Israel-Palestine War: Hamas Breaks Out of Gaza, Israel Responds With Genocide

Israeli army hands out 'Ramadan boxes' to incite Gazans against resistance

The Israeli army is seeking to replace Hamas with tribal figures to deliver aid and govern Gaza under an indefinite Israeli military occupation
After attacking aid convoys and preventing traditional aid agencies from delivering food to starving Gazans, the Israeli army has begun distributing “Ramadan boxes” to residents of the besieged enclave, Israeli media reported on 4 March. The distributions are part of Israel's "influence operations" to reduce support for Hamas and create a new tribal governing system.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, these boxes include dates, oil, sugar, semolina, tea, and flour.

Israeli Army Radio reported that the military has been distributing the food boxes to residents and displaced Palestinians with a Quranic verse on the virtue of feeding the poor attached.
Senior Israeli military officials said this operation aims to drive a wedge between Hamas and the people of Gaza.

UNRWA and the World Food Programme (WFP) have been delivering aid to the besieged enclave since the war began on 7 October. But Israel carried out a propaganda campaign to cut international funding to UNRWA, and its military opened fire on WFP aid convoys, causing the organization to cease its deliveries for security reasons.

On 29 February, Israeli forces opened fire on desperate Gazans seeking sacks of flour from an aid convoy, killing over 100 of them. The Israeli military would not reveal which group operated the convoy.
According to Arab World Press, the Israeli military has been reaching out to tribal leaders in Gaza to replace UNRWA and the WFP in overseeing aid deliveries.

Sources speaking with the Cairo-based news outlet said at least two of the well-known families in the Al-Sabra and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods in the southwest and southeast of Gaza dealt in some way with Israeli civilian authorities.
One tribal leader stated, "We are not ready to cooperate with the occupation on any issue whatsoever," but acknowledged forming tribal self-defense committees to prevent homes and property from being looted.

The food deliveries and tribal outreach come as Israel seeks "to test the rule of local Gazan clans in the Gaza Strip after Hamas was destroyed," the Jerusalem Post reported on Monday.

"Israel aims to inundate the Gaza Strip with a primitive governance system, resembling tribal rule, where each neighborhood has its leader," Abdallah Sharsharah, a Gaza-based lawyer and human rights advocate, told Middle East Eye (MEE).

"These leaders do not rely on popular will but on the strength of arms, as competing groups," he added.

"When the [army] detained figures like professors, elders, dignitaries, and influential personalities, especially from the northern parts of the strip, they asked exploratory questions to examine the extent to which these figures and the community in general would accept the idea of them directly managing humanitarian aid," Sharsharah told MEE.

"At that stage, we did not notice any field arrangements for this approach, but recently, with the occupation announcing its intention to hand over the administration of aid to some entities in the Zaitoun neighborhood … it became clear that something is being arranged on the ground."

Sharsharah believes by taking all these steps, Israel intends to create an alternative to both Hamas and UNRWA. The UN aid agency had also provided education and health care to Gazans.

"Historically, the occupation's cooperation with tribal figures in managing the Gaza Strip is not new. However, this time is different because the occupation realizes that these entities it cooperates with gain their power from being nothing more than organized gangs," Sharsharah explained.

Adel Mhanna, a resident of Gaza City, told MEE that Israel is seeking the collapse of law and order in Gaza to pave the way for a new governing structure subordinate to its interests.

"The north of Gaza has been living in a total state of chaos in terms of aid distribution and goods," the 34-year-old teacher said.

"The [Israeli] occupation has caused this state of chaos among the hungry residents and gangs who loot most of the aid," he added.

According to Mhanna, "They are intentionally preventing the entry of aid into Gaza and hampering the work of UN organizations so they would create a total chaos there that would allow them to impose a new form of governance in the future."
Reports of a plan to have Gaza tribes handle civil affairs while Israel occupies the strip militarily emerged in January.

TRT World reported that according to Israel's public broadcaster KAN, the Israeli army had devised a plan to divide Gaza "into regions and sub-regions, with Israel communicating separately with each group for matters including the distribution of humanitarian aid."

