This creature was found in northern Ontario last May, unfortunately there is only one picture showing the face but it is pretty bizarre. Could be a mutation of a beaver or bear I don't know. Here is a link to an article from the daily telegraph with the picture.

Hello,
There was an article referencing it in the french site of Sott :

Really weird. Could be some bizarre mutation due to radiation.

The teeth look malformed, makes me wonder how the little guy could eat at all. A foot long...it didn't say if that was with or without tail. Videos aren't playing for me this am for some reason. (stupid computer)

There's so much pollution in rivers and streams now its a wonder any animal makes it to maturity. :(

It's now on SOTT too:

Interesting that it disappeared, though, whatever it was.

The second photo tells me that the absence of hair from the face is artificial, looks like the hair was shaved off.
From what I can gather from the pictures this could be a small volverine -the ears are telling. Possibly the tail was shaved off as well. Bulldog appearance of the face and white skin could be the result of prolonged exposure to water which caused the bloating of subcutis and whitening of the skin. Well at least that is my take on it FWIW

What puzzles me the most about this case is WHY , and WHO would do something like this.

That's sort of what I was thinking. Somebody shaved the fur off of its face. It makes me sick.

A sicko! Not hard to find in this day and age. As of why, a sicko does it for fun. Although this is just my take on it at this time.
