Batman begins

I just watched Batman Begins last night and there were many metaphysical references to what is happening now and what will probably in the future.

First of, Bruce Wayne meets members of the League of Shadows, who train him in martial arts and in dealing with his fear. They are responsible for carrying out justice and keeping balance in the world. He then leaves this group when they ask him to lead a group of warriors to Gothum City to destroy it. So, he turns into Batman and tries to fight evil one bad guy at a time.

The League of Shadows returns, as they are still planning to take out Gothum City, as it has become too corrupted in their eyes. So, they devise this way to distribute this large quantity of this potion into the water which instantly causes one to be exposed to their deepest inner fears, thus causing the city to go mad and destroy itself. Of course, Batman defeats them and Gothum City is allowed to live on in its state of darkness.

Although the League of Shadows were portrayed as the "bad guys", I believe they represent the supernatural forces that are descending upon our planet that will expose our inner shadows. Very interesting.

You never know dude, maybe Batman's resistance to the group of shadows is part of a greater plan, in that the same group of shadows can be using batman as a chess piece, knowing that someone who fights evil and crime by immersing himself in that 'shadow world' and being the embodiment of a 'bat', might succumb to the lure of the dark side eventually.
