Details of the widely anticipated law on mobilization are emerging. In particular, this law does not provide for demobilization at all. It's really a one-way ticket. You can only partially return to the opposite direction (if your arms / legs are torn off) or in a body bag.
One-way mobilization: The West has given an ultimatum to Zelensky

Political expert, ex-diplomat of the LPR Rodion Miroshnik commented on the upcoming tightening in mobilization in Ukraine, associated with the imminent adoption of a new law.

"One-way mobilization. The Parliament is considering a law on mobilization.

A draft law on mobilization has been submitted to the Rada hall, which is due to be put to a vote in a few days, but before that, several thousand proposed amendments will be considered.

With all the abundance of amendments, there is no provision in the draft law on the demobilization of already serving employees. I.e., return from the Armed Forces is not provided. Everyone who will be raked in the near future should understand this perfectly well.

Westerners have already counted the "resource base" and claim that the Kiev regime has the potential to mobilize up to 3.7 million people out of 11.1 million men existing in Ukraine in general. At the same time, more than 1 million are already serving, a significant part of whom are already on the lists of irretrievable losses.

Most likely, both the draft and the amendments will be voted at a sprint pace, because the West has given Zelensky an ultimatum: when there is "cannon fodder" from Kiev, then there will be finances and weapons from the West, and if not, then the terms of the agreement will be considered not fulfilled by Kiev.

And the fact that the mobilized will be issued a "one-way summons" is indicated by the fact that the provision on the demobilization of those already fighting has been withdrawn from the draft law, i.e. their return home is not expected.

We are closely watching how the "non-workers" independently, under the dictation of the owners, accept the conditions of complete disposal and burial for their people."

Czech Vampires were taken seriously. Over the past few days, 6 installations have been destroyed. I did not track how many were destroyed earlier. In total, the Czechs supplied Ukraine with about 20 similar installations. Well, to be honest, they deserved it. All the recent attacks on Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk, where MLRS were used, were Vampires. So these vampires drank enough blood of civilians in Russian regions.
Tornado-C strikes destroyed a platoon of RM-70 "Vampire" MLRS
In the zone of a special military operation, a blow was struck today at the deployment point of a platoon of RM-70 "Vampire" multiple rocket launchers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using the Tornado-S high-precision multiple launch rocket system. This unit was seen carrying out regular shelling of Belgorod, which caused retaliatory actions.

The target was detected by reconnaissance means in the village of Liptsy, Kharkiv region. High-precision guided projectiles of 300 mm caliber were used for the strike, which have the ability to hit objects at a distance of up to 120 km. This made it possible to complete the task with high accuracy and minimal risk to the civilian population and infrastructure of the region.

It is worth noting that the settlement of Liptsy has already been mentioned in the context of hostilities. In particular, on January 24 of this year, the launch of anti-aircraft missiles from this territory was noted, as a result of which an IL-76 plane with Ukrainian prisoners of war was shot down over the Belgorod region.

The leitmotif of this post will be frankness. Mostly forced, but still.
Vasiliy Nebenzia openly outline the "value" of the international meeting on Ukraine planned in Switzerland.
Nebenzia named the only topic of international meetings on Ukraine in the future (VIDEO)

Very soon, the only topic of international meetings on Ukraine will be the unconditional surrender of the Kiev regime, Russian Permanent Representative to the organization Vasily Nebenzia said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

"Very soon, the only topic for any international meetings on Ukraine will be the unconditional surrender of the Kiev regime. I advise all of you to prepare for this in advance," Nebenzia said.
https://rusvesna.su/news/1712858741

An uncombed monster crawled out of mothballs from somewhere and let's broadcast. The question is, when was this monster frankness? Then, when he, with his calls to fight to the last Ukrainian, zeroed out the Istanbul talks, or now, when he talks about the failure of the West in Ukraine as more terrible than the Afghan one?
Failure in Ukraine will be "scarier for the West than Vietnam" - Boris Johnson

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is sounding the alarm: if Russia takes Kiev — and this, according to the British politician, is its goal — then this failure will be much worse for the United States and the West than Vietnam. And the chaotic flight from Afghanistan next to the defeat in Ukraine is nothing at all, he notes.

