In defence of trance music:
Caution: This missive was composed while listening to a couple of trance tracks
at a relatively high volume:
Ayla singularity (brainchild II) ayla's club mix

Ayla's music reminded me:

"Let's All Chant". The masterpiece of Disco Music. D.J. Ferney's version.

This reminds me of an article i had seen on SOTT Around 2011. I could not find it for the life of me, but it said they can basically predict which songs will be hits before they record them, as brain imaging scans show that they light up the pleasure centers of the brain.
Here is something that relates. _http://scientopia.org/blogs/scicurious/2011/01/31/this-is-your-brain-on-music/

This is your Brain on Music

Whenever I do outreach to kids in schools about drug research and drugs in the brain, we end up talking about "natural" highs. Pleasurable things like food and sex, and as I told them, rock and roll. I knew there had been previous studies out there showing that music activates pleasure and reward-related regions of the brain. This one is by no means the first, though it is the first to show a nice time correlation with specific brain area activation, and the first to really make certain that dopamine was the culprit. Nevertheless, this paper lit up the internet, because nothing sounds as good as the phrase "music gets you high!".
-------------------------- --------------------------- -------------------------
This paragraph made me think about the basis of human civilization in general: Shamanism-drugs-religion-culture with its ups and downs in its various aspects and contributions to the awakening.

By the way: I do not use drugs, my drugs are music and reading.

Two superb examples of Musicals “Highs”:

I suppose this is where you need a mirror, and to be honest with yourself lest it becomes an addiction. I would have never said this until reading, and listening to Dr. Gabor Mate, . An addiction specialist, His addiction is music. That, and reading the splitting thread.

I think it depends partly on your response to the music. Sometimes I listen to trance-like music (I have many tracks that resemble trance, but are more active and interesting) and if it gets repetitive, I just tune it out like I would a box fan droning or a car motor. The repetition is not really a hook for me, I just don't feel good or have good results from getting "into it". The C's have said that you can safely observe many things that would normally be a negative influence, if you do so with awareness and knowledge.

I find that if I visualize the "performer", and listen to the music as though it were performed by a person, it brings a new level of mental processing. The performer becomes someone you empathize with based on the performance. I find that when I do this, any trace of superficiality or negative emotion in the music is greatly amplified and made very unpleasant. This is a good way to ruin a track you thought you liked, because you may not be able to "unsee" it. The performer is mercilessly unmasked as a whiner, a narcissist, or an imitator. With this new context you have the option of empathizing or not empathizing with each sequence of notes. At times you may feel the performer is being childish or having wishful thinking. At times you may feel strong empathy and at other times you may just not "get" the performer. Then you may learn something about the performance that adds context and more things click into place.

Good music becomes more interesting. What the composer is "saying" with the music seems to become much clearer, and you might even be able to write a narrative for the music. You get a sense of what the composer is feeling. Music becomes very palpable if you add some basic performance context.

I think it is possible to have a very different experience of music based on this experiment. I would think there are people who have experienced music this way all their life, without realizing or understanding why others hear it differently.

Hi, Davey 72:
Maybe I should not have put that "Music is my drug", perhaps due to use the word "Addiction". I can not properly use many words in English and although I duly did, I think many times the words you write do not correspond exactly with our thoughts, so I think it will be not only interesting but essential sott program: SOTT TALK RADIO SHOW INFORMATION THEORY, OR WHY YOUR BRAIN IS NOT YOUR MIND, next Sunday. I hope I can clearly hear it or read it when someone be kind enough to transcribe the program.

It's amazing how a song stirs emotions and makes people really happy display, in spite of being the singer McCartney perfect representative of "System".

Hit song, banned in many radio stations and TV because the lyrics with explicit language against corrupt Mexican politicians and mixing English with Castilian as doing custom in many regions of Mexico, distorting the words.

The police extorting you, money (money)
But they live on what you're paying
And if you are treated like a criminal (robber)
Not your fault, give thanks to the regent
The root problem (aha) You have to start
And change the government of our country
A people who are in the bureaucracy
To those people who likes the crumbs
I why I complain and complain
Because this is where I live
And I'm not a fool
Not wachas government posts
Some people are getting rich
People living in poverty
Nobody does anything because no one you interest
The people upstairs hates you, there are more people
who want to drop their heads
If you give more power to the harder
they'll come and grab
Because we were a world power
We are poor, we mishandle
Gimme gimme gimme gimme all power
To give you the mother
Gimme gimme gimme gimme all power
So I can come around to -flick-

Damele Damele Damele Damele full power
Damele Damele Damele Damele all power

Because we were not born where there to eat
No need to ask how can we do?
If we paint as a Birdbrain
We're not:viva mexico, cabrones
The Mexican power sits, sitting
Together as brothers because we are more
We pulled more evenly why are following a bunch of assholes?
That lead them where it suits them and our sweat what keeps
Keeps eating hotcakes
That bread is the bread of our people

Gimme gimme gimme gimme all power
To give you the mother
Gimme gimme gimme gimme all power
So I can come around to -flick-

The words of the controversial artist Gloria Trevi (Gloria Treviño) popular Mexican idol with enormous personal problems in the past that led to prison in Brazil, strongly excited the audience at the International Festival of viña del Mar in Chile 2013.

