Wow, I thought it only happened in Mexico City. The Government of Mexico City eliminated the recommendation to use face masks in open spaces on April 1, after two years of pandemic, however, walking through the streets of the city one can realize that people do not want to remove the mask . They are used to using it, they are afraid, two years were enough to tame them

Reminds me of a pit bull dog I used to have. The dog was so used to wearing a harness that the day I took it off he chased me to get it back on. The dog felt insecure, I got the impression that the dog felt naked.

People now in Mexico City feel more insecure and it is not because of crime but because of the invisible enemy that they were told is in the air ready to attack them

What is certain is that the program is complete
It is a very complicated situation for many people to decide to take out the mask.
People are lost, confused, indecisive, unable to take the decision. This is very serious. It's not just because they are afraid of the virus. Partly, yes, but it's deeper than that. The subject of the mask is extremely important because it brought people to get vaccinated. It is a tool of torture and humiliation, and also by which people have lost contact with themselves and others. The mask is a denial of oneself, the loss of the face. Now suddenly the government says they can take it off. They are lost. And lost in the true sense of the word.

Many have decided that enough is enough and that they are finally free of the mask. It is a pleasure to see smiles and faces again. Those who continue to wear the mask do not participate in the joy of seeing each other's faces. They continue to feel isolated. There are still people who drive with a mask. They are hardened covidians!

'Intermittent vaccinations: Americans will get Covid booster vaccine every year.'

Fauci declares end of ‘pandemic’ in US

28 Apr, 2022
The Covid czar said “intermittent vaccinations” could keep the virus at a “low level” in the US

White House Covid-19 adviser Anthony Fauci has said that the “pandemic phase” of the coronavirus outbreak is finally over in the United States, citing a fall in daily infections and hospitalizations, while warning the health crisis is not over yet.

In an interview with PBS NewsHour on Tuesday, Fauci offered some optimism about the pandemic outlook in the US.

“We are certainly right now in this country out of the pandemic phase,” he said. “Namely, we don't have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now.”

So if you're saying, 'Are we out of the pandemic phase in this country?' — we are.

Nonetheless, Fauci cautioned that “we're not going to eradicate this virus,” but suggested it may be possible to keep infections at a “very low” level through intermittent vaccinations. He did not clarify how often new the new shots would be needed, however.

“That might be every year, that might be longer, in order to keep that level low. But, right now, we are not in the pandemic phase in this country,” Fauci continued, adding, “pandemic means a widespread, throughout the world, infection that spreads rapidly among people.”

Despite his rosier assessment while speaking with PBS, last month Fauci warned that new coronavirus variants emerging in the United States could force the country back under sweeping restrictions such as lockdowns, arguing that Americans could not simply say “We’re done. We’re going to move on.”

In separate comments to the Associated Press on Wednesday, the Covid adviser said the US is “much, much better off” than it was last year, and despite a surge in cases last winter, “we’ve now decelerated and transitioned into more of a controlled phase.”

Still, he insisted “we can’t take our foot off the pedal,” urging health officials to be on the lookout for “another variant which could lead to another potential surge.”

Covid-19 infections, hospitalizations and deaths in the US have each dropped to their lowest level in months, gradually declining since the appearance of the Omicron variant. Around two-thirds of eligible Americans are now vaccinated, and compared to earlier phases of the pandemic, effective treatments are increasingly available, including monoclonal antibodies, convalescent plasma and antiviral therapies.

So true. I work for a national supermarket chain and there are quite a lot of customers still welded to their face coverings. I agree that it is a sign of deep programming. They now, after two long years, have developed a comfortable safety blanket and don't seem able to part company with it. I feel that these individuals will never appear sans masks and that makes me very sad. I wonder what would happen if the government issued a decree that masks were dangerous and would no longer be allowed. Total psychological meltdown I suspect. Of course that is never going to happen unfortunately. I also work with a number of youngsters who are still masked up. Luckily they are in the minority. There are still people on the streets jogging and driving alone wearing masks. I think they might be beyond help sadly.

The lockdown nightmare continues in Shanghai. My mother-in-law's apartment complex had been enjoying Level-3 freedom by avoiding any positive cases, allowing residents to, at least, walk out onto the street. But, now, frustration has set back in as a single case has returned her neighborhood back to Level-1. This is the is source of the frustration for so many there. Level-1 has been amended to allow residents to leave their apartments, but it is strongly discouraged by the neighborhood committee with the warning that anyone could be a carrier of the deadly affliction.

Over five weeks, she has now received ten deliveries of rations, a little more frequently and larger now, though at least one was only condiments and cooking accessories, and another was just toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. It's now been five weeks. "Ghost town" conditions persist in much the city, some people are stuck living in train stations and airports, etc. Astounding all around.