He also noted that he was "praying" that Republicans in Congress would end the blockade of about $60 billion in funding for Ukraine, adding: "The situation is grim and the delay is terrible."

The British politician also said that the chaotic flight from Afghanistan in 2021 is "nothing compared to the possible victory of Russia in Ukraine."
https://rusvesna.su/news/1712903303

Now Western experts have also suddenly become outspoken, but their current frankness seems useless to me. Frankness on their part would have been more appropriate then, when they said with one voice that Russia was about to run out of missiles.
Scarier than the "Kinzhal": Russia used the latest X-69, which made it possible to completely destroy the most powerful power plant in the Kiev region — Defense Express (PHOTO, MAP)

During the attack on the Tripoli thermal power plant, Russia used the latest X-69 missiles, Defense Express reports.

The missile launch range was about 400 km, exceeding the range estimates of the X-69 by 300 km, as a modification of the X-59MK2.

The X-69 is a subsonic cruise missile for fighter jets. The main feature is the possibility of ultra—low flight at an altitude of 20 m, which is lower than the X-101 can.

The effective strike indicates the possibility of its penetration through the obviously depleted air defense.

The launch from tactical aircraft erases the characteristic feature of large-scale missile attacks, when the takeoff of Tu-95MS strategic bombers and MiG-31K interceptors is recorded in advance.

A range of 400 km will allow hitting many objects in Ukraine from fighter jets that can fly up to the border at 50-70 km.

There are options for launch areas on the map. If the Russian Aerospace Forces launch them from Belarus, then the whole of Ukraine will enter the affected area, except for the Transcarpathian region.
https://rusvesna.su/news/1712853696

Again, the belated frankness of Western experts. When it "smells fried", when the consequences can hurt them, then they become outspoken.
"They will provoke an explosion": the media revealed Kiev's sinister plan against Russia

Ukraine may cause an explosion at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant due to failures at the front, Advance writes.

"Ukraine does not have nuclear weapons, but it can provoke a nuclear explosion at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the Zaporizhia NPP," the article says.

The observer pointed out that Kiev, being the losing side in the conflict with Russia, could take a very dangerous step that would have disastrous consequences.

On Sunday, the press service of the NPP reported a drone attack on the dome of the sixth power unit. It was noted that there was no critical damage. A little earlier, it was reported about UAV arrivals in the canteen area, as well as in the cargo port area. On Monday, a Ukrainian kamikaze drone was shot down over the station.

He fell on the roof of the 6th power unit, there were no threats of violation of the safety limits of the NPP. On Tuesday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked with a drone the unique training center of the Zaporizhia NPP, where the world's only full-scale simulator of the reactor hall is located.

The NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River near the town of Energodar. This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity — the station has six power units with a capacity of 1 gigawatt each. In October 2022, the nuclear power plant became the property of Russia.

"Military Chronicle": 100 soldiers of the French Foreign Legion arrived in the DPR

The first units of the French Foreign Legion have been transferred to Slavyansk (DPR). This is reported by the "Military Chronicle".
According to the Telegram channel, the soldiers of the 3rd infantry regiment of the legion arrived at the location of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the day before.

"According to preliminary information, the first group of 100 people are specialists in artillery reconnaissance, as well as an engineering group specializing in fortification and construction of field fortifications," the military officers write.

It is noted that the French move around the city only accompanied by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Military Chronicle believes that the legionnaires will help the Ukrainian army defend Slavyansk.

There is no official confirmation of this data.

In March, Russian SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin said that France was preparing a military contingent to be sent to Ukraine. According to Russian intelligence, at the initial stage, the group will consist of about 2,000 military personnel.

