What are you listening to?

Loretta Lynn’s family said she died Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
“Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills,” the family said in a statement. Lynn already had four children before launching her career in the early 1960s, and her songs reflected her pride in her rural Kentucky background.

In today's newspaper I saw an article entitled 'Wat als de bom valt?' (What if the bom drops?)
This brought me back 40 years in time to this legendary Dutch song 'De bom'.

English:
The bom - Doe Maar
Making a career before the bomb drops
Working on my future before the bomb drops
Running around my schedule before the bomb drops
Safe in the health insurance before the bomb drops

And if the bomb drops
Then I'll be in my neat suit, diplomas and my checks in my pocket
My policy and my vocabulary -- auoei
Under the apartment buildings of the city next to you

Drop it then, it'll come anyway
It doesn't matter if you run
I never knew you, I wanna know who you are
I wanna know who you are

I'm guaranteed success against fire and for my life
I've got everything, but no time, not even for a moment
I have to think of my salary and my relations
But I'd rather know who you are before it's too late

Because if the bomb drops...(etc.)

You have homework to do before the bomb drops
Getting a degree before the bomb drops
E=MC squared before the bomb drops

Sweet child in time, you'll see the line
Line that's drawn between the good and the bad
See the blind man shooting at the world
Bullets flying, ooh taking toll
If you've been bad - Oh Lord I bet you have
And you've not been hit oh by flying lead
You'd better close your eyes, aahaouho bow your head
Wait for the ricochet

I've been listening to the Sovereign's Piper, Paul Burns, playing for Queen Elizabeth's funeral. The two times he played that day were absolutely immaculate. I play bagpipes myself and this is possibly the biggest audience ever exposed to this music at one time.

This is him playing "Sleep, Dearie, Sleep" at Westminster Abbey -

This is at Windsor Castle. He is playing a slow air called "A Salute to the Royal Fendersmith" -

Below is a link to an article on Pipes|Drums website about the event:
Piping and drumming excellence on full display as Queen Elizabeth II laid to rest

Todd Rundgren is not someone I would think about for a song called Healing (Pt 1) but I just found this and it seems like we might need healing during these chaotic times. Some comments indicate it has been played for dying family members and at funerals but it may soothe the living as well I suppose (not sure about the all seeing eye at the end but "His eye is on the sparrow").

I liked the sax in there too. Sax is an instrument I have always enjoyed and I wish I had "time" to learn to play one.
I really like Earl Klugh too. He is originally from Detroit Michigan. You are one of the few I know who even has heard of him.

Can't help but throw in another Earl Klug song, "Wishful Thinking".