Q: (Joe) Why is the Chinese government imposing very harsh lockdowns in Shanghai?

A: They know things about US experiments.
There must be a very good reason behind all these extreme measures. Is the Chinese government trying to decontaminate Shanghai without scaring the population (because revealing the real threat would bring unwanted chaos)?

And this is why I do not like China. Cmon, even if it is some fear of a USA biological weapon, at the very least they can be transparent about it with their citizens. Big thumbs down from me on the CCP. Makes me want to 🤮 the way they are treating their citizens and trying to make copy them.

I think she is quiet luck to receive so much deliveries from authorities, for my part I received less than half of it. There is also the problem of food stolen by Neighborhood Committee (supposed to distribute the food).

Immune-mediated hepatitis with the Moderna vaccine, no longer a coincidence but confirmed

We have read with interest the recent cases suggesting the possibility of vaccine-induced immune-mediated hepatitis with Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna mRNA-1273 vaccines for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. However, as the cohort of vaccinated individuals against COVID-19 increases, the previously reported cases could not exclude a coincidental development of autoimmune hepatitis, which has an incidence of 3/100,000 population per year. Our case demonstrates conclusive evidence of vaccine-induced immune-mediated hepatitis with a rapid onset of liver injury after the first Moderna dose, which on re-exposure led to acute severe autoimmune hepatitis.

Just came across this article from thecovidblog.com that was intriguing for local reasons. But first, the initial article:

College athlete suicide rate for 2022 already shatters previous years, as more data tie suicidal thoughts to mRNA injections
[...]
Mr. Thomas hanged himself in his off-campus apartment on April 26, 2010 at age 21. Scientists found that his brain showed early signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a condition that affects many football players due to constant high-impact collisions on the field. Mr. Thomas, however, had never been diagnosed with a concussion. CTE became a mainstream topic after the 2015 movie “Concussion” starring Will Smith.

Regardless, Mr. Thomas’ suicide was still shocking because of his age. It is also relatively rare for college athletes, particularly of Mr. Thomas’ stature, to commit suicide.

A 2015 study published in the peer-reviewed journal Sports Health analyzed the deaths of 477 college athletes from 2003 to 2012. There were 29 total suicides, and six suspected suicides among those deaths. Most of them (29) were men, and 13 of those were football players. Only six were women. Thus, about four college athletes commit suicide per year, with the vast majority of them being male. The study concluded that college athletes have a lower risk of suicide than the general population. Read the full study here.

That all being said, 2022 is already the most deadly year in history with respect to student-athletes and suicide. And of course, there is one coincidental common denominator this year.

Post-injection personality changes

We started the Virtue Signaling category on The COVID Blog™ because so many people seemed to change into nasty, vile vaxx zealots after their shots.

Mr. Jordan Hayes was one of the first observed cases. He was a typical liberal prior to his injections, but nothing outlandish based on his social media history. Suddenly he started calling the non-vaccinated “idiots and morons” in his final months before dying. Former Sex In The City actor Willie Garson is perhaps the most egregious case. He turned into a completely vile monster on social media after his injections before passing away. Then there’s Mr. Clint Bearden, who was diagnosed with dementia 10 days after his Pfizer injection.

Turkish doctors published a letter to the editor in the journal Brain, Behavior, and ImmunityHealth in October 2021. They described two patients who developed “acute mania with psychotic features” 24 hours after the Pfizer mRNA injections.
[...]
The doctors posited that the mRNA injections “damage the central nervous system via autoimmune mechanisms due to excessive production and release of pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines.” Their alternative hypothesis was that “vaccination may also lead to neuropsychiatric symptoms by damaging thiamine metabolism.”

Three female college athletes commit suicide in seven weeks

In this day and age, you have to take all “sudden and unexpected” deaths of young people, and the reported causes thereof, with a grain of salt. We wrote about Stanford University volleyball player Ms. Katie Meyer last month. She passed away on March 1. But the news reports were vague at the time. All we could do is report that there’s speculation that she committed suicide. Either way, she went to Stanford, which has a booster mandate.

Ms. Sarah Shulze was a 21-year-old University of Wisconsin track-and-field student-athlete.

She was a member of student council and completed internships with the Wisconsin state legislature. Ms. Shulze “suddenly and tragically” passed away on April 13. Her family said she “took her own life.” The University of Wisconsin required students to provide proof of vaccination or get tested weekly.

Ms. Lauren Bernett was the 20-year-old star catcher for the James Madison University (Virginia) softball team.

