deleting the first post in the thread

Is there a possibility to disable function of deleting the first post of the thread;
as in such a way the whole disscussion which follows is deleted too.
I'm referring to the topic 'LKJ translations in ukrainian' in Bloggs section posted by Promonaut which is not accessible any longer.
 
This function is not supposed to be available to anyone but moderators and admins. I'll try to find out what happened.
 
Hah! I knew i saw this name around here, but could not find the thread either.

So this person promonaut, posted this comment in my blog under a post titled pathocracy (everything written in greek there btw)

Pantokratia is danger too when someone said about own blog in ukrainian a la “signs of the times� and administrators from signs-of-the-times.org without understanding make “ban� new user posts on that site..

I thought i'd post it here before i delete it. I wonder if he goes around the net "complaining" about sott forum. Good thing that he makes no sense ;)
 
Deleting a Post

Hello!

I'm sorry to bother you in this section again! I was trying to edit quotation boxes in a thread and instead of posting an edited version of the same post, I posted a new post - which is pretty much the same as the one I was editing but it shows as one big quote.

I searched through the forum to see if someone had this issue before and the only thread about this was this one: http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,1892.msg10484.html#msg10484 and it has no replies :(

I don't want to make mess on here, is there any way to delete the post? Somehow I can't see a functionality that allows me to do it. It's this post: http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,42931.msg694026.html#msg694026

You've got 15 minutes to change your post, (the last) .
Or just send a message (report) to moderator. :)

Thank you casper, somehow I can see I can modify it but there's no option to delete it :scared: Maybe because it isn't my last post. I posted it and then came here to ask how to delete it :(

Lovely, thank you Casper! It makes perfect sense to disable that option actually, especially on a forum like this.

I'll report my freestyle creativity to moderators then :halo:
