Skull on Mars or skullduggery?

Maybe it belongs to "tickle me" forum, or it can be another "face on Mars". Cass once reffered to "face on Mars" as an atlantean piece of work. Don't have access to actual transcripts.
What do you think?
This quote is from new scientist blog:

The "face on Mars" has been thoroughly debunked, proving to be nothing more than an eroded hilltop. But apparently there is now also a "humanoid skull" on Mars.

The skull-like rock appears on a website devoted to images of Mars that are supposed to show evidence of things like forests and road networks. The skull image is identified on the website as being taken by the Spirit rover. The original Spirit image on NASA's site is here (http://marsrover.nasa.gov/gallery/all/2/p/513/2P171912249EFFAAL4P2425R1M1.HTML).

To me it looks more like a stormtrooper's helmet from Star Wars. But then, that was supposed to be in a galaxy far, far away.

I don't believe this is an actual skull any more than I believe the "face on Mars" is a monument built by aliens. But it's still fun to look at the pictures.
Here two additional pictures from russian site:

Hi Keit,

I agree with you about the skull, it is probably just an illusion. I found this one that has not been altered. I beleive it came from the Global Mars Surveyor, but can't be for sure. I was reveiwing all the mars photos at one of the NASA sites and that was the one I think it came from. It seems to be more attune to our thinking, doesn't it?