She was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week on Monday, April 25. Ms. Bernett batted .778 with seven RBIs in James Madison’s three-game series sweep of Drexel University last weekend.

Ms. Bernett died suddenly the next day, April 26. Most of the news reports say no cause of death has been given. Some are saying heart attack on Facebook. Others are saying suicide on Twitter. Regardless, James Madison University reported that 91% of student were fully-vaccinated in September 2021. Those who refused to show proof of vaccination were forced into weekly testing and wearing masks on campus.

Suicide shouldn’t be a taboo subject

Note that Irish soccer player Red Óg Murphy died suddenly on April 1. News reports said he died in his sleep. But then others said it was suicide. So all we could do is report both. Regardless, there was a 90%+ chance he received the injections.
[...]
If all three of these young women truly took their own lives, then 2022 has already tripled the yearly average for female college athlete suicides. Heart attacks, blood clots, autoimmune disorders and sudden death are common adverse effects from the mRNA and viral vector DNA injections. But it’s clear that these experimental injections alter some people’s personalities and mindsets, to the point that some may not like the “new” person the gene therapy changed them into.
The local intrigue has to do with two high profile former OSU quarterbacks - Dwayne Haskins Jr. and Kirk Herbstreit:

Dwayne Haskins Jr. was an American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. He played college football at Ohio State, where he set Big Ten Conference records for single-season passing yards and touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore in 2018. His success earned him the Sammy Baugh Trophy and Kellen Moore Award, along with several conference honors.

Haskins had his greatest on-field success at Ohio State. After spending his first two seasons behind J.T. Barrett, Haskins beat out Joe Burrow to be the Buckeyes' starting quarterback going into the 2018 season.

He backed up the Ohio State coaching staff's decision by delivering perhaps the greatest passing season in program history. He set Big Ten single-season records for passing yards (4,831), touchdown passes (50) and total offensive yards (4,939), in addition to 28 school records.

The record-setting year led to Haskins being named a Heisman Trophy finalist and a third-team Associated Press All-American.

In his final game as a Buckeye, Haskins threw three touchdown passes and for 251 yards in a Rose Bowl victory over Washington.

Sadly, Haskins' pro football career did not pan out as expected:

Haskins started seven games in his rookie year and the first four games the following season but was benched after a 31-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Haskins was released by Washington later that season and went unclaimed on waivers. He signed a reserve/future contract with Pittsburgh in January 2021.

Saying he was humbled by the decision, Haskins stressed he was eager to work hard and absorb as much as he could from Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph. He made the roster as the third-stringer but dressed only once, serving as the backup in a tie with the Detroit Lions after Roethlisberger was placed into the COVID-19 protocol the night before the game.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins died early Saturday morning after he was struck by a dump truck while he was walking on a South Florida highway. Haskins was 24 years old.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Indiana Miranda said Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene.

"He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic," Miranda said in an emailed statement.

She didn't say why Haskins was on the highway near Fort Lauderdale at the time. The accident caused the highway to be shut down for several hours, and Miranda said it's "an open traffic homicide investigation."

As reported in the Columbus Dispatch:
Former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr., a Heisman finalist in his only season as a Buckeye starter, died Saturday morning after he was struck by a truck in Florida, according to police. According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported at 6:37 a.m. on I-595 westbound between I-95 North and South involving a pedestrian and a dump truck. Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Indiana Miranda confirmed Haskins died after he was hit by a dump truck.

Prior to the collision, Haskins was walking westbound on 595 and attempting to cross lanes on the highway for “unknown reasons,” Miranda wrote in an email.
On reading that he was attempting to cross an interstate for unknown reasons - and in light of his less than stellar pro career - the possibility of suicide came to mind. However, friends, family, players all said what an upbeat person he was and that he had strong family ties including a wife and sister. Hard to believe he would give up on himself and his family and choose to end it all. But then again, he likely was vaxxed and maybe that made the difference.

Kirk Edward Herbstreit is an American analyst for ESPN's College GameDay, a television program covering college football, a provider of color commentary on college football games on ESPN and ABC, and on Thursday Night NFL games on Prime Video. For his TV work, Herbstreit has won five Sports Emmy Awards in various categories. He also appeared annually as a commentator in EA Sports' NCAA Football until the series was put on hiatus following NCAA Football 14. From 1989 to 1993, Herbstreit was a quarterback for the Ohio State football team. He played in several games his junior season and was the starting quarterback throughout his senior season.

Kirk Herbstreit: long-time ESPN football analyst will miss NFL Draft coverage this week due to blood clots

A 52-year-old former college football quarterback and long-time television personality is out of action for at least a week due to a very familiar condition on this blog.

