Would this be any info.

Well yes, although when I made the post I was more thinking along the lines of their regular rhetoric:

• Demonization of Islamic countries
• Global warming
• Al Qaeda
• Terrorism
• Israeli occupation and terrorism/war crimes

That kind of thing, but any propaganda yes.

Last night I was reading a piece about the possibility of a terror strike during the FIFA Soccer World Cup being staged in South Africa in 5 months time.

Up to now the only major focus was safeguarding foreign nationals against crime, but after the Togo football team came under attack during the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, they are now ‘concerned’ about more than just crime, saying because of Al Qaeda’s difficulty in striking against America on American soil, they might see the Soccer World Cup as an opportunity to inflict damage by means of maybe targeting the American football team or American nationals during the World Cup.

I don’t know I’m just seeing this ‘terrorism’ rhetoric being stepped up lately in relation to the World Cup.

First this ‘happened’:

Plot to bomb US buildings, disrupt World Cup

US embassy evacuated

We've been relatively ‘under the radar’ in terms of their terrorism propaganda, but now it looks like they’re using the World Cup just to keep the ‘party line’ alive.

After the attack on the Togo football team, this article appeared:

Africa is not one country: US

So last night I read this article (or more appropriately, propaganda piece):

How vulnerable is South Africa’s soccer World Cup to a major terrorist attack?

I don’t know. I hope they're not planning on staging a false flag during the World Cup or something.

Re: How vulnerable is South Africa’s soccer World Cup to a major terrorist attac

I certainly wouldn't put it past them if it was deemed worthwhile to further their "interests". Their "interests" being to terrorize the global population and corral us all into a very small and limited psychological space. Thankfully, from now on, when we see it happen, we know who is responsible.

"Thanks" E for the direction of that sign post up ahead............... :cool2: As of lately the news becomes more and more like the Twilight Zone!

I was recently thinking about something being orchestrated around Brazil as a sort of derailment of the Olympic Games...

Well, that's the one thing on my mind...

The other thing on my mind is at the moment we have 10 000 Zimbabweans streaming across the border a week, and I heard a little birdie whistle that Jacob Zuma asked them to at least behave themselves until the soccer. They say after the soccer they're going to finish the 'makwerekwere' - unwanted foreigners - off, so expect another outbreak of xenophobia after the soccer.

Re: How vulnerable is South Africa’s soccer World Cup to a major terrorist attac

With all the info on SOTT about how security firms seems to be a major tool in organising false flag attacks, it might be interesting to have a look who is going to handle security during the games in order to establish how vulnerable the event may be.

Calif. earthquake's and or terror. You name it from the carnival of past practices... Each and every one has practiced for such activity for posssible mass casualty events. Hi M.A.O,

A fair percentage of the forum members are not US citizens so please make the effort to write fully state and city names.

2010 FIFA World Cup: Al-Qaeda a Threat To the World Cup

8 April 2010

The World Cup has been specifically targeted by the terrorist group referred to by the Western world as Al-Qaeda, according to media sources around the world.

"How amazing could the match between the United States and England be if, during a live broadcast with a stadium packed with spectators, the sound of an explosion rumbles through the stands, the whole stadium is turned upside down, and the number of dead bodies are in their dozens and hundreds, God willing," reads a statement the group published in a recent issue of the online magazine Mushtaqun Lel Jannah (Longing to Paradise) and reproduced by U.S. news source CBS .

The terrorist faction threatens to use explosives that would be undetectable for the security forces in South Africa. The list of national teams targeted include the United States, England, France, Germany and Italy, countries accused of being part of a "Zionist Crusade" against Islam.

Whilst some question the validity of a single organised Islamic terrorist cell that refers to itself as "Al-Qaeda", any and all threats to the safety and security of players and fans must be taken with all seriousness.

South Africa announced last October that its security forces had foiled an Al-Qaeda plot to carry out a terrorist attack during the 2010 World Cup. According to reports published then, South Africa's National Intelligence Agency, senior police forces, and American agents jointly conducted the operation, leading to the arrest of a number of suspects linked to the group in Somalia and Mozambique working on a plot to carry out bomb attacks during the games.