The following two news stories are about the notorious F-16 and the problems associated with them. Here, the NATO commander talks about the problems of pilot training. These problems, as well as the fact that the potential fleet of ukrops F-16s could amount to about 200 cars, tells us that most likely they will not be piloted by ukrops. By itself, the F-16 is, without exaggeration, the most common combat aircraft in the world, which means that it will be possible to find more or less qualified pilots for such an aircraft in many places. Interestingly, the NATO members are not yet talking about another important problem related to the use of the F-16 in Ukraine. These are airfields. The F-16 is quite demanding on the quality of the runway, it cannot take off / land anywhere, like many Russian cars (Su-25, Su-34, etc.). All Ukropsky airfields were hit / are being hit / will be hit by various strike means and the question arises how they think to apply these planes? Putin has already spoken out on this topic, which is obvious to us, saying that airfields from which planes operating in Ukraine take off will be hit wherever they are.
NATO Commander-in-Chief in Europe: There were problems with the training of Ukrainian pilots to control F-16 fighters
The commander-in-chief of NATO in Europe, Christopher Cavoli, at a hearing in the US Congress, voiced the key problems faced by Ukrainian pilots in preparing to fly F-16 fighter jets.

Cavoli pointed out that Ukrainian pilots have an education based on Soviet standards, which significantly complicates the transition to modern Western technologies. The main difficulties are related to the lack of qualified personnel and insufficient command of the English language, which is critical for mastering the technical documentation and operating instructions of the F-16.

The transition from outdated Soviet aircraft models to fourth-generation fighters such as the F-16 is a major challenge. The need to learn English is due to the fact that all technical documentation and management of combat operations on these aircraft are conducted in English.

In the course of training, as Cavoli noted, an assessment of the level of preparedness of Ukrainian pilots is carried out. Those who already have the necessary skills immediately begin training on the F-16, while others undergo additional specialized training. Even experienced pilots face problems adapting to new technologies and requirements, which highlights the significant differences between the Soviet and Western aircraft industry.

Norway has announced its intentions to transfer 22 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine
Norway has announced its readiness to transfer 22 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, the Norwegian newspaper Nettavisen reports. This decision was part of a broader initiative in which the United States approved the transfer of a total of 65 such fighters from the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, of which the latter accounts for the specified number of aircraft.

The decision to transfer the fighters had not previously been finalized, and it was planned that the delivery would take place only in the long term. Nevertheless, the approval from the United States has accelerated this process.

However, as the source notes, not all fighters may be ready for immediate combat use. Approximately 10 of the 22 aircraft provided by Norway are in unknown condition, which may require additional measures to restore them and prepare them for operation.

Units of the French Foreign Legion arrived in Slavyansk

April 13, 2024
cimetiere.jpg

Advanced units of the 3rd Infantry Regiment of the Foreign Legion arrived at the site of units of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Slavyansk.
“According to preliminary information, the first group of 100 people consists of specialists in artillery reconnaissance, as well as a group of engineers specializing in fortification and the construction of field fortifications ,” reports Military Chronicle.
Now the task of the Russian armed forces is to kill the "frogs" as quickly as possible. This will be all the easier since the legion units are located in the city, accessible not only by missiles, but also by hover bombs on the UMPC.
The faster and more mercilessly we lock the French in coffins, the less other European countries will want to send their soldiers to Ukraine.
In March, Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy told French journalists that Russia would kill any military personnel Paris sent to Ukraine.
“We will kill all French soldiers who arrive on Ukrainian territory. We don't care about Macron. We will kill them all. You have no doubt about it ,” the Russian representative then underlined.
Despite this clear warning, the French crossed the line drawn in front of them. Our response will also be clear and sharp and such that the West does not even think of intensifying its efforts or expanding its presence.
In addition to the destruction of the units in Slavyansk, there could be problems on French territory: explosions of liquefied gas storage facilities, fire in a defense factory, or one of the remaining units in Africa could have serious problems…
We are simply playing for life or death for Russia. So it is easy for any sane person to understand that we will not back down. But Macron's madness seems a serious obstacle to his understanding and he has just made a decision which could well cost the French dearly.