KAN reported the plan may also extend to the occupied West Bank and recommends dividing the territories into "emirates" with Israel retaining sole security control.
With Israel there is no free lunch, the strongest donations and material aid going to Palestine are from the Arab state which for obvious reasons seeks to "help Gaza" and they do it on the border with Egypt. The strategy was to remove any observer, doctor or international aid to monopolize aid and information and gain internal control of the territory. Now as in the second war comes the blackmail- "association" on a few "family clans" to obtain the tribal control of those who stay there. And then one understands how the new "Soros" are born together with all the sponsored "capos".

Gantz's visit to Washington is a sign that Netanyahu could be ousted.

How interesting to see this as a Shakespearean play, or a Kurosawa film, the struggle for power is bloody, as in the Middle Ages, they kill each other, treachery is the order of the day, obscure games, and so on. And if Netanyahu goes away then good news, we are disgusted to see his demonic face.

The music they play in the video helps a lot to imagine the war between these two men. But who knows, maybe all is a lie.

The face may change, but I doubt anything else, what really matters, will. Netanyahu has to stay in the gov. system to keep his immunity, otherwise he would have to hide somewhere in a deep hole to escape years in prison. At least it seems so.

I don't know, but I think that if any significant change was going to result from Gantz's trip and talks, we wouldn't hear about any of those. Since we did, my guess is it's all just PR and distraction.

Top US officials hold 'difficult talks' with Israeli opposition leader

In short, the visit of the leader of the political opposition, Benny Gantz, is not necessarily that of the leader of an ideological opposition, he is just another actor -using the metaphor of the staging mentioned by Loreta- , if we are bothered by the face of the bad guy. Now we put on the ugly one, but in reality they are only denominations for demons. All the political leaders of Israel approve the incursion of ground troops in Rafah, and the total control of the aid to the survivors in the territory, validating the planned extermination of Palestine because without this operation it is like 'extinguishing 80 percent of the fire' ,

Israeli war cabinet member and former defense minister Benny Gantz held talks with US officials on 4 March after traveling to Washington the day before. Gantz reportedly struggled to convince US officials that Israel has a plan to safely evacuate Palestinians ahead of a planned military assault on Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah, desperately overcrowded with over a million civilians. Israel claims Rafah is Hamas' final bastion.

“The Israeli side has run into difficulties explaining Israel’s stance regarding the evacuation of [civilians] in Rafah before [military] action, with skepticism on the American side,” an unsourced report by Israel’s Channel 12 said.
The report added that Gantz told US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan that Israel is “committed to finishing the job.”

According to Israel Hayom, Gantz told Sullivan that "ending the war without clearing out Rafah is like sending a firefighter to extinguish 80% of the fire." Neglecting the Rafah operation would be “unacceptable” to Israel.

(...) Gantz said that the issue is not sending in the aid but rather Hamas’ “takeover” of the distribution process. US intelligence recently concluded that there is no evidence to suggest Hamas exploits or exercises control over humanitarian aid.
“There are deep differences between the perspective of the US government and that of most Israelis; in his visit, Gantz managed to close some of these gaps and present Israel's viewpoint,” a source told Israel Hayom.

Gantz had previously said that Israel will invade Rafah by the start of Ramadan if Israeli prisoners in Gaza were not released by then.

This quote from LOTR has come to mind lately:
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
Like there's a trap for everyone.

And this other one:
...evil takes another shape and grows again.

So be on guard, but it all smells the same. :cool2:

In an apparent first for a Western leader, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Minister for Foreign Affairs and other Australian politicians have been referred to the International Criminal Court for being an accessory to genocide and war crimes by funding and supporting Israel under the Rome Statute. The referral lists these actions:

  • Freezing $6 million in funding to the primary aid agency operating in Gaza – UNRWA – amid a humanitarian crisis based on unsubstantiated claims by Israel after the International Court of Justice had found it plausibly to be committing genocide in Gaza.
  • Providing military aid and approving defence exports to Israel, which could be used by the IDF in the course of the prima facie commission of genocide and crimes against humanity.
  • Ambiguously deploying an Australian military contingent to the region, where its location and exact role have not been disclosed.
  • Permitting Australians, either explicitly or implicitly, to travel to Israel to join the IDF and take part in its attacks on Gaza.
  • Providing unequivocal political support for Israel’s actions, as evidenced by the political statements of the PM and other members of Parliament, including the Leader of the Opposition.