This should come as a blow to FIFA, with questions already being raised about how to beef up security after Adebayor' Togo got shot while en route to the African Cup of Nations in Angola earlier this year. It's really going to be hard to combat something like this; let's hope for the best.

With the latest ‘Al Qaeda terror threat’ (sic) to the world cup being trumpeted from the rooftops here in South Africa, I thought I’d see if I can find some Israeli security firms involved in world cup ‘security’.

I found some interesting items...and then some...

World Cup 2010 South Africa Raising Alarming Security Questions

World Cup 2010 South Africa Raising Alarming Security Questions

11 October 2009

With the 2010 World Cup fast approaching, government in South Africa is frantically trying to secure cities like Johannesburg in preparation for the arrival of the World Cup and its fans. With over 50 homicides a day, gunpoint car jackings, and other forms of crime, the government is facing a big task in order to properly prepare for the masses. That’s why they’re calling in outside help in the form of an Israeli security expert.

South Africa-born Israeli security expert Marc Kahlberg was hired by the South Africa government to provide insight on policing how-to and to help prepare security for the World Cup. Kahlberg’s credentials include a stint in the South Africa military before becoming and Israeli Police officer and head of the Netanya Tourist police during Palestine’s 2002 suicide-bombing campaign.

“The police in South Africa are working hard,” Kahlberg said. “Over 50,000 cops have been directed to secure the World Cup - that’s thousands more than the sum total of Israel’s entire police force. There is money being invested in training new manpower, technology and a very professional and dedicated command level. [size=12pt]It will take a generation of education to reduce the violent crime.”

The government plans to secure particular areas and outline them as “tourist safe” areas of visit. Other defense firms have pitched into the security effort as well including Bet Alfa Technologies and Elbit Systems Ltd. Regardless of their efforts, this is a huge undertaking and tourists should be particularly careful when visiting South Africa.

Israeli firms to play key role in South African World Cup security

Israeli firms to play key role in South African World Cup security

25 February 2010

Over 30 Israeli companies are set to help South Africa secure this summer's Soccer World Cup, via hi-tech security products ranging from rocket-proof shields to cameras that can climb up poles and broadcast panoramic pictures to control centers.

"Israeli companies are already playing a huge role in South Africa," Marc Kahlberg, managing director of M.K. International Security Consulting, which represents several of the companies, said on Wednesday.

"They will help secure the stadiums, airport and parking lots, and their products will be used by private security firms and government in South Africa," Kahlberg said.

"One example is the Israeli ODF Electronics company, which makes tactical camera systems for government agencies [that] will protect the citizens of South Africa and the visitors to the World Cup," he said.

The tactical systems include a miniature robot with several cameras, that can move around an area and send back live footage.

"Another company, which cannot be named, deals with video motion detection, which automatically identifies unusual or suspicious activities, and alert its operator," said Kahlberg.

He noted that "South Africa has a high homicide rate, so it is used to violent crime. But these measures are designed to cope with the threat of terrorism. While there is no terrorism threat against South Africa, there is a threat against some of the visiting teams that have qualified [for] the World Cup."

A third type of camera, made by the Sherpa company and described by Kahlberg as a joint British-Israeli effort, can rapidly climb poles and send live images to a control center.

"This saves the need to set up hundreds of cameras on the scene. Within 10 minutes, the camera is up and broadcasting," he said.

In addition, a lightweight rocket- and bullet-proof material, developed jointly by US and Israeli engineers, will be installed at soccer stadiums to protect VIPs, and an Israeli-made water cannon will be available to security personnel so they can deploy non- lethal crowd-control means.

Kahlberg said the fruitful trade was underpinned by a relationship that began in 2007 between his own company; former South African ambassador to Israel Fumi Gjabi, a former general in the South African Defense Force; and Moshe Leder, head of Global Business Development for the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, as well as Israel's Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry.

OR Tambo (Johannesburg International Airport) security vulnerable

OR Tambo (Johannesburg International Airport) security vulnerable

8 March 2010

The Media Review Network (MRN) has expressed grave concerns about the security at OR Tambo airport, following claims that the Johannesburg airport was used as an escape route for Mossad assassins who on January 20 were responsible for the murder of Hamas member, Mahmoud Mabhouh in the UAE. Speaking to VOC on Monday morning, chairman of MRN, Iqbal Jassat, said its biggest concern was the way in which South African authorities have been deceived and security at a central entry point to the country was being manipulated by the Israeli secret service, Shin Bet, operating under the guise of El Al security personnel.

