Not sure if this report belongs here. If not a ghoul or ghost the photo could depict an ultra terrestrial, dimensional window faller or plain old hoaxer. :/ Certainly spooky looking whatever it is.

What IS that? 'Forest ghoul' caught on camera in dead of night by a deer hunter

there's also this... _http://io9.com/5710832/scariest-thing-youll-see-all-day-what-is-this-mutant-man-monster?skyline=true&s=i

which kinda suggests hoax cuz the story is different from the above article.

Deer stand camera snaps bizarre animal

BERWICK, Louisiana (WVLA) - A deer hunter captures a spooky image wandering through the Louisiana woods at night.

A hunter near Baton Rouge says he found this freaky photo on his deer stand camera.

The hunting camera was broken but the memory card was still there and so was this bizarre image.

It looks like a cross between a human and an animal, with long slender appendages and glowing eyes.

The hunter says he just hopes it's a vegetarian, if he runs into it in the woods again.

Some say it's a hoax because they have found the same picture with two different dates about a week apart.

But whether you believe its real or not, it's certainly an eerie image.

BERWICK, La (NBC33) An NBC 33 viewer claims to have caught an "alien-looking thing" on a deer cam. He chooses to remain anonymous but says the pic was taken on a reserve in Berwick near Morgan City. The viewer says the cam itself was busted when it was found, but the SIM card was still in it and so was this image:

The viewer claims this is NOT a hoax. NBC 33's Tyler Gamble finds answers today. Watch NBC 33 News at 5 to see what he can find out.

Re: Eerie image captured in woods

Now THAT is totally creepy!

Re: Eerie image captured in woods

well it appears to be toothless so not to worry :)
although it is emaciated so it must be very hungry

now joking aside this is not a four legged creature as the femoral bones are too long.

reminds me a lot of fallen angel from Catalunya only without wings.

maybe this should be merged with similar thread on cryptozoology

Looks like our very own Mac McCoy might have uncovered the mystery. He found another photo with a different time stamp 11/30/10 featuring the same creature in the same pose. The corner of the photo also features a company name in the bottom left hand corner "Wildgame Innovations"

Some research into the company reveals it is a hunting site that specializes in these types of cameras. It is possible that the company is using this humanoid to drum up business for their cameras.

Hard to say, could be a viral-campaign but I could not find any trace of monsters or anything like that on their site. The last image also looks manipulated as the light and borders of the 'monster' is of. The first pictures looks more untouched, light and shadows, background-foreground blend better but is very low-res so its hard to tell.

edit: This seems to be the origin, did not read the whole thread but might later. Will post more then.

Very freaky trail cam picture.... dont know what to think..?

Don't know what to think about this one fellers.... Went and checked my camera today and this is what it had on it.... The ground directly in front of my tree was completely tore up, the trail cam had been torn off the tree, straps were popped and everything. Camera was laying face down about 10 ft. from the tree it was attached too. Bark was knocked off the tree where the camera had been, like something had knocked it off while trying to twist camera off the tree. This was the only picture I got of "it" as I had it set on a 2 minute timer. The first picture is of "it", and the second is a picture from a lil while ago of the same spot, just for reference. Checking this right at dusk with a 3/4 mile walk out ahead of you will scare a feller..... When I saw it, my blood ran cold. Still gives me shivers.... What do you guys think??

It looks creepy.

Maybe it crawls on it's legs, cause it likes to examine the camera and maybe destroyed it afterwards.

There are similarities, maybe in some weeks we know more when additional data comes up, if it is a fake or not.

*picture*

It looks even more terrifying.

***edit***

The date prints are looking similar (style), unfortunately the first image looks like if it was photographed from a monitor (angle, everything is blurred) and I wonder why there is no original image available, when the memory card survived. The other image posted by Grim, looks then in contrast perfect, but with a different date.

for me it's fake.

Do you have any reason to think so?

first reason, the different dates on the photos.
second reason, why does only this photo exist where it looks straight into the camera?
third reason, because it is hard to proof that such photos are real it's better too stay very critical and assume that it is fake otherwise you fall into wishfull thinking.

Logically speaking, without evidence of any kind, one assumes nothing. If there is evidence that it is fake so it is fake, if there is evidence that it is genuine so it is genuine. Without any evidence, it is just a funny picture in the internet.

Exactly. My approach is "that's curious and interesting... let me gather more info if possible..."

yes a assumption in any direction could be false, if you don't have any "good data" to support the truth.
so maybe I'm wrong?!
