Hi
I wish to try and compile a list of active musicians and artists who are seeing what is happening at this moment on the planet. What they are saying, where they are saying it and so on. Its the multi millionaire status ones I would like to know about.

We allready know of the Guess why I got a knighthood Geldoff, and Bonos of this world, telling artists what they can and cant say at the G8 farce. Also of Coldplays singer turning down an invitation to visit Tony Blair because he didnt want to upset his fans, although he thinks psycho Blair is a cool guy.

So basically im after a list of for and against the global murderous agenda. Thanks in Advance.

New song here, not the greatest of production and drums are a little repetetive. Its called

Their 4th Dimensional

THEIR 4th DIMENSIONAL
----------------------------

oh no
round and round we go
another attempt to win a prize

black holes
can never get enough
same rule,here applies

oh no
their 4th dimensional
they feed on fear
and were there food

oh no
got to get up again
said to much its time to leave

Oh no
illusions in a pleasure dome
oh no
the lights are on but no ones home
oh no they think im crazy now i have to leave

how can we
ever be
when we spend are lives just dreaming

regurgitate
others hate
a hate that has no meaning

they hypnotise
they tell us lies
and leave our people screaming
in the dark

oh no
need to get out of here
ive heard it spoke, there is a way

oh yeah
im going in search of it
its my only hope , come what may

oh
got to give up all i prized
oh
all the things i thought where mine
oh
start from scratch ,knowing only that i know absolutely nothing at all

how can we
ever be
when we spend are lives just dreaming

its such a crime
we waste our time
with all this useless dreaming

regurgitate
others hate
a hate that has no meaning

they hypnotise
they terrorise
and leave our people screaming
in the dark

how can we
ever be
when we spend are lives just dreaming

regurgitate
others hate
a hate that has no meaning

oh yeah
i see it more clearly now
most of our thoughts are not our own

the predators mind is what they have given us
A mind that thinks only of itself.

oh no
round and round we go
another attempt to win a prize

black holes
can never get enough
same rule,here applies

--------

Oh no
chained here in a pleasure dome
oh no
the lights are on but no ones home

how can we
ever be
when we spend are lives just dreaming

regurgitate
others hate
a hate that has no meaning

they hypnotise
they tell us lies
and leave our people screaming

LIMP BIZKIT - Take A Look Around

All the tension in the world today
All the little girls fillin' up the world today
With the good comes the bad - the bad comes the good
But I'ma live my life like I should (Like I should)
Now all the critics wanna hit it, to shit-can how we did it, just because they
don't get it
But I'll stay fitted, new era committed
Now this red cap gets a wrap from these critics

Do we always gotta cry? (Always gotta cry...)
Do we always gotta live inside a lie? (Live inside a lie...)
Life's just a blast, it's movin' really fast
Better stay on top or life'll kick you in the ass

Follow me into a solo, remember that
Kid, so what you wanna do?
And where you gonna run when you're starin' down the cable of a...
Mic pointed at your grill like a gun

Limp Bizkit is rockin' the set
It's like Russian Roulette, when you're placin' your bet
So don't be upset when you're broke and you're done, cause I'ma be the one 'til
I jet

I know why you wanna hate me
I know why you wanna hate me
I know why you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

I know why you wanna hate me
I know why you wanna hate me
Now I know why you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

Now you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately
Now you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

Does anybody really know the secret?
Or the combination for this life, and where they keep it?
It's kinda sad when you don't know the meanin'
But everything happens for a reason (Everything happens for a reason...)

I don't even know what I should say
Cause I'm an idiot, a loser, a microphone abuser
I analyze every second I exist
Beatin' up my mind every second with my fist
And everybody wanna run (Wanna run...)
Everybody wanna hide from the gun (From the gun...)
You can take that ride through this life if you want
But you can't take the edge off the knife (No sir)
And now you want your money back
But you're denied, cause your brain's fried from the sack
And there ain't nothin' I can do
Cause life is a lesson, you learn it when you're through

I know why you wanna hate me
I know why you wanna hate me
I know why you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

I know why you wanna hate me
I know why you wanna hate me
Now I know why you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

Now you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately
Now you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

Now I know why
Now I know why
Now I know why
Now I know why
Now...

Now I know why you wanna hate me
Now I know why you wanna hate me
Now I know why you wanna hate me
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately
Cause hate is all the world has even seen lately

I'd be remissed if I didn't mention Immortal Technique. He also has a homepage: http://www.immortal-technique.com/

From the Wikpedia entry:

Immortal Technique provides listeners of his music with his views on politics, sociology, world politics, and American Foreign Policy. Immortal Technique tackles a myriad of modern political and social issues in his songs, addressing events such as the killing of the prominent Black Panthers member Fred Hampton by the FBI, the new world order established by the neo-conservative American government, 9/11, the shooting of Amadou Diallo by New York City Police, and the CIA backed hunt and subsequent assassination of revolutionary leader Che Guevara - to name but a few. He is far-left in political orientation, bordering on socialism, although he refuses to be categorized using typical political labels.