These are the words that made the public delirious:

There was a time when I could not stop my tears
But lift my face and I understood that can not live without dying
Nor you can wake up without having been asleep.
in hard times recalls that have me,
Look at me I had a fall and I trod but not crushed me
the pain hit me but did not break me.
The day will turn out for me., but I understood
That night there were dark was sequins
Because that's life
And better values the good, the beautiful and simple
if you are a survivor
because the food is richer when you're hungry
A hug comforting you when the soul cries
because you cling more to life when you feel the agony
and the crumbs are treasure when you have nothing
that's when you merge with giving you even a glance
because if it was pity or ruthless
that look up to me today and tell all those
what they hate me and those who love me
thanks to them I'm here, standing
stronger and more bitch than it was before falling
and I love them, I love them, because either way,
for better or worse, everyone looks at me.

Everyone looks at me --- Gloria Trevi

I would like to weigh in with a couple things.

1. When I saw the thread title I assumed it would have a negative/controllers helpers sort of slant. You know, the Wizard of OZ is the man behind the curtain controlling things and the DJ's are his helpers to keep the status quo and support the Wizard's power/control/manipulation. Oops.

2. Lasers and Strobes = hypnotism.

3. On Color Codes: Power Rangers? Target audience grew up and were programmed as children with/by the Power Rangers. I think it is a valid connection.

4. The hit numbers/real popularity. This applies to almost anything on Youtube. It is good to remember that Youtube is another face of Google and that NSA/CIA has it's fingers all over that pie. (as well as the 'entertainment' industry) On Google they can read your mail. On Youtube they can see what you watch and what you post. And they can manipulate the numbers to make anything seem more popular than it is (if they want it to be watched by the masses) just as they can reduce the number of hits on anything they want to marginalize in people's minds.

Case in point: One version of Gangnam Style has something like 2.5 billion hits. Really? Seriously? OK it appealed to the asian market as well as western markets so I get that, but there are only about 7 billion people on the whole planet total, right? And the target market slice for something like Gangnam Style is maybe 20% of the total... max? So do you really think EVERYBODY age 15-35 watched that thing? Add in the fact that only a fraction of the population is connected to the internet (I know - smart phones have changed that)... So how many people in Africa really watch these things? Mongolia? The Arab world? 1 million hits does not mean 1 million people watched or that they watched any video all the way through. How many people watch them 10 or 20 times? How many people watch if for like 15 seconds and say "yuck" and turn it off? That is still a 'view". If a Katy Perry or Taylor Swift video gets 1.5 billion hits, what does that really translate to in reality? (kind of like the unemployment numbers in the USA? Or Hillary Clinton's 'popularity') Do you whack it down by a factor of 10? More? And how much does the NSA pad the numbers? I know why they do it - but to what extent they cook the numbers I have no clue.

Another interesting thing is to look at the "likes" vs the times viewed. On the really popular videos it might be 1 "like" per 100-300 so-called views. Anyway, the video at the beginning of the thread has 45,000 likes. Maybe that is closer to the true reality than the number of views. So, I think it is good to remember that so much of our 'reality' is manipulated and manufactured to create false impressions for the sake of easy control by the powers that be.

The story of a woman like many others with a difficult childhood, manipulated and humiliated.

Everybody is looking at me (Todos me miran).

You made me feel like I was worth nothing
And my tears fell to you feet
I looked at my reflection in the mirror
And couldn't find myself
I was just what you wanted to see

And I let my hair down, I dressed up like a queen
I used high heels, make up and I was beautiful
And then I walked towards the door
I heard you shouting after me
But your chains can't stop me anymore
And I looked at the night and it wasn't dark anymore
It was now made of sequin

And everybody is looking at me, at me, at me
Because I know I’m pretty
Because everybody admires me
And everybody is looking at me, at me, at me
Because I do what few would have the courage to do
And everybody is looking at me, at me, at me
Some with envy
But in the end, but in the end
But in the end, everybody will love me

Hi BHelmet

In reply # 55 you wrote about three very important words: SOUND, COLOR and HYPNOTISM,
The latter especially is a fascinating topic to understand the behavior of human beings.

On this last topico Laura know enough, but the C's said it is not desirable practice because the free will of each person is violated, but the PTB, can manipulate at will, it would have to weigh all this to see if it is fair.

Yes I totally agree. The C's mentioned strobe lights being used by emergency vehicles for their hypnotic impact. Circles within circles rotating in opposite directions (like the beginning of almost all news broadcasts and many network sports broadcasts) also induce a trance state. The laser lights shown in the video do that: go in opposite directions in circular motions (among other patterns). It would not surprise me if the lightwave frequencies chosen also have an impact.

But fair? It is fair in the mind of STS. We agreed to this life and state of physical being. It is a free will planet. So the controllers think they are free to do whatever they want, including violating everybody's free will. Such a "catch 22"!

And with knowledge of these tricks we can gain some protection.

hi, EricG. I think is not a matter of "old" or "young" people, this is very interesant becauce is an IMPRESSIVE MASS MANIPULATION.

In what way do you see it as mass manipulation?

I would like to respond. On one level is the "everybody pump your fist in the air the same way", "everybody this", "let's all that" cheerleading from the DJ's. Of course this has been going on a long time. "Everybody put your hands together": I began being annoyed by that at concerts in the early 70's.

Then there there are the hypnotic visuals that open the subconscious pathway for the ideas both subliminally and not-so-subliminally embedded in the unseen main announcers' blather and tone. (and there is a BOATLOAD of that...it's palpable) Just to name the obvious. Same goes for all the vocals, really - all the ideas in the "lyrics". Programming.