Former Ohio State University quarterback Mr. Kirk Herbstreit has been a co-analyst with Mr. Lee Corso on ESPN’s College Gameday since 1996. He never made it to the NFL after college. But Mr. Herbstreit found his calling in broadcasting. He is essentially the face of college football, and one of the most recognizable voices in the industry. But unfortunately he works for Disney-owned ESPN, where vaxx zealotry rules.

ESPN implemented its vaccine mandate in May 2021. Many employees rebelled. SportsCenter co-host Sage Steele called the vaccine mandate “sick” and “scary.”

But ultimately if you want these mainstream media jobs, you must do everything they tell you to do, no matter how immoral or wrong. Steele reluctantly received the injections before the September 30 deadline to keep her job. ESPN baseball reporter Allison Williams admirably stood on principle.

She left ESPN in October due to the mandate. Mr. Herbstreit was not going to allow experimental injections to stand in the way of his iconic status in sports broadcasting. Now he’s paying for it.

It’s unclear when Mr. Herbstreit received his first mRNA injection. But he announced his second Pfizer shot on April 22, 2021, almost exactly a year ago. Mr. Herbstreit said he was thankful and appreciative for the opportunity to receive the shots.

Kirk-Herbstreit2-768x404.png

There’s no definitive proof that Mr. Herbstreit received a booster shot. But ESPN has a booster mandate in place for employees working at stadiums and arenas.

Mr. Herbstreit announced yesterday via Twitter that doctors diagnosed him with a blood clot. He did not provide further details as to the type and location of the clot. Mr. Herbstreit said he will miss the NFL Draft in Las Vegas later this week due to the condition.

Mr. Herbstreit did not indicate when he would return to his other ESPN duties.

I wonder if he's still thankful and appreciative for the opportunity to get shot. And I wonder if he's made the connection of clot to shot. No doubt, he won't go public if he does realize the truth of it - career suicide. Better than actual suicide, but certainly still to be avoided at his pay grade.

ADDED: The rest of the article -

Mr. John Clayton, another long-time ESPN and ESPN Radio personality, passed away on March 22 at age 67. Reports say he died of a “brief illness.” We all know what that means. This blogger told the story of his early radio broadcasting days in a previous article. The things you must do to work in that industry are simply not worth it. Once the novelty ran out, and it became just another job, that was it. Sycophantic obedience is a prerequisite if you desire to work in mainstream media.

We’re seeing several cases recently of people getting sick or dying almost exactly a year after their second injections. Mrs. Kristen Manwaring died after a months-long illness on April 15. She received her second injection on March 3, 2021. Mr. Thomas Senzee died “tragically and unexpectedly” on March 24, 2022. He received his second injection on April 23, 2021. Dr. Charles Hoffe’s prediction that most of the vaxxed will perished within two years is starting to look prophetic.

Wondering if someone can fill me in on the latest CV requirements for Germany for tourists flying in from the US? My hubby and son are planning a trip in the latter part of August. Son is vaxxed and boosted and has no issues wearing a mask. Hubby not vaxxed but has worn mask when necessary for work or shopping. I realize a lot can change between now and August. Thanks in advance.

Don't want to be alarmist, but did anyone hear something regarding surgeries and vaccinating people in the US? I saw a tweet a few weeks ago and it said something about anesthesia and administering of COVID vaccines. But I think it was a misinterpretation saying something about consent and people might be put under anesthesia if they have severe vaccine hesitancy. In any event, I think these days it's good to have a family member or friend accompany any surgery, even if minor.

Amazing coincidence that you mention this, as I logged on just now to report about it. A couple that I know in the north of Shanghai lives in one of two identical. adjacent apartment complexes. A bad smell reached them and they followed it., It led them to the Neighborhood Committee's office. They found piles of rotting vegetables. This news quickly got around until a crowd was outside complaining and a scandal ensued. The committee were probably taking a percentage of deliveries to try to resell on the black market, but failed. Obviously, no one would accept a bad shipment if received, and it is unlikely a labor shortage because there are volunteers associated with each committee, and these distributions would be a priority.

The gov't response to mollify the complaints was typical. They removed/replaced the committee members, blamed incompetence (not criminality) and gave every unit in the complex a pack of meat. When these people told their acquaintances in the adjacent complex, those people went to their committee's office and found the same thing! So, this may be common.

I also hear that distribution of rations, even at the neighborhood committee level, is not equitable, meaning that they are not adjusting distributions for the number of people that live in each unit. It seems very sloppy. This, of course, leads to trading, selling, complaints if given not enough, secrecy if given too much, etc.
