My profile seems to be broken. Despite being a FOTCM member the logo disappeared from my profile banner and I do not have access to the private forum.

I don't think it's quite like an excommunication, I think it's your activity being so scarce that access is withdrawn as it isn't clear whether you wish to remain or not, as an interest isn't really evident.

If I understand correctly, are you asking whether you are still a FOTCM member? The answer is yes. So you are not excommunicated.
Access to the private board however is given only to members who are active participants and show commitment to doing the Work, help in our projects and Serve Others. If you had access to the board before but you don't have it now, this means that you stopped participating.