Security manipulation

"We are gravely concerned about this issue which emanates from the fact that El Al has been deceiving South African authorities in as much as they have been able to manipulate security at OR Tambo. A few months ago it was uncovered that El Al's security operatives are directly connected to Shin Bet. In fact, they are Shin Bet and they abuse the facility provided by the host country to airlines. They have deceived our authorities to the point that these operatives have been given diplomatic passports and immunity and may carry licenses fire arms," Jassat told VOC's Breakfast Beat.

Of particular concern was the fact that an Israeli national, Yossi Tabul (49), who is a former head of El Al's security in SA, now serves as security advisor to the Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), Jassat said. He added that it was therefore understandable that CCTV footage of the arrival of the assassins had gone missing.

According to the Saturday Star, Dubai officials had asked OR Tambo for CCTV footage of the group's arrival, but SA police went to collect the films they were forced to leave empty-handed, despite the fact that film recorded on the airport's 2,000 surveillance cameras is normally kept for 30 days. The Mossad agents are said to have traveled through Johannesburg on El Al by 21 January, a day after the Mabhouh's assassination.

Action

He said while the South African mainstream media has been largely quiet about this issue, the matter has been drawn into the open now. MRN and the Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) last year took the matter up with various tiers of government and according to Jassat, an announcement is expected to be made soon.

Following an expose on M-Net's Carte Blanche, late last year about Israeli operatives at OR Tambo, El Al had been given until 28 February to clean up its act. This deadline has seemingly been ignored. Shortly after the expose, two El Al security operatives were expelled from SA - a claim the airline denied - and the SA government withdrew diplomatic immunity to El Al operatives.

"I believe that a decision on El Al - for them to make the required changes - is now imminent. The assistance by the Israeli government, its arrangement with host countries for El Al operatives are both a violation of our Constitution and international law. South African authorities have quite correctly realized that this is a huge infringement and have given Israel an ultimatum on this score. They cannot allow foreign agents to act above the law at an international airport. We expect this to come to a head quite soon."

Vulnerable

Jassat said while security at OR Tambo was fairly credible, this incident once again demonstrated that it was vulnerable to manipulation by foreign agents. "This raises serious questions not only about who is really in charge at OR Tambo, but also how we have not been able to assist in a high profiled matter in which European countries have been co operating."

This was ironic given the fact that earlier this year they had co-operated fully with Interpol, leading to the arrest of Islam Channel CEO, Muhamad Harrath at OR Tambo. Harrath was later released. Jassat expressed the hope this expose would cause SA authorities to review security arrangements at the biggest South African airport in order to ascertain how the assassins had entered SA, facilitated by El Al.

"We believe that for as long as we have parallel security detail at OR Tambo who are able to operate without detection outside the law, with ability to abuse, manipulate and deceive - including our police and security clusters - then we have a huge problem with security at OR Tambo." VOC

The follow up to the Carte Blanche expose.

No change at El Al

22 March 2010

Despite public exposure and an uproar over the secret activities of the Israeli secret service at South Africa's biggest international airport, OR Tambo, last year, nothing has changed for El Al who had ignored a deadline given by the South African government to clean up its act. That is according to Iqbal Jassat, chairman of the Media Review Network who stated that "Until South African authorities reveal full details of the negotiations and its outcome, it appears that at OR Tambo, its business as usual for El Al."

In an opinion piece published this weekend, Jassat said what was most damning for South Africa, was that El Al and OR Tambo "symbolize the shaky grounds of a legacy inherited from the ghostly past of apartheid". "El Al is Israel's national airline. OR Tambo is South Africa's international airport in Johannesburg, previously known as Jan Smuts. It is here that until recently most people in Nelson Mandela's beloved ‘Rainbow' country remained blissfully ignorant of cloak and dagger operations all under the guise of ‘security'," Jassat wrote.

Courageous investigation

According to him, it took great courage for a team of investigative journalists from M-Net's Carte Blanche to finally lift the veil that hid from public scrutiny "acts of brazen violations by a foreign country with scant regard for the host country's sovereignty".

"This here is a secret service operating above the law in South Africa," is the claim by Jonathan Garb, a former employee of EL AL. He told Carte Blanche last year how the Israeli airline's security employees were the clandestine Israeli Security Agency operating at OR Tambo International in breach of South African laws and the constitution.

Garb, who claims that he was trained by the Israeli Special Forces, also revealed that non-Jewish passengers, specifically ‘black' and Muslims, were profiled and given a tougher time by Israeli foreign agents known as Shin Beth. "We pull the wool over everyone's eyes. We do exactly as we want - the local authorities do not know what we are doing."

According to Carte Blanche's Bongani Bingwa, there was a deafening silence from South African authorities following their shocking exposure, until it became clear "they had been investigating our allegations and had found that everything we had reported was true".

"It's incredible that local authorities were unaware that Israeli Shin Beth agents were posing an enormous threat to South Africa's national security at a key point. The department of International Relations' Saul Molobi made this admission when he complimented Carte Blanche for their investigation. "I think that came in handy for the country and for the national security of our state," he said.

Diplomatic immunity

Jassat said the most troubling aspect of the investigation revealed that Israeli agents were carrying diplomatic passports and weapons licensed to the Israeli embassy. "These facts encapsulate a key question that South African authorities have thus far failed to answer: Why did a foreign intelligence agency operate with impunity on sovereign soil?

Additional questions that beg answers are how long has this been going on and did it arise from any secret agreement that the Israeli regime claims in its defense of these blatant violations?

"If so, was any dubious ‘agreement' struck between Israel and South Africa post-'94? Or are the Israelis relying on questionable shady deals reminiscent of a host of immoral ties between them and the Apartheid regime? Equally intriguing is the current ‘behind-the-scenes' negotiations that in the absence of transparency have the potential to retain speculation about what indeed is being ‘covered up'."

Jassat reported that South African authorities remain tight-lipped on the issue while the Israelis have publicly demanded that the security status quo remain unchanged. This, he believes allows Israel to have their intelligence agents continue to masquerade as El Al employees, with full diplomatic immunity.

A follow up report by Carte Blanche has revealed that despite El Al being given until the end of February to ‘clean up their act' - this deadline has now passed without comment from South African authorities. The Shin Beth are still sending agents to head up El Al security. Avi Katz whose history shows he was involved in clandestine intelligence operations, counter terrorism and counter espionage activities, is the current security manager at the airline, Jassat stated.

According to him, reliable sources point to the threat of closure of El Al's South African route as a core issue that has bedeviled the current stand off between the countries. In January El Al warned the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that the route would close if their staff were not provided with diplomatic passports.

"What it implies is that Israel requires South Africa to abandon or violate the Vienna Convention governing diplomatic protocol. If South Africa accedes to these demands by allowing armed foreign agents access to diplomatic immunity and permits them to operate at OR Tambo in violation of its own constitution and international laws, El Al will continue its route," Jassat said, urging the SA government to give full disclosure of the negotiations and its outcome. World Cup: Venue for False Flag Terror?

World Cup: Venue for False Flag Terror?

12 April 2010

The World Cup 2010 provides a perfect platform for "academics" and the so called "Islamic Terror Experts" of the world to manufacture "extremists" and "terrorists" who are about to destroy South Africa's 2010 dreams. These "academics" are not on some benevolent mission to protect the international soccer fraternity as well as the South African soccer lovers against acts of terror, planned, plotted and perpetrated by so-called "Muslim" fanatics in South Africa.

These self-professed "experts" must realise that this world may seem chaotic, but it is rational. It is their responsibility to narrate and contextualise with an independent and critical eye and not merely reiterate what is a figment of some ones imaginations.

This does not satisfy the designs of those who wish to further enhance the psychology of Islamophobia and the imaginary presence of Muslim terror groups in our country. Their mission is to manufacture an opinion; enforce it on the silent majority who will then submit to the propaganda process of the efficient and ever-present mass media.

So much so that, the illegal wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine, and the killings of Muslims in Kashmir, Pakistan, Chechnya and Somalia will remain mere optical illusions. In contrast to this media silence of the ongoing killings in these countries, the only constant is 9/11(twin towers), 7/7 (London bombings) and 26/11 (Mumbai attacks) and the weapons of mass destruction.