...Of course, just an outdated woman's ideas on the man who need to claim to have a lot of tricks? in the pants?
Very funny.

I have already cited the texts of Rostislav Ishchenko.
I present to your attention another article by this author, in which he shows the connections and draws analogues of the mental deformation of current Ukrainians with well-known typical effects. I must say bluntly that I agree not with all his conclusions, but his thoughts are interesting.
A nuclear explosion in a pastoral sandbox
Once upon a time, a book of children's sayings was popular, called "From two to five." The kids amazed an adult with their spontaneity and non-standard approach to well-known subjects. In particular, the book was an entertaining read, but in general it was a deep philosophical generalization, demonstrating to a thoughtful reader the possibility of existence of a radically different from the generally accepted, but nevertheless consistent view of the world.

Children who had not yet had time to fully join the values and rules of our civilization formulated theses that, without knowing their origin, could be attributed to another (extraterrestrial) civilization, and not always and not necessarily humanoid. Our children, who have already learned to speak and express their thoughts coherently, who have already begun to join our culture, carriers of our genes and the same instincts as us, at the initial stage of their development demonstrate amazing plasticity — the ability not only to adapt to other civilizational norms, but even independently create these norms if necessary.

It is this plasticity of the psyche and civilizational adaptability that allowed man (the only living being) to populate the entire planet and go into space. Individuals can thank her for the fact that, lost in the forest at the age of an infant and brought up in a pack of animals, they grew up as Mowgli children: wolves, baboons and other tarzans, but did not die, but survived.

However, they get so used to their animal image that, being physically full-fledged people, they usually do not become mentally such, even if they return to the human community in adulthood. That is, at some stage, the plasticity of the child's psyche becomes a thing of the past, it becomes rigid, as the human skeleton gradually loses its former flexibility and fragility. The civilizational image, which was put on a person as a mask in childhood and could be replaced, grows to him, turning into his only and true face.

This gradual ossification of the psyche guarantees the stability of human civilizations. Thus, humanity is, on the one hand, sufficiently plastic in order to effectively adapt to new living conditions, on the other hand, civilization turns out to be a sufficiently rigid structure in order to preserve and pass on from generation to generation justified traditions and skills, life principles and social rules.

However, human society is not a copy of an anthill, which, in fact, is an organism only in the aggregate of all its individuals (an individual ant is not able to survive or reproduce). Even an individual can survive in human society, and in order to start reproduction, a primary cell is enough: a family of two people representing both sexes. Each individual, even within the framework of one civilization, does not literally copy other similar personalities, but represents a separate unique instance, only more or less similar to others of the same kind.

Therefore, in any human society there are people who did not have sufficient mental plasticity even in childhood (due to which they hardly socialized), and there are people whose psyche retains high plasticity for life. They easily change their views, beliefs, and easily accept new, previously alien norms of the hostel. It is not difficult for them to change their place of work, profession, country of residence, they begin to speak fluently and with minimal emphasis in a previously unknown language after a couple of weeks of living in the appropriate language environment.

These people have an increased tendency to change places, move to another country for permanent residence, and generally move for the sake of improving the quality of life. They are more interested in everyday life than the idea. Rather, life is always in the first place for them and justifies any idea.

Due to the fact that in our historical memory, some peoples, in particular Americans, were formed precisely from among people inclined to seek a better life elsewhere, communities with an increased percentage of people have formed in the world, preserving the plastic psyche of children for life. Accordingly, in the societies that produced the largest number of emigrants, on the contrary, the percentage of people with an initially conservative mental organization turned out to be higher.

