"Deadlines are important"

The Force is Strong With This One
In a recent story on the medicare changes that CNN ran, located at:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/05/09/bush.ap/index.html

Bush says:

"Deadlines are important,"
"Deadlines help people understand there's finality and people need to get after it."

However in an earlier story that the The Chicago Tribune ran, located at: http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2006/05/bush_brothers_f.html

It reads:

That still leaves about 5.7 million seniors to enroll before a fast-approaching May 15 deadline - though the White House says that deadline can be extended for low-income seniors who have not signed up.

And what about the Iraq war deadline.......

Remember "Deadlines are important," "Deadlines help people understand there's finality and people need to get after it."

Total contradiction!!!

Maybe he meant "deathlines". Yes of course, considering the spelling skill of his royal Bushcher... deathlines, that must have been it. "Deathlines help people understand there's finality."
