Hey all - long time loyal SOTT reader, first time posting here in the forums however.
Given that a bulk of the work on this collection of sites deals with both mysticism (as in becoming aware of the ultimate reality) and specific scientific fields such as quantum mechanics - I am surprised to find no dialogue here covering the works of Michael Talbot ('53-'92), author of "The Holographic Universe". Are his theories inconsistent with the Cassiopaea/Wave research / generally dismissed in these circles, or perhaps only a few have heard of it in the first place?
The book, a fantasic read btw, reviews the work of several independent researchers from different fields (from neurophysiology to physics) coming to a similar conclussion that the universe acts as a complex frequency domain - a massive hologram if you will - which we ourselves interpret and construct a "hard reality" around. Talbot does dive briefly into topics around PSI, telepathy, out-of-body experiences - however, this latest time I find myself going through the piece, what really struck me was that the theory actually goes a long way to explain how the mechanism of channeling with the "We From the Future" might be possible, and how preparation for a future Wave event is akin to focusing your hologram laser - or in other words increasing your ability to pick up on the interference patterns around us. I think it even answers why if people seek to do this as a group, it will be easier on them. Anyways, just felt compelled to post here and see if others were interested in the topic because for me it has made all lot of the other discussion here easier to digest.
