There's no recent reports of earthquake activity in South Australia, however these pictures don't make sense. A car and a B-Double have collided on the Sturt Highway with the B-Double catching fire.

There have been plenty of accidents where cars and trucks have caught fire, but I've never seen the extent of damage to the road as what is depicted here. My first thought was that maybe the B-Double was a fuel carrier, but it looks more like a grain carrier. Looks like something strange has gone on.

Full story here.

Here is a video with lots of aerial views. I first thought maybe the water flowing beneath could have cause the pipes and street to collapse, *causing* the accident. But at the end they say that diesel from the crashed truck had flown down into the pipes "melting the street from below".