When a society that is more mentally plastic collides with a more conservative society, if the former is more technically advanced than the latter, an "African" colonial phenomenon arises, which still defines the social and political life of most African states.

A stable conservative society, ideally integrated into the environment, has no incentives to change its civilizational paradigm, and its less plastic collective psyche makes it almost impossible to realize the true reasons for the everyday and technological success of the aliens. In such a situation, a conservative "backward" society begins to copy the external manifestations of the plastic "advanced". Famous cargo cults have their roots here.

Americans and Europeans arrived in Ukraine at a time when the most conservative (to the traditional, the cultivated Soviet conservatism with its closeness from the world was also added) local society also sharply lost in everyday terms, collapsing from the "clean poverty" of the late Soviet period (which, against the background of previous decades, seemed even prosperity) into unbridled poverty and hopelessness. As a result of the collision of two types of civilizations that had recent common roots, a specific Ukrainian mentality of the "African" colonial type arose.

Ukrainians knew that airplanes are not assembled from bamboo, but are made at enterprises (they even knew how to make them in the 90s). They were familiar with most of the technological achievements of Western civilization. In this regard, they were well aware of the usefulness of Oxford. But they could not understand in any way why, with a comparable level of technical development, the West lives an order of magnitude better in everyday terms.

Hence, the legend of the beneficence of Western democracy and everything that comes from the West was born. Instead of building a prosperous society and a normal state on their own, Ukrainians began to wait for the West to send managers, teach, tell, build, choose worthy ones to govern the country. The West turned out to be something like a postmodern god for Ukrainians - distant, incomprehensible and omnipotent, he demanded the observance of proper rituals, giving in return domestic well—being.

The level of aping of Ukrainians was higher than the level of their African companions in misfortune. Ukrainians did not build a replica of the runway and a bamboo airplane, did not build bonfires at night in anticipation of dropping canned food by parachute. Ukrainians tried to outwardly copy Western habits in everyday life and Western priorities in politics. It was all the easier because Ukrainians themselves were part of the great imperial civilization yesterday, so they had a lot in common with the West in their views on the third world. They simply did not notice that they themselves are not a part of the West, but a third world.

And now, when Ukrainians have completely integrated into the West precisely on African-colonial grounds, they are beginning to wonder why they are used only as Moroccan shooters, Algerian spagi, Nepalese Gurkhas, Sikh sepoys or, at worst, Egyptian or Ethiopian porters, in general, as consumables of Western military and political campaigns. After all, they are part of the West: they pronounced the right words, threatened those who needed their fists, imposed sanctions, even killed those whom the West ordered to be killed. It's time for them to join the EU and NATO, they deserve it, and they are being sent to the Yar and Krasnogorovka, as recently to Avdiivka and Bakhmut.

They thought that the war with Russia invented by the West was such a game (as in a computer): you were killed, and you rebooted and are alive again. They thought the West couldn't lose—the gods don't lose. They thought that they were on the right side of history and only for this should they receive various kinds of material goods and household amenities. Even when they started dying, they assumed that only losers who incorrectly offered prayers to the West or did not observe all rituals (for example, continued to speak Russian) were dying.

However, the quantity has grown into quality, and now they ask with amazing naivety why the mobilized are not demobilized during the war, because they are tired of fighting. In no country in the world could a soldier mobilized for war even think that he would leave the front before the end of the war except for illness, injury, captivity or death. No general would dream of removing hundreds of thousands of experienced fighters from the front and replacing them with recruits, since the former had already fought and were tired.

Only the childish Ukrainian consciousness, which still perceives what is happening as a complex, obscure, but still a game, is looking for a playful way out of its private and civilizational catastrophe.

