group, or negligence that led to the ignition and detonation of ammunition on board. Any missile or its wreckage are seen on the videos from the spot:

In any case, the ship is now out of service.

How to enjoy the "show", when so many ordinary people are suffering ?
Do you think that the world has never suffered before this moment? The Americans killed MILLIONS of civilians (and millions of children) of the countries they invaded: Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia and many others (let's not forget Korea and Vietnam). How did people live for 8 years in the Donbass under daily shelling of their homes (15,000 dead)? In Russia in the 1990s, hundreds of thousands of people died of hunger and poverty. What do you think about this? How have you been living all these years?

I liked how Putin in February (just before the start of the special operation in Ukraine) said:
“And why do you think that goodness must always be powerless? I do not think so. I think that just good implies the ability to protect oneself. We will proceed from this, ”Putin said, answering the question of a Kommersant journalist whether it is possible and necessary to solve all problems with the help of force and remain on the side of good.
