My question is, have a piece of poetry that would well synchronize with the link below. At the moment it is a ‘Word’ file with embedded pictures; what are the options? The text itself can be copied and pasted as per usual but the pictures are not in a format that can be uploaded to a site then url’ed within.

Thanks :)

Hi Parallax,

You can easily convert the images from their current format to a web readable format, either a .gif or a .jpg with software already on your system if it is a MS Windows operating system.

In Windows, find an application I think is called Paint, open the image file and then "save as" either .jpg (if it is a photo) or .gif.

You might be able to resize the image in the same application if it is too large.

As well, there are several freeware, shareware and OpenSource image and graphic editing programs available for download from the Internet.

And finally, there are a few online image converter tools available. A quick Google search using the search terms "online image converter"+".gif"+".jpg" yielded a few. I haven't tried any of them, but these look interesting:

- CoolUtil's Online Image Converter (_http://www.coolutils.com/Online-Image-Converter.php)

- Picture Resize's Free Online Images Converter (_http://www.pictureresize.org/online-images-converter.html)

I hope this helps.

Ok Gonzo, many thanks. :)

Worked as exactly as you said.

So I now have the document text that I could past and have each picture in jpg format that can then be uploaded to a site, then where the pictures should go in the text post, place them with a
as is usually done. To avoid this, do you know of a site that you can just upload a 'Word' type document with the embedded pictures and then just reference/post it with the sites provided url that people can just click on without going through the prior process?

Hope this makes sense. :umm:
