Brazil Elections

I was listening to SOTT talk radio and the elections being held today in Brazil were mentioned. I believe it was Joe who asked about the results. So, I've been monitoring the results and they have already counted over 98% of votes. Here is the breakdown for the four most voted presidential candidates, the remaining seven candidates were all below 1%:

Candidate N. of votes % of valid votes

DILMA ROUSSEFF 42.7 million 41.5%
AÉCIO NEVES 34.6 million 33.7%
MARINA SILVA 21.9 million 21.3%
LUCIANA GENRO 1.6 million 1.6%

Fortunately Dilma is ahead. Now we'll have a second round between Dilma and Aécio on October 26th. We should expect more shenanigans against her and the Workers' Party until then, such as the bizarre incident earlier this week where a guy with fake weapons and bombs took a hostage at a hotel in the country's capital while demanding that Dilma was removed from power (Link).

All results from federal and state level can be seen at the official Superior Electoral Court website: Link
It's in Portuguese but it is pretty easy to navigate.

The remarkable thing is that Marina Silva, or the Trojan horse of the zionists, has been defeated. Now for the second round things are a little clearer.
For those who did not read it, here's a great article of SOTT on the importance of these elections:

I think that Brazilians must still be very vigilant with Aecio Neves for the second round. It seems he shares the same capitalist economic views as Marina Silva, so a natural second choice for Anglozionists, if only the focus on her was not a diversion to free the way for him to advance in the shadow!

It's good to know Rousseff won handily and Silva is out of the picture. But yeah, the runoff with Neves is going to need to be handled very carefully. They are getting REALLY desperate and will pull out all the stops now to get something going their way. But at least if it's not so close a race (like more than 5% between the two), it will be harder to steal the election - they'll need to do riskier/more desperate things that would likely be less accepted if the results are in doubt. IMO, it's really important Rousseff wins to stop their attacks on the development of BRICS....

I hope that Dilma Rousseff kicks out or puts a stop to the media in Brazil. Yesterday during the SOTT talk radio show it was said that all media were in private hands and that she was being vilified left, right and centre.
It is a wonderful thing that people can speak their mind, but what people said on tv about Hugo Chavez in Venezuela for instance was ridiculous and shameful. I saw that in one of the documentaries about the late President that were posted on SOTT. The way the West demonises Putin and uses Western media to achieve that goal.

Aécio basically caters to the same powers as Marina Silva. Nevertheless, he seems to be more along the lines of a cunning psychopath of charactheropath, having a better rethoric and comes across as smarter than Marina Silva. Her voters, people led into dissatisfactio via midiatic manipulation, certainly will vote for Aécio just to see the end of the PT government.
The results for senator and governor unfortunately showed that Brazil still is a place very conservative, religious and gayphobic, as Jair Bolsonaro and Marcos Feliciano, two notorious hate-mongers were elected with record number of votes in their respective states.

As Iron said, he serves the same masters. Actually, his party (the social democratic party - PSDB) is typically the one backed by the financial elite. I was thinking about it today and I had the exact same thought as you, maybe Marina and the whole Eduardo Campos 'accident'/circus was just a diversion so Aécio could gain ground.

Completely agree with the first paragraph but I must say that I partially understand the reason for people like Feliciano and Bolsonaro being elected. Both of them cater to typically conservative audiences, Feliciano being a protestant pastor and Bolsonaro a catholic christian from the military. But their rise to 'fame' in recent years seem to be related mainly to their opinions against the pro-LGBT policies. In my view, even though I do not agree with their solutions or rhetoric, I also don't agree with the excessive pro-LGBT policies based on gender theory. Just to be clear on a thorny subject, I do not condone homophoby, but legitimate gay rights activism seems to have been subverted into a sexual divide and conquer maneuver.

I also don't think that their election alone is evidence of a homophobic population, perhaps of a conservative population but not necessarily homophobic. Bolsonaro had 465 thousand votes and Feliciano had 400 thousand. On the other hand the singer-comedian Tiririca had 1 million and journalist Celso Russomano had 1,5 million.

Pierre wrote an article that highlights how the gay rights movement has been co-opted and subverted, turning what could have been a legitimate equal rights movement into a hedonistic freak show that continuously tries to blur the gender lines.

Mummy, why is Daddy wearing a dress? Daddy, why does Mummy have a moustache?

As I brazilian who had to work today and bear the comments on the elections by my super conservative boss and her "allies", I have to agree with that. I wonder if the PTB changed course when they predicted that Marina would be eventually be defeated by Dilma in the second turn and chose Aécio instead as their plaything. I mean, it makes more sense, seeing that Dilma's rejection of almost forty percent is better played against someone who is seen as a saviour from the Workers' Party "rule".

Noticed from this article http://www.sott.net/article/286649-Brazilian-president-Dilma-Rousseff-likely-to-be-re-elected-Poll it mentions that:

During Sunday's elections, Brazilians will also choose state governors, senators as well as federal and state representatives.

Hopefully some of these people chosen will help bring about benevolent desired change for the people of Brazil. Yet sometimes behind the front runners, it is in this pack that hides people with other self-interests not in alignment with people.

How probable is it that Neves gets a large majority of Silva's supporters' votes in the runoff and wins? That seems to be the danger of getting a pro-Empire/financial oligarchy candidate into office that will immediately set out to derail Brazil's role in BRICS and then sell out the people's interests to the IMF and the like.

Quite likely, I would imagine. And if not by real vote, via rigging the elections. If the CIA was behind Campos' "accident", they won't stop at that, I think. So, we need to be spreading information at the very least. Do our Brazilian forum members have good articles regarding A. Neves's deals with bankers and pro-Empire ideology? If so, please share and we can spread them around. It may not make a BIG difference, but at least it will be out there.

These are in Portuguese, but form what I can understand, could be good to spread around. Yes?

About CIA funding of A. Neves to support the 1964 coup:

About Neves' privatization ideas:

And this one, but I can't quite understand what it says:
http://www.infomoney.com.br/mercados/noticia/3461022/pais-poderia-sediar-banco-dos-brics-diz-aecio-neves

A good one in English:

Dilma should be aware of the implication of the US in the campaign of her adversaries, I would imagine an action on her camp's side to prevent the rigging, I don't think they will be passive bystanders. Although, it is indeed a possibility.

This is a great question. Marina Silva was originally from the Workers' Party (PT), from 1986 to 2009, before going to the Green Party (PV) where she stayed until 2011, which was before she went to the Socialist Party (PSB) in 2013 because her own 'party' (Rede Sustentabilidade) could not get registered as an official party. So at least some of her followers could turn to Dilma. However, given the massive anti-PT campaign that has been going on for years and the consequent high rejection rate of Dilma and the PT as a whole, I suppose a lot of people could go towards Aécio.

From today's news, it seems Marina will give her support to Aécio on the second round, which would definitely give him a huge advantage since the order of the day seems to be "anything is better than the PT". This decision should be officially stated tomorrow.

I'll take a look in my archives for anything worthy and also the articles you posted.
