100+ mph winds last night. Most of the city without electricity/land lines - many without cell service. Big old trees down all over town. Streets impassable from trees and downed power lines... fires too. Lots of residential damage. Sounds like a tornado, but seems to have been just sustained extremely high winds, although tornadoes were spotted in and around neighboring towns.
Here is the back of a friends apartment building where a section of brick wall in the parking garage was blown in.
Another friend who is in charge of maintenance for a large office building reported that 3 - 17 foot/floor to ceiling glass panels on the front of the building were blown in, along with 5 other smaller panels. A wild night of weather in Oklahoma. The insurers have their work cut out for them.
I am worried sick because I cannot access my daughter. She apparently has no power, land line or cell service.