The referral is written by Kings Counsel, Sheryn Omeri and has been endorsed by 100 lawyers and barristers.

From what I understand at this point, the ICC will need to appoint a prosecutor to try the matter after they have read the referral.

Albanese's reaction:

Anthony Albanese said the referral to the court, made by Sydney-based law firm Birchgrove Legal, did not have any credibility.
"I don't wish to comment particularly on something that clearly has no credibility going forward," he said.

"I don't think that peaceful resolution is advanced by misinformation, and there has been substantial amounts of misinformation about what is occurring."

Given the ICC has already agreed that genocide and war crimes are happening in Gaza, I have a feeling that Albanese's take on the situation will not help him and Australia's misinformation legislation does not apply to the criminal court. It's kind of strange to see Airbus Albo take a similar stance to Netanyahu in regards to the ICC because he often does seem to be a bit of an airhead rather than the seeming conscious evil that Netanyahu portrays, more of a clown. But then I guess psychopaths come in many flavours.

While on Tuesday the Turkiye President Erdogan said during the visit of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas a press conference:
“One of the biggest obstacles to a solution are the actions of the usurpers, called settlers, who have invaded and stolen land that belonged to Palestinians,
An Israeli real estate event in Canada and the US is facing major backlash from community residents as well as pro-Palestinian activists over the advertisement of properties located in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, which are deemed illegal under international law.

US: Israeli real estate event draws backlash over sale of West Bank settlement properties

Council on American-Islamic Relations calls for federal investigation into real estate event in Teaneck, New Jersey

The event, titled the "Great Israeli Real Estate Event", took place in Montreal on Tuesday evening, and there will be upcoming events in Toronto, New Jersey, and New York this month.
The event's website advertises properties located in several Israeli cities. It also lists the following Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank: Neve Daniel, Efrat, Ma’ale Adumim. The Jewish Link, a Jewish newspaper from the American northeast region, reported that individuals can register for the events at the website for the company, My Home in Israel. My Home in Israel lists properties for sale in several areas of the occupied West Bank, including in East Jerusalem.
According to the company's website, the property for sale in occupied East Jerusalem will be available for sale at the exhibition in Teaneck, which will be located at the Congregation Keter Torah synagogue.
The upcoming event in Teaneck was met with outrage from the local community, including from Palestinian, Muslim, and Jewish residents.
Rich Siegel, a Jewish resident of Teaneck, raised concerns over the real estate event during a township meeting last week, noting the settlement properties and said that if the event were to continue, he would help lead protests against it.
“Teaneck’s Muslim and Jewish communities have both expressed concern with the sale taking place in their township," Dina Sayedahmed, communications manager for the Council on American-Islamic Relations' New Jersey chapter, said in a statement.
"We call on federal authorities to act immediately and launch an investigation into this planned event."

Middle East Eye reached out to My Home in Israel and the director of Congregation Keter Torah for comment on this story, but did not receive a comment by time of publication.
Israeli settlements in the West Bank are deemed illegal under international law, however, Israel differentiates between settlements and settler outposts, the latter of which it deems illegal under its own laws.

As of mid December last year it was estimated that nearly 1/2 million Israeli's left Israel and did no return. Today's numbers are not known yet. (dual passports and going mostly to Europe)

Recently high ranking military are resigning...(also leaving?)

Now the Haifa airport? I'm guessing we could soon be seeing a mass exodus, or at least a continued "We're vacationing in Europe" trend.

Nearly half a million people depart Israel amid Gaza war: Report

“The figures show that the number of Israelis who left and did not return is estimated at around 470,000,” Zman said.

"Therefore, there is a negative migration of about half a million people, and this does not include thousands of foreign workers, refugees, and diplomats who left the country,” it added.