That's why they don't find a way out, because it's not where they're looking. This is not a game, there will be no second chance. The Western gods will not save you. The exit is behind a door marked "surrender". But before the army capitulates at the front, before the Afro-colonial Ukrainian state realizes its inadequacy, the surrender of the Ukrainian consciousness must take place. Individuals and the whole society must realize that they have chosen the wrong and even criminal path. To realize and try to fix what can still be fixed. In the meantime, Ukrainians are striving for victory (albeit without personal participation in the fighting), their misfortunes will continue.
A nuclear explosion in the sandbox can be simulated as much as you want, but only until you try to do it with a conventional grenade.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro was outraged by the logo of the TV channel, similar to the letter Z

MOSCOW, Apr 13 – RIA Novosti. The Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro sent comments to the country's state broadcaster RTCG because of the logo of TVCG2, in which the number 2 allegedly resembles the letter Z, local newspaper Vijesti reports.
According to the publication, the Ukrainian diplomatic mission saw the letter Z in the visual design of the number 2, which is on the updated logo of the TV channel, which is why it contacted the RTCG leadership by phone.
At the same time, the Embassy of Ukraine confirmed to Vijesti information about the request to the broadcasting company, but the head of the diplomatic mission Oleg Gerasimenko refused to disclose details. RTCG CEO Boris Raonic did not respond to the request.
As the publication notes, RTCG in August last year announced a competition to select a new logo for the channels and radio belonging to the broadcasting company, the winner was announced in October. In March of this year, the RTCG council agreed to change the symbolism.
The Latin letter Z is printed on the sides of Russian military equipment participating in a military special operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. In Russia, the letter Z has become an unofficial symbol of support for the special operation.

In Ukraine, an Odessan faces criminal prosecution because of Soviet postcards

The Ukrainian police detained a man in Odessa who had Soviet-era greeting cards with him. This was announced by the Patrol Police of the Odessa region in its Telegram channel.
It is noted that during the patrol, inspectors drew attention to a man who, when they appeared, abruptly changed the direction of movement. The passerby allegedly tried to escape and even behaved aggressively, police say.

"During a cursory inspection, many postcards with symbols of the communist regime were found," TASS quoted the publication as saying.

The police added that investigators will now establish all the circumstances of the incident.

Recall that since 2014, the struggle against symbols and monuments of the Soviet era has begun in Ukraine. In eight years, more than two thousand monuments to Soviet figures have been dismantled in the country, the names of over 900 settlements and about 50,000 streets have been changed. Recently, the Ukrainian authorities have intensified this campaign.

The Ukrainian army was able to step up so far, because of their sparse, but precise hits with Western supplied HIMARS and of course, like locusts the Western supplied myriad of drones were keeping the Russians on their toes.

Well.. not anymore. After fielding several notable new technologies - like those vehicle-borne, dome-shaped Anti-Drone-EM-Shields, Russia is now disabling Ukrainian = Western drones with a special EM-rifle that soldiers will be able to carry with them soon. Just like any other normal weapon. Now there will be an Anti-Drone Trooper in Russian squads.

No more Ukrainian-Western drone terror!!

We are still slowly moving forward. Today there is some information about the liberation of Bogdanovka and Novomikhaylovka. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet given official information.
Ukrainian military analysts accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of lying about the situation in Bogdanovka (MAP, VIDEO)

Ukrainian military analysts DS accused the AFU command of lying that Bogdanovka is near Artemivsk (Bakhmut) allegedly not taken by the Russian Army.

"Both public footage and direct participants in the fighting in the area testify to the capture of the village by the Russians. Back on April 8, a video of the shelling of an enemy position 800 meters from the forest lying between the village and the Clock Yar appeared on the OSUV Khortytsya channel.

Later, footage appeared of the withdrawal of the AFU forces from positions south of those where the shelling described above took place. The events take place under heavy artillery fire.

And yesterday, a blow was published against our BMP, which was generally hit at the turn to Kalinovka," Ukrainian military propagandists confirm the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of April 13, DS analysts said that Bogdanovka was taken by the Russian Army, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine denied this message and stated that the village allegedly remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Russian Armed Forces allegedly occupied only the northeastern part of the village.

