So I found this old poem of mine, written about ten years ago. it's not about viruses and variants and waxes... It's just good ol' fashioned heartbreak.
Dropping the rock down the well
Deep Cold Darkness
My heart beat softly, the clock stops
Dropping the rock down the well
I picked you out of the million
I decided about your fate
Sinking into the darkness forever
Lazy summer afternoon, silent hot air
Satisfied peace shackle your soul
Can’t resist anymore
Gently fiddle under my finger
Time vanishes in the inevitable
My heart stops, the clock beat softly
Dropping the rock down the well
I have power over you, give and take
You have gone and I’m sinking
Deep Cold Darkness
Numb Empty space
I give, you take and take and take
You have power over me
I see your last smile faintly
Dropping the rock down the well
Dropping the rock down the well
Deep Cold Darkness
My heart beat softly, the clock stops
Dropping the rock down the well
I picked you out of the million
I decided about your fate
Sinking into the darkness forever
Lazy summer afternoon, silent hot air
Satisfied peace shackle your soul
Can’t resist anymore
Gently fiddle under my finger
Time vanishes in the inevitable
My heart stops, the clock beat softly
Dropping the rock down the well
I have power over you, give and take
You have gone and I’m sinking
Deep Cold Darkness
Numb Empty space
I give, you take and take and take
You have power over me
I see your last smile faintly
Dropping the rock down the well