In an era where most popular rappers talk about materialistic things such as diamonds, guns, drugs, and women, Immortal Technique openly questions the policies of the U.S. government, points out social inequalities, and promotes a high level of social activism and revolution. Possibly a conspiracy theorist, Immortal Technique makes many references to controversial events. Among them: U.S. nationalism and jingoism, the right-wing bias and censorship of the media, the death of Senator Paul Wellstone, the CIA's mind control project MKULTRA, and the use of depleted uranium by United States troops. He also suggests that the World Trade Center towers were brought down by explosives. For a complete understanding of where Immortal Technique stands, a perusal through his entire discography would likely be necessary.

and a few lyrics from one of his fiercest songs, The Cause of Death:

But you act like America wouldn't destroy two buildings
In a country that was sponsoring bombs dropped on our children
I was watching the Towers, and though I wasn't the closest
I saw them crumble to the Earth like they was full of explosives
And they thought nobody noticed the news report that they did
About the bombs planted on the George Washington bridge
Four Non-Arabs arrested during the emergency
And then it disappeared from the news permanently
They dubbed a tape of Osama, and they said it was proof
"Jealous of our freedom," I can't believe you bought that excuse
Rockin a motherf***ing flag don't make you a hero
Word to Ground Zero
The Devil crept into Heaven, God overslept on the 7th
The New World Order was born on September 11

and

And just so Conservatives don't take it to heart
I don't think Bush did it, 'cuz he isn't that smart
He's just a stupid puppet taking orders on his cell phone
From the same people that sabotaged Senator Wellstone
The military industry got it poppin' and lockin'
Looking for a way to justify the Wolfowitz Doctrine
And as a matter of fact, Rumsfeld, now that I think back
Without 9/11, you couldn't have a war in Iraq
Or a Defense budget of world conquest proportions
Kill freedom of speech and revoke the right to abortions
Tax cut extortion, a blessing to the wealthy and wicked
But you still have to answer to the Armageddon you scripted
And Dick Cheney, you f***in leech, tell them your plans
About building your pipelines through Afghanistan
And how Israeli troops trained the Taliban in Pakistan
You might have some house n***** fooled, but I understand
Colonialism is sponsored by corporations
That's why Halliburton gets paid to rebuild nations
Tell me the truth, I don't scare into paralysis
I know the CIA saw Bin Laden on dialysis
In '98 when he was Top Ten for the FBI
Government ties is really why the Government lies
Read it yourself instead of asking the Government why
'Cuz then the Cause of Death will cause the propaganda to die..

Axis of Justice is non-profit organization formed by Tom Morello of Audioslave and Serj Tankian of System of a Down. Its purpose is to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together.

We aim to build a bridge between fans of music around the world and local political organizations to effectively organize around issues of peace, human rights, and economic justice.

Aussie rockers, Midnight Oil were always anti NWO in the '80s but lost steam in the late '90s. Anti nuclear, anti-oil, pro-environment etc. Lead singer Peter Garret went on to head the Australian Conservation Foundation and now has a seat in parliament with the Labor party.

The NO W.T.O. COMBO

On December 1st, 1999 Jello Biafra, Krist Novoselic, Kim Thayil and drummer Gina Mainwal performed a one-off protest concert against the World Trade Organization, and all that it stands for, at The Showbox in Seattle. History, insurrection and tear gas was in the air, as hundreds of fans and weary protestors defied the Seattle police curfew to show up and rock the house.

Tension was everywhere. No one knew if the show would even happen 'til the band walked out on stage. Biafra had been out rabble-rousing to gatherings big and small. Krist spent days filming as much of the ruckus as he could. Kim and Gina just wanted to reach the venue without being gassed and arrested. Somehow amongst it all, time was found for three rehearsals.

The plot began when Biafra and Krist were brainstorming with protest organizers for music talent to add to the events. Big names were proven "unavailable", so Krist drafted Biafra and the all-star pseudo-supergroup was hatched.

The NO W.T.O COMBO was recorded live on multi-track and mixed by Krist Novoselic and legendary grunge wizard Jack Endino; capturing the energy and 'you-are-there' ambiance of a night like no other. Artwork includes lots of W.T.O. info, photos, and a personal journal and reflections by Krist Novoselic. Biafra ties together many ideas from his spoken word albums and adds a few new ones on the opening track. The NO W.T.O. COMBO performs two new Biafra songs and two more that may be familiar. "Live From The Battle In Seattle" is just over 40 minutes in length. Roughly 15 minutes of spoken word and 25 minutes of music.

There was talk of taking the show on the road, but due to them not all living in the same city, and due to Jello's current schedule (lawsuit crap and spoken word engagements), a tour has proven elusive. As far as future recordings are concerned, that is also up in the air.
The two last songs are available to download in this site

ANOTHER SEARCH FOR HEAVEN (Copyright - Tom O’Malley 13thAugust 2002)

V 1

Take a look at all the people
Anxious faces grabbin at the latest refill
No one knows right from wrong
Forgotten how to sing their song
Pre-occupied consuming at our peril.

CHO 1

Big brother takes our DNA, eyes full of sand as children stray
Isn’t life just wonderful, when all that’s left is acting cool (Ha!).

V 2

Leaders say lets have a pow-wow
They hunt wi hounds its all a load of bow-wow
Nows the time tae turn around
Rise above the underground
Stand and demand, that this will stop and right now.

CHO 2

When all is done and all is said, You’ll hear an echo in yer head
Ye had yer chance to play it right, Last days are here goodbye goodnight.

MID 8

Ooh, ooh, ooh, another search for Heaven. (x4)

DUB (instru) V + CHO

V 3

The last days now have arrived here
To never see another pretty new year
Running to technology
Another empty jamboree
Come to terms with what is so clear.

CHO 3

Soon its time for us to go, we had our choice to make it flow
The Earth will learn to breath again, free from the hate and greed of men. + CHO 4

Not sure what Dylan has to say about the current war, but Pearl Jam's recent live version of Master's of War gives me goosebumps when I listen to it.

Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build the big bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain

You fasten the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
Even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

Man, those P.J. lyrics are great. I am a guitarist and singer, and my songs reflect reality, instead of contorting it with some twisted mixture of fear, guilt, empty sex appeal and insecurities, take in mind that many of my once favorite artists I realize now were a part of that contortion. I've written a song that some would say is a product of that influence, as well I've written a song pointing it out and voicing my frustration with it. All in all, the music justs kicks hiney. Did I spell hiney correctly? If anyone has a moment, feel free to stop by: www.thedarkblues.net and listen, watch and comment on it. It is most definitely against the motherfawkin N.W.O. :)

-So I say: "Will ya' marry me?" and she says: "No, but that's a real nice ski mask!" -Lloyd Christmas

Lots of music I really enjoyed and believed in now leaves me feeling empty and disappointed.

For me, even an artist with the best intentions can mess it up. I am all for self-expression, but even with that you can go wrong. Self-expression with the intention of getting attention to stroke the ego renders the music and message completely obsolete to me. I suppose I could detach myself from this thought all in the name of enjoyment, a lot of the tunes that I speak of are well-written, catchy, "ground-breaking" (*cough), but that is not enough for me anymore.

These tunes permeate my conscious and get stuck in my head. What's the difference between a catchy pop song and a jingle? One's selling sex the other's selling soap. Because the tunes are catchy I sometimes find myself totally unaware, singing to the lyrics and the words are less than close to what I believe in- this is usually in environments where I cannot control the music, like grocery stores. But I end up singing to these songs, repeating these lyrics like a mantra and I really don't think that that is healthy, even for someone who normally has their head on straight. Really, I/we all have enough to deal with already, why subject my/your subconscious to all this crap?

I believe music can do plenty of good when used right: enlighten, connect, heal, encourage, remind you of who you really are, etc. But equally so, it can be destructive. I don't need a man in tight pants with long flowing hair and an open shirt baring his 'sexy' chest while singing to me how well he can perform and how much he gets around. Then again, I don't need a folk singer with an acoustic singing to me about world peace when their heart is not there.

What I want to listen to are artists who are honest, humble and make their music to the benefit of everyone- I guess music like this cannot come from just anyone, you have to walk the walk to sing the song. I want to listen to people who sing and play with purpose beyond that of getting rich, famous and laid...even respected. Those shouldn't even be goals really, so maybe don't quit your day job? ;)

That's another thing, there are artists out there who will write songs on a subject because they know they'll attract a certain type of person/set of beliefs and that they will get a positive/negative reaction out of them. I can't help but feel this way about a lot of the anti-bush rock out there right now. Maybe not PJ but Greenday for sure.

In the end, you can say I have high standards. I've seen how small my music collection has gotten, only a whisper of it's former self and this is coming from someone who would go see a rock show at least twice a week. But in the end, that's not what really matters to me. What I'm supposedly 'missing out on' doesn't concern me. I also sing a lot more to myself now, and I find lots of joy in it. That's what matters.

I've been listening to Monster Magnet lately, specifically the album Powertrip, the refrane from the song Atomic Clock gets me going everytime:

You ain't digging on my questions
And I know I ain't digging on your lies
Keep on selling me my future
And I'll keep on wearing my disguise

Bullshit may last forever
But my fuse gets shorter every day
I'd be glad to take your money
But gladder to burn it all away

Their other songs are similiar in nature, referencing crop circles, reincarnation, some other funky stuff. It's abstract, not directly correlated to the state of things, but good music. Powertrip is the only good album they put out.
