Officials of the Humanitarian Camp Management in Idlib affiliated with the Al-Nusra Front (currently known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham), are involved in corruption, bribery and theft of UN aid, according to private sources. This situation undermines the humanitarian situation and further and increases the suffering of displaced civilians.

The sources said that the Al-Nusra-run Camp Administration is the main distributor of relief aid to camps. It demands from officials from local councils to hand over a part of the aid to Al-Nusra officials.

In particular, sources revealed that camps in the town of Mashhad Rouheen affiliated in the area of Deir Hassan north of Idlib, recently received an aid in the form of financial vouchers ($150 each). The head of the local council in the city of Maarat al-Nu`man, which includes Deir Hassan , had to pay $30 for each voucher to Al-Nusra.

Camps involved in these corruption schemes receive continuous relief support, while neighboring camps live in difficult humanitarian conditions. People lack even minimal necessities of life such as water and bread.

There are public commercial stores that sell UN aid and relief aid in Idlib. Sources confirmed that the aid trade has become a permanent source of revenue for the Al-Nusra terrorist group, amid the continued suffering of displaced civilians in camps and their denial of access to any real assistance.

Clearly, Bush stands out when it comes to smarts & intellectualism..! (WINK) A nice aspiring message though too bad millions of Iraqis, Libyans, Afghans, Somalis, & Syrians are not here with us to hear it.

The US occupation forces have begun to build a new military base in the Hasaka. - 28 January, 2021

Hasaka, SANA-The US occupation forces began on Thursday establishing a new base in al-Yaroubia area in Hasaka eastern countryside, bringing in logistic materials and military equipment, according to local sources.
The sources said that the US occupation forces brought in 10 military personnel carriers to al-Malikiyah city in northeast of Hasaka to move them to al-Yaroubia area in Hasaka eastern countryside adjacent to the Iraqi borders, where the occupation began to establish a new military base for its forces near Tal Alou, northwest of al-Yaroubia.

I don't think we're seeing a significant development here. Ten armored personnel carriers may be able to move 100 troops. Building a new base in Eastern Syria, adjacent to the Iraqi border could be a routine operation. How many other US bases are there in Eastern Syria? 20, 30... ?

The local sources are obviously right in watching the occupants' every move but I can see no indication that there might be a connection toward any offensive against the Syrian side.

I hope that you're right. But, with Biden and his crew of warwhores, I think that it's best to wait and see.

Looking at the map on Wikipedia we can see that the town of Al-Yaarubiyah which is said to be the newest US base in occupied Syria is actually the farthest point from any line of confrontation with the Syrian forces.

My intent for reacting to the post above was actually to try to find out whether this minor move could have been initiated by the Biden people or was just an action by the military itself.

According to the theory that the US military will be keeping their oaths to defend the constitution and not let an unconstitutional office holder intervene in military affairs, I'm still waiting for any hints that Biden has initiated anything within the realm of the military.
