Anyone find it curious just how many of the following disaster-related topics that have come up in the press the last few days?

There's been a lot of renewed focus on N. Korea, and of course Iran the last few days. A lot of strange earthquake activity too (my favorite is the numerous earthquakes happening off the Rat Islands in Alaska. Meteor sightings, heightened volcanic activity, wildfires.... raise your hand if you think the PTB might have a heads up on an incoming meteor blast or something, that they can conveniently blame on <insert country from "axis of evil"> while eliminating a big chunk of the population. <shudder>

It's certainly possible. They do tend to publicize what they feel will most serve their purposes at the time, if the recent past has anything to teach us, which, in my opinion, it most certainly does.

It's summertime and if you study the American mainstream media, you'll notice that they tend to report on these things during summertime. It's also election year, so you can look forward to reports on "terrorism" and how a particular political party is better to protect Americans from the vile terrorists.

Interesting....so you're saying that they don't report on 'these things' if it is not summer time. Do you have some data to back this up? If there is a link or a study done on this, I'd appreciate it, since if this is indeed the case, I find that very odd.

The only instance I know is last summer, when Congress wasn't in session and (I think it was Cheney) tried to declare a state of emergency in the probably case of an homland terrorist attack. I guess the motive was that he would override Congress and set up martial law. I know of no other instance of this, however, and see no reason to generalize it. What works once may not work again.

The Discovery Channel was running a show about CIA mind control experiments today, leaning towards debunking but not entirely. Greenbaum anyone?
Also interesting to see Reumsfeld's and Cheney's names on some of the documents.