Ukrops are still going captured with varying degrees of intensity. Those who have time, but not everyone has time.
Paratroopers from the 25th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered at Vodiane (VIDEO)

The Ukrainian military from the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered as a whole unit in the Vodiane area (Avdiivka direction).

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, nine "horsemen" appealed to our fighters, declared their readiness to surrender and laid down their weapons.

The prisoners say that their commanders never appeared at the front lines, and set tasks "remotely by radio."

Ukrainians confirm that they are being used as cannon fodder, regardless of the enormous losses.

The prisoners note the decent attitude of our servicemen towards them, urge their colleagues to lay down their weapons and not participate in hostilities.

Just an observation: There's a disconnect between the much hyped story of the "threat of Russia striking Zaporizhia NPP causing a nuclear disaster", which we all know Ukraine is actually provoking, and the fact that Russia just disabled (two?) nuclear power stations in the last day or so, without causing such disaster. The media now isn't making much of the "nuclear disaster threat" all of a sudden.

It's a bit off topic, but I stumbled upon a video reaction to the FSB Alfa Spetznaz unit training by a team leader of the US anti-terrorist unit. In the video he shares how astonished he is by the level of trust the members of the unit share (they use live ammunition), something that apparently would never happen in US.

Here's the full video that has much more/additional scenes than in the reaction video. It shows all kind of elements of the anti-terrorist operation.

And this is the reaction. It's also important to note that the reaction was done before the beginning of the SMO, so it is pretty much genuine.

It also reminded me what Canadian astronaut, Chris Hadfield, had to say about the differences in training between Russian and US cosmonauts/astronauts. From this thread:

I read his book "An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth", and he also talked there about his time in Russia. He wrote that he had not only learn Russian, but also understand the Russian mentality, because it was so different from the Western one.

For example, during the mutual "fire danger" training with NASA astronauts and Russian cosmonauts, NASA people complained that Russians introduced too much smoke, and that it was difficult to train in such an environment. Russians only scratched their heads and said that they were trying to create as close to reality conditions as possible.

Another issue and differences of opinion had to do with evacuation procedures in case of fire. According to NASA regulations if there is a fire breaking up, everyone has to evacuate the burning section, this section has to be sealed, and only afterward astronauts need to think about how to put out the fire and save the equipment. But Russians couldn't understand this kind of approach. According to the Russian regulations, if there is a fire break out: no one leaves and stays until the fire is being extinguished.

There are pro and cons to both approaches. But it does say a lot about differences between nations.

Yeah, I was watching a video of Spetznaz units training in Russia years ago, well before the SMO started, and remember being floored by the level of professionalism and hardness of the training. Just thinking about it made me go, "Man, that is really hard and dangerous for the body!". There was no doubt to me back then that the Russians were already far ahead in terms of military skill and training against anything the west can produce! One can only imagine what level of refinement and further improvements the Russians have now under their belt because of real life combat in Ukraine that can't be compared to any other military engagement/conflict in the modern era! You can't get a better opportunity to harden/steel and prepare your military, actually.

And in terms of the difference on how the Russians approach not only military combat but also Anti-Terrorist operations and space explorations: I agree, that is also very different! Generally speaking, the Russians train/think reality based, focusing on what is really needed in a real life situations. No nonsense, while relying on things that have been proven reliable OVER TIME IN REAL LIFE, while not focusing too much on crazy THEORETICAL technics and brand new and fancy gadgets.

And indeed, the level of trust is very important and can't be compared to western counterparts either! Not by any means. I think that is partly because Russians in general have a mentality that hasn't been programmed and washed down as much as western counterparts. One reason might be because many Russians have grown up remembering how difficult life actually is while the training itself is really hard, mentally and physically, focusing on reality. The other BIG reason is probably because Russians can see and/or feel that their missions have a PURPOSE, fighting in the name of goodness/decency and humanity. You could say that some if not many of them realize, at least at some level, that their fight is ACTUALLY a REAL HOLY WAR against the forces of darkness. Something that hasn't been seen for a long time.