Terror experts

Pre 1998, few people had heard of Osama Bin Laden or Al-Qaeda. Post 9/11, everyone wanted to know about Al-Qaeda. A window of opportunity opened up for "terror experts" who laid claims to specialised knowledge in this study. Subsequently, these "terror experts" became "expert witnesses" in terror trials around the world. This introduced the "terror industry" in which governments poured millions of dollars. The industry became a very a lucrative one indeed.

"Expert" academics began mushrooming globally. Doubts have been cast about the meteoric rise to prominence of some of these "terror experts." The independence of these academics is also under scrutiny because many of them who appeared for the prosecution in terror trials have been associated with right wing or pro Zionists organizations.

These "experts" must provide evidence that is objective and factually correct. They should be governed by professionalism and scientific neutrality. In the absence of this it is fair to assume that their research will be regarded at best as research - led opinion. This will not meet the standard of evidence required in any court of law. Our recent experience of the claims generated by Hussein Solomon is a classic illustration of the point.

Just as there are embedded journalists, there are embedded academics. They serve governments or international organisations & have contacts that provide them with open sourced information. Fortunately it has been extensively documented that these embedded academics have as their only mission the pursuance of illegitimate policies spawned by the discredited war on terror. Thus we find the existence of cabals known as neocons linked to Zionism and western imperialism. This must cast a doubt on their independence.

Terror attacks

In view of the above, the 2010 Soccer World Cup is faced with a distinct possibility of a false flag terror attack. A careful analysis of the current international political circumstances shows that it remains explosive and volatile. After the 9/11 attacks, the world has been pushed into a state of perpetual warfare in the guise of fighting global terror, in a war without borders and is timeless. The official version of the 9/11 attacks have been widely discredited to the extent that some analysts believe that it was the ideal pretext to the global war on terror.

Seeing that the international political situation is perched on a powder keg, the 2010 FIFA World Cup may just be the catalyst required by these neocon-types to further bolster the committed agenda of the super powers towards global hegemony by deliberately setting up false flag terror attacks.

The South African Government should anticipate and neutralise these nefarious designs. Given the weaknesses at O. R. Tambo International Airport resulting from the entrenchment of Israeli Shin Bet agents, if and when these attacks do happen, then to blame it on intelligence failure, will not be good enough. The architects of world domination and imperialism are committed to an agenda of global superiority.

Therefore, the South African security cluster should be ever vigilant and determined to protect our young democracy. We must hold onto our values of equality, anti-colonialism and third world solidarity. The consequences of the failure to do so are far too great and must be averted at all costs.

The groundwork is being prepared in anticipation of such a false flag terror attack by these "experts" when anti-Muslim propaganda such as "Mosques posing as fronts for terror groups and Muslim homes providing safe havens for terror cells" begin to flow from their venomous pens. A false flag terror attack must surely send cold shivers down the spine of all South Africans.

At the 7th International Conference of the International Institute for 'Counter Terrorism' in Herzliya, Israel on 10 September 2007, Professor Hussein Solomon made the following remarks:

SA Muslim community vilified in presentation at counter-terrorism conference

• South African Muslim organizations, mosques and the Muslim media were psychologically preparing local Muslims for terrorism;

• military training is occurring at various South African Muslim high schools;

Muslims were a potential threat to the 2010 World Cup;

• South African madressahs (religious schools) were a breeding ground for terrorism;

It will be interesting to see if anything 'happens' (is made to happen). Certainly looks like they've laid the groundwork - but 'they' spend a LOT of time, all over the globe, laying a lot of ground work. Good to have things documented to check back on though, if there is any 'activity'. As always, the question comes down to 'who benefits' if something does happen?

Yeah, the El Al thing is quite significant I think. Missed that last year, only discovered it tonight. 'Joburg International Airport', which is now called OR Tambo, is also a major hub for drug and human trafficking...

From the linked article:

All documented cases are women trafficked for both sexual and labour exploitation and the main point of entry of this trafficking stream is OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. [...]

Trafficking of South Africans out of their country is less of a problem, but eight cases were identified between January 2004 and January 2008.

Destination countries included Ireland, Zimbabwe, Israel, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Macau. In all cases, the victims were women trafficked for either sexual and labour exploitation or forced marriage.