As I have already written, partisan actions on the territory of Ukraine are becoming tangible. In this case, the guerrillas supplemented the effect of rocket attacks with their actions.
"The country.ua": Unknown persons set fire to electrical substations in the Odessa region

The cause of fires at electrical substations in the Odessa region of Ukraine could be deliberate arson. The Country writes about this.ua".
The publication reports that the substations were burned down by unknown persons. Several settlements were left without electricity.

The publication also cites messages from local public sites. It follows from them that one substation burned down in the village of Kubey in the Bolgrad district, and the other in Bolgrad itself.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced the ignition of equipment at several high-voltage substations. The fire was extinguished by the State Emergency Service. At the same time, it was not specified at which facilities the fire occurred.

Jokes, jokes, beautiful uniforms and chevrons, torchlight procession, it's all over, now they have to seriously fight a strong opponent, but nationalist formations are traditionally not capable of this. The maximum of their capabilities is to terrorize grandmothers for postcards saved from the Soviet era or to stand as protective detachments behind the backs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and shoot those who leave positions without orders.
In Ukraine, they arranged a check in the 67th brigade after a series of failures under the Chasov Yar
According to the publication Ukrainska Pravda, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to transfer commanders and fighters to other units, who initially formed the backbone of the brigade
MOSCOW, April 14. /tass/. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), after a series of failures near the city of Chas Yar in the part of the DPR controlled by the Ukrainian troops, organized an inspection in the 67th separate mechanized brigade (OMBR) fighting in this direction. This was reported by the publication Ukrainska Pravda.

According to the publication, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to transfer commanders and militants, who initially formed the backbone of the brigade, to other units. It is also reported that the brigade "employs numerous commissions." According to sources of Ukrayinska Pravda, the military leadership is dissatisfied with the fact that the 67th OMBR began to "sink" under the Chasov Yar.

The publication notes that another reason for checking and actually reformatting the brigade may be a problem inherent in its creation. The 67th OMBR was created from formations of the Right Sector organization (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). At the same time, Ukrainska Pravda notes, most of the militant commanders did not have military ranks that would allow them to take senior positions, and were forced to obey the army command. According to the publication, while Valery Zaluzhny remained the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the "backbone" of the brigade managed to maintain a certain autonomy. After the appointment of the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, they were required to perform functions corresponding to their official level, which was met with little enthusiasm.

At the same time, the situation in the combat zone in Donbass in general and in particular near Chasov Yar has become much more complicated for the Ukrainian troops. Igor Kimakovsky, an adviser to the head of the DPR, reported on April 13 that Ukrainian troops had pulled additional forces into the Chas Yar to hold one of the key areas in the defense of the city. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian military occupied more advantageous positions in the Donetsk direction in a week, while the AFU lost more than 3 thousand soldiers.

Chas Yar is one of the key logistics hubs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In early April, Kimakovsky informed TASS about the capture of some strategic fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Chasov Yar, and also that Ukrainian troops had withdrawn personnel from a number of positions on the outskirts of the city.

These Polish athletes were called extreme athletes for a reason. They got lost so that they risked being in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tomorrow, in some Chasov Yar.
Polish extreme athletes got lost and crossed the border with Ukraine

Ukrainian border guards detained a group of Polish extreme athletes who got lost during their tour of Hungary and accidentally entered the territory of Ukraine.

"Four Poles outside the checkpoints on three ATVs and motorcycles crossed the Hungarian-Ukrainian border," the State Border Service of Ukraine clarified.

It turned out that Polish athletes planned to travel from Krakow to Istanbul as part of the "2222 kilometers" campaign.

"Having lost contact, they got lost and so ended up in Ukraine," the border guards explained.

Protocols have been drawn up against the violators, and they will be deported to their homeland in the near future.
